Later, during his death scene, it is one of several events shown in a montage, and instead, he's obviously clearly upset as he hands Tsunade the pendant. Obviously, the latter is more sympathetic as it's part of a sequence showing how twisted he became over time instead of the original portrayal of always being a twisted monster. This actually makes sense in series as well: having become a monster, it's likely that both he and Tsunade have gone out the way to forget that he ever did her any favors. |

Did he bring any edo tensei bodies to assist him, or any Hidden Sound ninjas to distract Itachi? Anything? [[DidNotThinkThisThrough Why, of course not.]] All things considered, he was lucky to escape with only a lost arm. |
