* AffectionateNickname: Originally, Rubbish-George was sort of an insulting name, but the nickname stuck as sort of an affectionate one. The Investigators continue calling him this even after he is no longer homeless.
* ClearMyName: His past reveals that he was suspected to have taken part in a burglary, but he wasn't truly, as revealed by the Investigators.
* TheInformant: Acts as one for the Investigators. He pays attention to all that is around him and no one minds a homeless person. He always wants a little cash in return however. After the events [=SMS=] aus dem Grab", he seems more willing to help them without money in return after all they've done for him.
* MysteriousPast: It isn't clear where he had come from or how he became homeless. However, [=SMS=] aus dem Grab" revealed that George was suspected to be part of a bank robbery and after losing everything, he moved to Rocky Beach.

A friendly rival detective agency to the Three Investigators based in San Francisco. They consist of two members: Corona and Althena.
* BreakingTheFellowship: According to the events of Fluch des Piraten, Corona and Althena had a fierce argument which lead to the pair breaking up, though it seems that at least Althena is still working as a Detective still.
* DistaffCounterpart: They are the female duo counterpart to the Three Investigators, though they claim that 'girls work faster'.
* FriendlyRivalry: Despite being rivals, they are quite friendly with the Three Investigators and the boys were shocked and sad to find out that they split up in Fulch des Piraten.
* MeaningfulName: "Callidae" means 'The Smart Ones' in Latin.
* SixthRanger: They work together with the Investigators during Die Hohle des Grauens.

!!Corona
->Voiced by: Stefanie Kirchberger (Die Drei ??? Radioplay)
The brains of the group.
* PenName Her real name is Juliet, but while working under Callidae, she goes by Corona.
* LovesSecrecy: Much like Jupiter, she likes to keep her theories to herself. Though she did share some of it with Jupiter, who she deems as an equal, much to the chagrin of Bob and Peter.
* The Smart Gal: She's the one that does the thinking between them.

!!Minor Characters

A police officer in the Rocky Beach Police department. He works alongside Inspector Cotta.
* AscendedExtra: He has a bigger part to play in the radio play adaptions.
* BitCharacter: Although he's a recurring character, he doesn't have much of a personality besides being Cotta's right-hand man.
* CharacterCatchphrase: Several. "Got it, Inspector", after Cotta tells him to handcuff someone. There are also "Well, gentlemen" and "Follow me", usually directed at whoever he has handcuffed this time.
* CreatorCameo: In the radio plays, he is voiced by André Minninger, one of the series' current authors who is also responsible for adapting the novels into radio play scripts.
* LastNameBasis: Goodween is only known by his last name.
* MyNaymeIs: There was some confusion about how his name was spelt, varying between: Godween, Godwen, or Godwin. Eventually the spelling 'Goodween' officialized, even though 'Godwin' is the the more generic spelling.
* NumberTwo: Cotta often relies on him for backup whenever he has to make an arrest.
* TheQuietOne: So far, he hasn't had any lines apart from his aforementioned catchphrases.

!!Antagonists

->Voiced by: Judy Winter (Die Drei ??? Radio Plays)
A former psycho-therapist who is known for her ruthless nature and is Bob's nemesis. She manages to avoid arrest three times, though is finally caught in Die Spur der Toten.
* ArcVillain: She becomes the antagonist of what fans call the "Die Franklin-Trilogie" (The Franklin Trilogy), which consists of Stimmen aus dem Nichts, Rufmord, and Signale aus dem Jenseits. The arc finally ends in Die Spur der Toten when she is finally held accountable and arrested. Let's hope she actually stays in jail.
* ArchEnemy: She's one to Bob ever since he had gone to her for "therapy" and had gotten hypnotized by her.
* Foil: Franklin is one to Bob. She plays with the psyche of the mind which is at odds with Bob's more structured and logical mind.
* ManipulativeBitch: She is a conniving one who orchestrated the entire scheme with Abagail Holligan to think her dead sister was haunting her from beyond the grave and manipulated Bob psychologically when he attempted to find out more about her through therapy. She also managed to convince the court she was insane to avoid prison, tries to avoid being arrested by claiming that Bob was a lovesick fool who was in love in her, and then later, orchestrated her own sister's death so she could take her identity. She also repeatedly tries to convince Peter and Jupiter that Bob is losing his sanity.
* NotQuiteDead: Clarissa was thought to be dead, but in reality she orchestrated her sister's (Cassandra Franklin's) death by withholding her medication and took on her identity after she died, letting her sister die as her instead to avoid consequences.
* PsychoPsychologist: She appeared to be just a normal psychologist at first, but her pscyho tendencies were eventually discovered in Stimmen aus dem Nichts. Franklin has her license as a psychologist revoked since then, but she still uses her manipulative tendencies leftover from a psychologist.
* TheSociopath: After all she's done, she definitely is one.
* TheUnfettered: Unlike Victor Hugenay, who tends to be more cordial in his encounters, Clarissa is absolutely ruthless and is willing to harm and even kill other people, even kids, to get her way.
* WouldHurtAChild: She hypnotized Bob and deliberately had Jupiter shot (though he was able to block it). She continues to show no mercy to the Investigators during their meetings.

->Voiced by: Frank Felicetti (Die Drei ??? Radio Play)
An Inspector who sometimes comes to replace Cotta when he's on holiday. He's not evil, but he's much less friendly to the Investigators and believes that he can solve the mysteries on his own.
* GloryHound: While not totally in it for the fame, he does want to take credit for solving a mystery on his own.
* InspectorLestrade: Kershaw has quite a bit of trouble solving more specific mysteries on his own and the Investigators often have to step in to solve it, much to his annoyance.
* LastNameBasis: He's only known by his last name: Kershaw.
* NotNowKiddo: He thinks of the Investigators as this, despite being proven time and time again that they are extremely competent as detectives and it would be in his best interest to work with them instead of driving them away or even finding ways to accuse and arrest them at every oppoturnity.
* PoliceAreUseless: While Cotta is the more helpful side of the police, Kershaw is the straight opposite. He acts outright antagonistic to the main trio and isn't interested in listening to them at all, sometimes even hampering their investigations or even arresting them.

->Voiced by: Ernst Hilbich (Die Drei ??? Radio Plays)
A short, fat, and not particularly talented detective who often keeps trailing the Three Investigators to claim their success as his.
* CluelessDetective: Perry often comes off as this, especially since he's not a very good detective to begin with.
* DetectiveMole: In his first appearance in Gift per E-Mail (Poisoned E-Mail), he's working on the same case as the Three Investigators and always seems to be one step ahead of them, much to their chagrin. It turns out that he's actually involved in the crime and has been using the investigation to cover his tracks.
* ADickInName: It's probably not a coincidence that a character who goes by "Dick" is a colossal jerk to the Three Investigators.
* GloryHound: He does detective work for the glory and not because he actually enjoys solving mysteries. He isn't particularly good at it either.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Despite not being a good detective, he thinks very highly of his skills. This becomes the most evident in "Der Dreitag", when Jupiter and Bob look for a substitute for Peter as their third member. Dick Perry auditions for the position, only to brag about how he could easily replace all three of them.
* StealingTheCredit: One of his main motives and why he harasses the Three Investigators.
