What WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse is to Creator/{{Disney}} and Franchise/{{Mario}} is to Creator/{{Nintendo}}, VideoGame/{{Pico}} is to Platform/{{Newgrounds}} (before WebAnimation/{{Tankmen}} came along, at least).

[[foldercontrol]]

!!Main trio:

[[folder:In General]]
* AdaptationalVillainy: While they are usually portrayed as an anti-heroes they are, few instances of this trope were inevitably going to show up in fan work.
** In Fancy Pants' route in ''Newgrounds Rumble'' [[spoiler: Pico and Nene decided to lure [[VideoGame/FancyPantsAdventures Fancy Pants]] to Newgrounds with the promise of ice cream to kill him since [[DisproportionateRetribution they hate wholesome, non-violent games]].]]
** Inverted with Darnell, who is usually less sadistic than he is in ''Darnell Plays With Fire''. There are still few flashes, that are [[TruerToTheText truer to his debut personality]], like ''Darnell burn 'em up!'' and ''Darnell: Wrath of God''.
* ArtEvolution: While fan flashes will ArtShift them all over the place, their ''ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes''-inspired redesign by [[https://mindchamber.newgrounds.com/ Jose "MindChamber" Ortiz]] (created back when ''Pico 2'' was still in development) remains their main look.
* BadassCrew: There are plenty of flashes where they work as a team, such as ''[[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/493619 Pico V.s. Darkness]]''.
* BadassInDistress: Has happened to both Pico and Nene in various flashes. Darnell is less often a victim of this.
* TheBeautifulElite: Pico and Nene are said to be popular, while Darnell's stat sheet states he's got a high IQ. All are variously portrayed as having the looks and romantic competition to match, Nene more so than the others.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Inverted; Pico and Darnell gravitate towards guns and molotovs, respectively, and Nene is a PsychoKnifeNut.
* InterpretativeCharacter: Almost every single trope mentioned here can be played straight, downplayed or completely ignored and averted, all DependingOnTheWriter.
* MultiRangedMaster (and MultiMeleeMaster): While they have their preferences, the trio are good with any weapon they can get their hands on, up to and including GoodOldFisticuffs.
* OnAScaleFromOneToTen: All three were used on Newgrounds' zero-to-five rating bar (before eventually getting replaced by a Tankman), complete with a side-comment depending on the icon. Pico was used on flash portal for games and movies, Darnell on audio section, and Nene on art submissions. See all of them [[https://preview.redd.it/vhpi06g1gdf61.png?width=954&format=png&auto=webp&s=da2a9b400a2719aea2b8499488ec9d327ff45957 here]].
* RefugeInAudacity: Despite anything law-breaking they can pull off, the closest they tend to get as a punishment is being sent to detention. PlayedForLaughs in ''[[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/534767 Pico Mart]]'', where Luis, one of the market's employees, is the only person arrested by the end of the movie.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Since the three are the series' main focus, any of them can die, [[NegativeContinuity only to be alive and well in the next flash.]]
* TokenTrio: Pico as a white male, Darnell as a black male, and Nene as a TwoferTokenMinority (being an Asian female).
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: All of them are AxCrazy at best and outright psychotic at worst. Darnell is probably the most serious offender, as he enjoys watching people burn alive.
* VagueAge: They can be anywhere between elementary and high-school aged, DependingOnTheWriter and context of the situation. However, Tom Fulp confirmed that all the major characters in Pico's School are high school seniors (around 16-18 years old) in the comment section of his blog post, Pico Jams [[https://tomfulp.newgrounds.com/news/post/1182469 stating that it's based off of his senior year of high school.]] However he later changed his mind and stated [[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/File:PicohasNoAge.jpeg they don't have any specific age]].
** [=MindChamber=] on the other hand, stated [[https://twitter.com/GyltenK/status/1520522219054637060 they're 13]].

[-'''Debut''': ''Pico's School'' (1999)-]

Main protagonist of the series and one of the [[SeriesMascot official mascots]] for Newgrounds. A ProfessionalKiller armed with guns, always ready to take an action, if the situation calls for it.

For tropes pertaining to Pico's appearance in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'', see [[Characters/FridayNightFunkin the game's Characters page]].
------
* NinetiesAntiHero: He may not look like one at first glance, but given his affinity for MoreDakka, and that many of his Flashes embody the gratuitous edginess and VulgarHumour commonplace in UsefulNotes/WebTwoPointOh Internet media, he qualifies.
* AbandonedMascot: {{Parodied|Trope}}; a few fan flashes will pick up on Pico's lowered spotlight within Newgrounds and Tom Fulp shifting focus towards ''VideoGame/AlienHominid'' to (jokingly) depict him as an embittered has-been.
* AccidentalTimeTravel: Ends up on a "trans-temporal-dimensional adventure" in ''Pico's Time Tank''.
* AdaptationalWeaponSwap: Pico's gun was an M-16 in the original game. Good luck finding a fan flash where he ''doesn't'' instead dual wielding MAC-10s, as popularized by ''Pico's Unloaded''.
* AmbiguouslyBi: ''Love Conquers All'' shows him in a relationship with [[VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin Boyfriend]] for a quick gag, building off [[WordOfGay statements by the developers]] of ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]'' that the two dated prior to the events of the game. As ''Love Conquers All'' takes place in an AlternateUniverse, how "canon" this is to the actual Pico is unclear, and his sexuality varies wildly across fan works. This is lampshaded by Tankman in Week 7 of ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]'', where he describes Pico as Boyfriend's "sexually ambiguous angry little friend". [[invoked]]
* BadassInDistress: In ''Operation: Graveyard'', Nene has to rescue his soul from an Ɯberkid death cult.
* BigBrotherMentor: To Otis, in some flashes. It's never concrete ''how'' much older Pico is to him, but he offers support and advice when he can. He even helps Otis prepare for future supernatural problems at the end of ''Pico's Cousin 2''.
* BigManOnCampus: A number of flashes establish him as a popular, well-liked kid, which is part of the reason why Cassandra spares him. Despite coming down on some subculture-based antagonists like geeks or goths/punks, he's shown at times to not have a problem with their interests and will be able to bond with them about them, provided they're open to him first.
* BottomlessMagazines: In most games and flash animations Pico can simply unload on enemies. Zig-zagged in ''Pico's Unloaded'', where he initially mows down the Ɯberkids without worrying about reloading, but finally runs out of ammo after taking all but one of them down.
* BrokenAce: Pico's active in his class and is quite popular, can dance even while shooting a horde of enemies, and is very physically capable of fighting an army on his own. But he also went through a bloody past that culminates in him being often depicted to have retained trauma from the shootings that continues to haunt him, like in ''Pico Paranoid'' and ''Pico Epilogue''.
* CombatBreakdown: In ''Pico's Unloaded'', after he gets rid of almost every single Ɯberkid attacking him, he is faced with a single survivor... and is completely out of bullets in his [=MAC-10s=], so they resort to hand-to-hand, where this Ɯberkid is equally matched to Pico.
* DanceBattler: He's a pretty good breakdancer, and he sometimes combines this with his gunplay, as seen in ''Pico's Unloaded''. He also dances in one of the animations for the fourth Annual Tank Awards.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Defied when Nene refuses his offer in ''Resident Pico''.
* DualWielding: He is most often portrayed in fan flashes holding and firing two [=MAC-10s=].
* EveryoneHasStandards: In ''Love Conquers All'', he's surprisingly understanding of Cassandra's alien origins, and listens to the rest of the Goth Punks' grievances without belittling them. The only thing that shocks and horrifies both him and his Boyfriend is [[FauxHorrific Cassandra's desire to see furry art]].
* FieryRedhead: He's a [[HotBlooded hotheaded]], [[TheGunslinger gun-slinging]] ProfessionalKiller who you definitely don't want to piss off.
* FirstNameBasis: As a testament to his popular status in school, he somehow memorized everybody's name -- even the ones of students who were convinced that he'd never give them the time of day. ''Love Conquers All'' shows that he always uses Cyclops' and Hanzo's true names instead of the ones they're introduced with.
* GunsAkimbo: The original games have him use an AK-47/M-16 Assault Rifle against his opponents. ''Pico's Unloaded'' depicts him with dual [=MAC-10s=], which Pico became better associated with.
* TheGunslinger: Of [[MoreDakka The Vaporizer]] type. He is often portrayed emptying ''many'' rounds of ammunition in most fan flashes, whether it be with an [=AK=]-47/M-16 assault rifle or the dual [=MAC-10s=] he is more associated with.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Can switch between this and SociopathicHero, DependingOnTheWriter. To put an example, in ''Operation: Warehouse'', Pico doesn't seem to care that Nene is kidnapped until he's provoked with a written insult into rescuing her anyway, but makes a genuine DeclarationOfProtection to her in ''Resident Pico''. ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' places him fully at the latter, as he saves Boyfriend and Girlfriend from Tankman's assault in Week 7. Can also be averted depending on how the player plays as him, as he can also spare some of the remaining students in ''Pico's School''.
* ImageSong: Gained one in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'': "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp8VZY3mq_o Pico]]". It makes use of the drum and bass that's heard in many of his flashes, and even includes a {{Leitmotif}} of "[[https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1683 Endless Handbag]]", which was the background music of the Newgrounds front page in the late 90's and early 2000's.
* ImprobableAge: In the timeline of ''UFA'', he's noted to be "a small boy" when he thwarts an alien invasion (implied to be Cassandra's rampage from ''Pico's School'') and [[AChildShallLeadThem takes over Earth]] with the Ghettobots.
* InformedFlaw: Darnell calls Pico "shy and hating confrontation" in the tutorial section of the demo for ''Pico 2'', while Pico had been implied to have been a popular BigManOnCampus in the original game, not to mention that he ''singlehandedly took down a group of school shooters''.
* TheInsomniac: One of his old profile descriptions mentioned that he has a lot of trouble sleeping at night, among other mental health issues. Some fangames will play with the source of his insomnia, whether it be PTSD from previous outings or he just simply can't sleep.
* LawOfDisproportionateResponse: In ''Operation: Warehouse'', Pico gets a letter from the Ɯberkids claiming to hold Nene hostage and challenging him to rescue her. Pico's only response is "...so?". Then he reads a postscript, where they call him a wuss.
* MaliciousMisnaming: Throughout all of ''Pico's School'' and the finale of ''Pico's Cousin 2'', various members of the Goth Punks, most notably Cyclops and Cassandra, call him "Pric(k)o" when they want to be nasty to him.
* OneManArmy: A bunch of goth neo-nazi punks gone postal? There's a DepravedKidsShowHost you want to get rid of? Leave it to Pico, and he'll do the job in no time.
* ParentalNeglect: The earliest prototype of ''Pico's School 2'' has Pico remark that his dad loved his car more than him if the player clicked on his car. Sure enough, said dad is nowhere to be seen.
* ProfessionalKiller: Serves as the reason why he was hired to take down Big Brown Bary in ''Pico vs. Bear'' and Hansel in ''Pico Blast''. It's also why he was hired by the Girlfriend's parents to kill the Boyfriend during Week 3 in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin''.
* QuestForSex: The whole plot of ''Pico Sim Date'' boils down to this. By the request of his son from the future claiming to accidentally mess up the timeline, he has to get along with his future wife, Nene, otherwise his son will cease to exist. How? By studying better, so he could get more intelligence and a job, where he would earn money to buy gifts, and improving his strength (because "if you're trying to go for someone like Nene, there's bound to be competition"). Then he must have two successful dates with Nene and ask her to dance with him at the end of the school year. [[TimedMission And he has 75 days to do all of that]].
* RedheadInGreen: He is always wearing his green sweater along with his khakis in every one of his appearances.
* RuggedScar: He garnered a handful of them in ''Pico Epilogue'' to emphasize him being a fighter and survivor.
* SeriesMascot: Tom Fulp has stated that the WebAnimation/{{Tankmen}} represent the site itself, whereas Pico represents the userbase.
* ShoutOut: He is named after Pico from ''[[VideoGame/CosmicFantasy Cosmic Fantasy 2]]''.
* SleevesAreForWimps: His completely grown-up version in ''Pico Epilogue'' wears a sleeveless military jacket with a tank top, showing his defined arms.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Pico in the ''UFA'' timeline somehow rounded up the Ghettobots and took over Earth, keeping the Penilians at bay for at least 100 years until he died. There's no elaboration on any of this.
* TranquilFury: In ''Pico's Surprise Party'', he has a very outwardly calm response to his house being turned into a killing ground, letting his [=MAC-10s=] do most of the talking.

[[folder:Darnell]]
!!Darnell
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/smug_darnell_static.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:"Pyrotechnics like that bring a tear to my eye."]]

[-'''Debut''': ''Darnell Plays With Fire'' (1999)-]

One of Pico's best friends, a black boy with a love for everything that [[MadBomber explodes]] or [[{{Pyromaniac}} burns]].
------
* ADayInTheLimelight: Aside from his debut flash, ''Darnells burn 'em up!'' and ''Darnell's Recount'' star Darnell as he takes fiery revenge on the world.
* BlackAndNerdy: Darnel lists ammonium nitrate fertilizer and blasting caps as his ingredients, telling the audience that he makes his own explosives in his first game. He also has [[ImprobablyHighIQ an IQ of 241]], which may or may not be a lie.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: ''Darnell Plays With Fire'' showcases his pyromania and sociopathy at its deadliest, excitedly talking in detail about the destruction his fire causes to an entire city. Stories starting from ''Pico's School'' give him the additional ambition to be the school's president, an interest in music, and other hobbies beyond setting things on fire, turning it into one prominent trait among many.
* DemotedToExtra: Downplayed. Despite kicking off the series, Pico's skyrocketing popularity brought Darnell down to secondary status with Nene.
* DisproportionateRetribution: In several fan flashes, where he fails to become a school president, Darnell ends up going on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge against... everything, really.
* ExpositionFairy: Serves this role in the ''Pico 2'' demo, telling Pico who Ghettobots actually are and explaining the controls. He also serves this role in ''Pico Sim Date'', providing Pico with the game's mechanics.
* EvilGenius: [[AntiHero Anti-Hero]] Genius more like it, but he claims to have an IQ of 241 and really, ''really'' likes stuff burning or exploding.
* {{Flanderization}}: While his bid for president in ''Pico's School'' is over the top, it's not much different from other media portrayals of student elections. Fan flashes tend to dial his desire to win up to obsessive levels, to the point of demanding recounts or laying waste to the school itself should he lose.
* TheGhost: His only appearance in ''Pico's School'' is on the poster promoting him as a school president and being referenced by Pico in the optional dialogue.
-->'''Pico''': The exit is locked up during school hours! It keeps kids from getting out. They're lucky Darnell never started a fire in here.
* ImprobablyHighIQ: Has the IQ of 241, according to the official ''Pico's World'' website.
* InformedAttribute: He's noted to be a super genius, but there's not many things indicating he's smarter than Pico or Nene.
* KillItWithFire: In most fan flashes, he has a habit of doing this to people who stand in his way. In ''Darnells burn 'em up!'', he takes revenge against the school by burning the building with everyone in it... [[TakingYouWithMe including himself]].
* LittlestCancerPatient: He claims to have [[YourDaysAreNumbered only five years to live]], though many fan flashes indicate that it's nothing but a lie to boost his chances in becoming a school president. In ''Pico's School: Love Conquers All'', his campaign advertises his integrity, honesty and ingenuity instead, implying either that the claim really was a lie or he just decided to use a better slogan.
* MadBomber: Really likes anything [[StuffBlowingUp explosive]]. It's to the point that he is sadistic about it even during his debut.
* PowerPalms: In few movies, such as ''[=FlashBack=] 00'' and ''Pico V.s. Darkness'', he is able to [[PlayingWithFire create fire from his palms]].
* PurpleIsPowerful: Wears a primarily purple shirt, and is a very competent and intelligent fighter.
* {{Pyromaniac}}: As he makes clear in his introductory animation, he ''loves'' setting things on fire. Even more than that is watching people burn because of things he set on fire.
* {{Sadist}}: He got a lot of enjoyment hearing the screams of burning people when he witnesses the explosion of a commercial airplane.
* SocialCircleFiller: The ''Pico 2'' demo gives him his own circle of friends that he hangs out with, but beyond their appearance there, Pico and Nene are treated as his primary (if not only) friends.
* SwordAndGun: While he loves setting things (and people) on fire, he also carries the modern variant of this trope with a pistol and a knife in place of a sword.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nene]]
!!Nene
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neneresidentpico_7.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:"Protect me? Protect yourself!"]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote: Click here to see Nene's original design]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classicnene.png[[/labelnote]]]]
[-'''Debut''': ''Nene's Interactive Suicide'' (1999)-]

One of Pico's best friends, a suicidal [[TwoferTokenMinority Asian girl]] with an addiction to sharp melee weapons and [[ReallyGetsAround boys]].
------
* AbhorrentAdmirer: Not normally, but ''The Herpes Escape'' sees Pico trying to weasel his way out of a herpes-laden kiss from her.
* ActionGirl: Whenever she's not DrivenToSuicide or plays DamselInDistress (and sometimes even when she is), she's just as proficient in kicking ass as her male friends. ''[[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/534717 Operation: Graveyard]]'' is probably the best example for this trope, where she saves Pico from an Ɯberkid death cult using only a katana. ''Pico vs Convict'' has her [[spoiler:easily winning against Convict until Pico mistakenly shoots her.]]
* AdaptationalJerkass: In ''Darnell Has a Crush'' she refuses to date Darnell because he's black. Darnell responds by filling her locker with explosives. And if the ending is anything to go by, it's implied that she ends up killing Darnell after giving him a smooch while smiling.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Aside from her debut flash, ''Escape from Camp Hostility'' and the aforementioned ''Operation: Graveyard'' have Nene in a starring role.
* AllWomenAreLustful: She's the TokenFemale of the group and is by far the most likely to be depicted as promiscuous and sexually deviant.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: In ''Pico -- RPS Roulette'' she inexplicably comes back to life to save Pico and Darnell from Mr. Flacit, who was about to kill them for violating the rock paper scissors roulette rules. Pico then kills her, saying [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext she was obviously a zombie.]]
* AsianAirhead: In some fan flashes, Nene comes off as more ditzy compared to Pico or Darnell.
* AsianBuckTeeth: Sometimes depicted with two of them, most notably in ''[[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/File:N4.png Pico Roulette]]''.
* AsianStoreOwner: ''Newgrounds Rumble'' has her in charge of the convenience store. Said place serves as her HomeStage.
* BadassAdorable: Wears a cute pink outfit and is likely to be portrayed as just as badass as Pico is. She is notably this in ''Pico vs Convict'', where not only does she ''flip off Convict'' (all while wearing a smile on her face), but she [[spoiler: almost kills the titular shapeshifter near the end of the flash, before Pico shoots her]].
* BeAWhoreToGetYourMan: In ''Pico's Cat Fight'' she strips to try to appeal to Pico after she accidentally rips off Cassandra's shirt fighting her. [[spoiler:It doesn't work, as Pico goes off to make out with Darnell instead.]]
* BladeEnthusiast: ''The Perfect Murder'' had her use a [[DualWielding pair of kitchen knives]], which would become her main weapon in many fan flashes.
* BrokenAce: ''Nene Interactive Suicide'' says of her "even popular girls have problems" right off the bat, then spends the rest of the movie showing her suicidal tendencies. Subverted in most appearances, as her popularity is primarily downplayed in favor of whatever problem she's currently dealing with.
* CombatSadomasochist: She's noted to be both a sadist and a masochist in her flash profile.
* DamselInDistress: Occasionally gets captured, with Pico usually being the one to rescue her.
* DeathSeeker: Whether it be out of genuine suicidal despair or merely out of a whim, she's often looking for death. ''Resident Pico'' even has her wave off Pico's DeclarationOfProtection because she's eager to get EatenAlive by zombies.
* DemotedToExtra: Downplayed; like Darnell, she was given a focus flash before Pico's popularity made her his co-star. She fares a little better than Darnell, as advertisements and banners often position her as Pico's DistaffCounterpart.
* DirtyKid: She's very promiscuous towards boys. And, depending on the creator, even partakes in more than just making out despite her young age.
* DrivenToSuicide: With the reason being a sudden outbreak of herpes, at least in ''Nene's Interactive Suicide''. Other works, like ''Pico's School'' or ''Nene's Sorrow'', may either keep it or give another reason for her suicidal actions altogether. Averted in most of the fan flashes, where she rarely, if ever, shows the signs of this trait in favour of being a ActionGirl.
* DudeMagnet: Since she's often depicted as a popular kid, fan works include Darnell, Pico, and Cyclops among her admirers.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Her immediate [[LawOfDisproportionateResponse idea to kill herself]] when faced with an outbreak of herpes went on to influence her extreme DeathSeeker characterization in most media going forward, including in ''Pico's School'' itself.
* GenuineHumanHide: A Halloween illustration has her go trick-or-treating with Pico dressed up as Darnell...using Darnell's just-skinned face as the mask.
* GirlyBruiser: She is very feminine and also a competent fighter with a preference for knives.
* GirlishPigtails: Nene's appearance in ''Resident Pico'' sees her hair divided into twintails.
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: Her room was littered with stuffed animals and other typically girly items in ''Nene's Interactive Suicide''. Other fan flashes will retain this trait.
* ILoveTheDead: Some flashes give her a necrophiliac trait. She's also very welcome to the zombies having their way with her in ''Resident Pico''.
* InLoveWithYourCarnage: After initially rejecting Darnell for being black in ''Darnell Has a Crush'', she changes her mind after he fills her locker with explosives and nearly kills her. [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence She stabs him right after.]]
* InterchangeableAsianCultures: Nene clearly has East Asian heritage, but what ethnicity she is gets left to the fans. Originally she was named after a (Russian) anime character and makes multiple references to {{Seppuku}}, hinting that she's Japanese, but other popular flashes such as ''Sim Date'' have instead labelled her as Chinese. Going towards the 2010s and into the K-Pop craze, Nene started getting labelled as South Korean too.
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: Nene is often depicted as being aroused by violence, interweaving sexual actions with violent acts.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Fan flashes such as ''Operation: Graveyard'' and ''House of 1,000 Cats'' will have her upgrade from her usual pairing knives to this classic.
* LoveBeALady: She's the most tied to love, lust, and romance out of the three -- heck, even her first appearance was the result of a tryst the day before. She wears hearts on her clothes, she's the most prone to being portrayed as a love interest or an object of desire, and if love is a theme in a flash, it will usually involve Nene in some fashion.
* ALoveToDismember: Invoked in an official Valentine's Day render, where she happily gives her confused crush a box with her lopped-off ear in it.
* MsFanservice: Her original sprite already depicts her with prominent breasts compared to other student girls, but plenty of fan flashes will age Nene up and give her a [[AdaptationalCurves more]] ''[[AdaptationalCurves voluptuous]]'' [[AdaptationalCurves figure]].
* NamedByTheAdaptation: Being a DatingSim, ''Pico Sim Date'' has quite a lot of new information given about her, which most other fan flashes don't tend to explore, such as her full name being Nene Chow. That is, if you take non-Fulp works as canon.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: When a flash in question uses MonochromaticEyes for characters, Nene's eyes have a huge chance to be drawn as two rectangles, representing her Asian nationality. Designs that opt out of using rectangles instead make her eye shape more oval or realistic than the others.
* NothingNiceAboutSugarAndSpice: Nene is a pink-loving GirlyGirl and often portrayed as a bloodthirsty psychopath.
* PinkMeansFeminine: She's the only girl in the trio, and her outfit consists of a dark pink headband, dress/overalls, and shoes, and light pink tights/pants, a light pink shirt, and light pink hearts on her shoes. Mixes with PinkIsErotic, as she's often depicted in fan flashes as attractive and being the most focused with having concupiscent ties.
* PlotAllergy: She's deathly lactose intolerant in ''Nene's Interactive Suicide''. Should you give her the milk carton near the head of her bed, she will down the whole thing, causing her head to explode.
* PsychoPink: In works that play up her ActionGirl status, her bright pink clothes help her stand out amongst the carnage.
* ReallyGetsAround: She's just as promiscuous towards boys as she is suicidal. It's also the reason why she has herpes in ''Nene's Interactive Suicide''.
* ShipTease: If she's not a friend or ally, most fan flashes will depict her as the closest thing Pico has to a love interest. She flirts with him on a number of occasions, shares a kiss with him in ''Pico's Time Tank'', and their biggest romantic outing (''Pico Sim Date'') is all about Pico trying to woo her to preserve their KidFromTheFuture. Sometimes, she gets depicted to be with Darnell instead, like in ''Darnell Has A Crush'' and ''Pico Heartbroken'' (where she cheated on Pico by hooking up with Darnell, which lead to Pico's HeroicBSOD).
* ShoutOut: She is named after Nene Romanova from ''Anime/BubblegumCrisis''.
* SignatureHeadgear: She's never seen without her pink headband.
* SlasherSmile: [[spoiler: Gives a rather ''terrifying'' one as she's about to kill Convict during the climax of ''Pico vs Convict''... that is, until [[DownerEnding Pico mistakenly shoots her in the head]].]]
* SuicideAsComedy: Her near-constant search for that sweet release is ''always'' {{played for|Laughs}} BlackComedy, with one of her official renders even showing her flashing a peace sign at the viewer as she tries to hang herself. Notable exceptions include the wrist-slitting option in ''Nene's Interactive Suicide'', which [[MoodWhiplash is taken much more seriously than the other routes,]] the original ''Pico's School'' (where she's genuinely traumatized by the school shooting) and [[spoiler:''Newgrounds Rumble'' (where she feels lost and confused after becoming the ruler of the Portal, especially since she just had Pico turn against her, leaving her no other option but to kill him)]].
* TwoferTokenMinority: She is Asian, and the only girl in the trio.
* UnwantedRescue: Refuses Pico's insistence on protecting her because she ''wants'' her brains eaten out in ''Resident Pico''. Averted in many non-Fulp works, such as ''Operation: Warehouse'', where she's more thankful for being rescued.
* WhatTheHellHero: Pico gives her a very disappointed look when he finds out she refuses to date Darnell because he's black in ''Darnell Has a Crush''.
* YourHeadAsplode: This happens when the milk is selected in ''Nene Interactive Suicide''. Upon drinking the beverage, she, being lactose intolerant, vomits blood before her head blows up a few seconds later. [[note]]In real life, the consequence of lactose intolerant person drinking milk are far tamer, while causing diahrea, bloating and nausea, is not something deadly. The game treats the topic as a BlackComedy in its finest[[/note]]

!!Antagonists:

!!!'''The Goth Punks:'''

[[folder:In General]]
* AerithAndBob: The four main members have names that split the difference between normal (Cassandra and Hanzo) and outlandish (Alucard and Cyclops). The true names of Cyclops and Hanzo, however, put the normality of names at 3:1.
* AxesAtSchool: They launch an all-out attack on their own classmates with an assortment of assault rifles (and one sword) they snuck in to school.
* DysfunctionJunction: According to ''Love Conquers All'', everyone on the team has some kind of problem to make them rebel. Cyclops was bullied for his eyepatch, Alucard was experimented on as a baby, Hanzo was the kid everybody ignored, and Cassandra was sent to raze Earth to make way for her home planet's people.
* TheGhost: Flashes that directly refer to the events of ''Pico's School'' usually mention their actions. ''Pico's Cousin 2'' in particular had [[PosthumousCharacter their deaths]] be the impetus for the antagonists' plot... save Cassandra, [[TheFriendNobodyLikes who is remembered as a bitch and a turncoat]].
* InformedAttribute: There are some members of the group that aren't goth or punk at all. The original ''Pico's School'' included what looks like a {{beatnik}} as a RedShirt, while mainstay Hanzo dresses like a {{ninja}} rather than either of the main subcultures. The goth kids that would have been their protƩgƩs in ''Pico 2'' carry on the tradition through their inclusion of Durst, a Nu-Metal fan who couldn't fit anywhere else.
* {{Leitmotif}}: In ''Pico's School'', their scenes are accompanied by an instrumental punk track. The original version of the game even combined this with MotifMerger for their boss fights, where another punk instrumental was overlaid with Pico's [=DnB=] drums.
* LonersAreFreaks: All of them were outcasts exploited by Cassandra due to their not fitting anywhere else.
* NonIndicativeName: Out of the members, only three of them are either goths or punks. Hanzo is an OccidentalOtaku, while the unnamed kids around Cassandra include a beatnik and a generic RedShirt. Even one of the "punks", Cyclops, is implied by Pico to be nothing more than a poser.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: According to ''Love Conquers All'', Cyclops (more obviously) and Hanzo (less obviously). Pico is the only character who says their real names when talking to them. Tom Fulp has also confirmed Alucard as using a nickname.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: In at least one continuity, the main four are the kids that would otherwise be picked on, abused, or ignored, with other fan games implying their followers are just as lonely and attention-seeking. Fittingly, their enemy is the resident BigManOnCampus.
* SimilarSquad: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', all of them (aside from the returning Hanzo) also has a cousin with a similar skillset. Casandra's is named [[SpearCounterpart Damien]], Alucard's is named Ozmoze, and Cyclops' has NoNameGiven.
* SpearCarrier: There are two extra members of the group encountered at the end of ''Pico's School'', seen hiding in the boiler room. They barely move from their spot and get one line each, characterizing them as kids who just wanted space for themselves, before being unceremoniously gunned down by Cassandra.
* SpreeKiller: These four are responsible for the massacre of an entire high school, done in a few short hours.
* SubcultureOfTheWeek: A more tongue-in-cheek example than most.
* SuperGullible: Goths and Punks are in general portrayed as easily manipulated nonconformists, mostly stemming from their status as outcasts who want to feel noticed or important. ''Pico's Cousin 2'' exaggerates this to the point where the Penilians ''deliberately'' target them as lackeys for their insecurities.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: At their most well-behaved, Pico can get them to stand down by talking to them like misguided friends. At their worst, however, he gives them a BreakingSpeech before curbstomping them.
* TeensAreMonsters: All of them are vaguely-teenaged antisocial murderers.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Like with the main trio, which of them are alive and which are dead depends on the flash. Often they'll get killed only to come back later.
* TokenNonHuman: As far as Tom's flashes are concerned, Cassandra is the alien leader of a group of human outcasts.
* UnwittingPawn: Cassandra's human lackeys were all merely pawns in her bid to conquer the earth. ''Love Conquers All'' has her genuinely befriend them instead.
* VagueAge: While they look and act no older than the other kids in most interpretations, Pico consistently refers to their anger as "teen {{angst}}" in both versions of ''Pico's School''.

[-'''Debut''': ''Pico's School'' (1999)-]

[[BigBad The main antagonist]] of the original ''Pico's School''. She is the leader of the Goth Punks, who got fed up with the American education system and decide to turn their school into a battlefield.
------
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: In ''Love Conquers All''. While Pico brings out the best in her by talking her down from her shooting and bonding with her, she's shown to have already [[BecomingTheMask bonded with her fellow Goth Punks and cared for them]], whereas in the original game she saw them as nothing more than pawns and [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness even shot some of them herself.]]
* AlienAmongUs: Has already infiltrated human society by the time her debut game starts, though how much anybody knows about her alien origins depends on the flash. She becomes a more benign example after being talked down in ''Love Conquers All''.
* AlienInvasion: In ''Love Conquers All'' she says that her purpose for being on Earth is to conquer it for her kind.
* AliensAreBastards: She is a member of the Penilians, detailed further below.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Her ambiguous crush on Pico goes nowhere in ''Love Conquers All'', as he's already got a boyfriend by the time he befriends her. She appears to be fine with the revelation, being more upset that the two judge her interest in furry art more than anything.
* AmbiguouslyBi: In ''Love Conquers All'', she states all Penilians are gay, because all Penilians are the same sex; however, in the original ''Pico's School'' (and in ''Love Conquers All''), Cyclops says the only reason Pico wasn't shot with the rest of his class was because Cassandra has a crush on him, which she neither confirms nor denies. Some fan works also give her an interest in Nene, such as ''Cassandra's Revenge''.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: The only way to do damage to her alien form in the final battle is by targeting the dangling genitalia between her legs. ''Pico Roulette'' implies this to be the case for her human form as well, as if she loses RockPaperScissors and has to try her luck with the gun, [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/pico/images/6/60/Frames.gif/revision/latest?cb=20210302031348&format=original she aims for the crotch]].
* BecomingTheMask: While by the end of ''Pico's School'' she claims her siding with the goths was a front, ''Love Conquers All'' has her embarrassed by Pico confessing the plan to Alucard and legitimately upset at her interactions with him being read as uncaring manipulation, to the point of calling herself a "grade-A dingus" for walking over his feelings.
* BigotWithACrush: She hates humanity yet according to Cyclops, has a crush on Pico that made her initially spare him from her classroom massacre.
* BizarreAlienBiology: She is a Penilian, which according to ''Love Conquers All'' are a [[OneGenderRace one-sex]] [[{{Hermaphrodite}} hermaphroditic race]] with large sexual characteristics. And that's not even going into her true form's other oddities, such as their overlong arms and mandibles.
* BodyHorror: Her transformation into her Penilian body involves her face splitting in half and her head twisting upside down.
* CreepyCrosses: She has golden inverted crosses on her shoes, which are seen by many as a blasphemous symbol.[[note]]Traditionally, an upside-down cross was seen as a ''holy'' symbol of Saint Peter, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. However, the symbol has picked up traction as an anti-Christian, even downright Satanic symbol in recent years, especially among various Goth subcultures.[[/note]]
* ADayInTheLimelight: ''Cassandra's Revenge'', a RussianReversal fan game where she attempts to get back at Pico by gunning him down.
* DepravedBisexual: Cassandra has apparently had a crush on Pico, claims all Penilians are gay, and in ''Love Conquers All'' is shown to be into furry art when she asks to go to a museum depicting it. While it's downplayed in ''Pico's School'', where far more focus is given on her massacre than her preferences, it's subverted in ''Love Conquers All'', where she only reveals this information after she makes her HeelFaceTurn.
* DevilishHairHorns: She sports a huge pair of hair spikes. These not only denote her as evil, but become her mandibles when she transforms into a Penilian.
* EvilRedhead: A murderous red-haired goth girl leading the Goth Punks and the main antagonist of the first game.
* ExorcistHead: When she transfroms into her Penilian self, her head rotates vertically 180 degrees.
* EyeBeams: In her boss form, her main method of attack is shooting energy blasts from her eyes.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of goth music. She calls goth music "the best in all of time and space" and is talked down when Pico shows appreciation for the genre.
* FatBastard: Mindchamber's version of her retains the bulkiness of her original sprites, unlike her teammates' skinnier redesigns. As the cruelest member of the group and the leader, it also makes her LargeAndInCharge.
* FieryRedhead: She's a redhead with a... rather poor temper.
* ForWantOfANail: Tragically, ''Love Conquers All'' shows that Cassandra could have easily been befriended and turned to the side of good.
* GothGirlsKnowMagic: Downplayed. Cassandra carries a spellbook with a pentagram on it and has shapeshifting powers, but it's unclear whether she's using magic or if shapeshifting is an inherent ability to Penilians.
* HairTriggerTemper: What initially starts her rampage is her teacher giving a particularly juvenile lesson to her class, causing Cassandra to snap and declare the American education system as "bullshit".
* TheHeart: While she is the leader of the Punk Rock/Goth Gestapo, she is also their emotional center; the others only got involved in the shooting to please her since she was the only one to befriend them and listen to their problems.
* HumanityOnTrial: While she's simply fed up with American education in ''Pico's School'', the ''Love Conquers All'' spinoff has her admit that she's holding Earth accountable for all of the ills of the modern world. Pico takes her around school to show her life, and people, aren't nearly as bad as she thinks.
* HumanoidAbomination: Considering the Penilians arguably border on EldritchAbomination territory, Cassandra's HumanDisguise could be considered this. Even in ''Love Conquers All'', she showcases her Penilian form's eyes while still using said disguise, implying that she can show others some of her true form's attributes if she chooses to.
* ImmuneToBullets: Apart from her groin, she cannot be injured by bullets...normally. If you manage to blow up the furnace, her back will be vulnerable to bullets from the policemen behind the school and she will take damage that way.
* InconsistentSpelling: Her name is either spelled with one "s" or two. This is a common in-joke among fans who would spell her name either way, sometimes interchangeably, even after [[WordOfGod Tom Fulp]] [[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page?file=TomFulp+Pico+Questions.jpg confirmed]] that the correct spelling is "Cassandra".
* LegendaryInTheSequel: In the timeline of ''UFA'', her defeat at the hands of Pico goes down in history as the event that would lead to his reign. The remaining Penilians are depicted as wearing similar clothes to her 100 years on.
* MagneticHero: Inverted. The Punk Rock/Goth Gestapo only forms because all the main members are, in some way, grateful to Cassandra for being there for them. However, she doesn't care about them or their problems at all... at least in the original game. She sort of feels bad about preying on their vulnerabilities in ''Love Conquers All''.
* MakeupIsEvil: One of the few characters in the Picoverse depicted with makeup, in her case thick eyeliner, nail polish, and crimson lipstick. She's also a destructive Penilian who sparks a school shooting. Some interpretations of her ignore the lipstick, however.
* MorphicResonance: Her DevilishHairHorns is evocative of her mandibles in Penilian form.
* MultipleChoicePast: While the majority of flashes depict her as a natural-born Penilian in a HumanDisguise, sent by the Penilians to conquer the Earth, ''A Pico Thing'' claims that she was a mere human infused with Penilian DNA by her younger brother.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: She is only defeated because she spared Pico during her initial classroom shooting.
* NighInvulnerability: The only way she can be damaged is either by shooting her [[AchillesHeel in the crotch]] or InTheBack, and even then the latter method needs an impressive amount of firepower to scratch her. She ignores bullets otherwise, and even shooting her eyes just distracts her from firing her eye beams at Pico.
* ObviouslyEvil: Blood red DevilishHairHorns? [[DarkIsEvil Primarily black]] outfit that's also decorated with inverted crosses? What part of her design ''doesn't'' scream evil?
* OddFriendship: In ''Love Conquers All'' she is talked down by Pico simply mentioning he's also a fan of goth and industrial music, which makes her pause long enough in her rampage to be reasoned with and be befriended by him despite her having been sent by the Penilians to conquer the Earth. Her flustered reactions when confessing her plans to her teammates, especially towards Alucard, also implies she thought of them as friends to some extent.
* OneWingedAngel: She turns into a Penilian once finally confronted by Pico at the end.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: She couldn't get any more obvious if she tried. In true goth/punk fashion, she wears all dark and red clothing.
* RedGreenContrast: Her outfit features a lot of blood-red accents, in contrast to her opponent Pico's green sweater and yellow-green khakis.
* RedIsViolent: The first thing she does upon her introduction is shoot down an entire classroom, and her later appearances aren't much better. Her temper gets the best of her in her final confrontation, [[BadBoss needlessly shooting her fellow Gestapo members]] simply because she doesn't "need these fucks to deal with [Pico]".
* TakeOverTheWorld: She claims her shooting is the first step in a multi-part plan with this trope as the eventual goal.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the only explicitly female member of the original group, but on the flip side she's also their leader.
* StockSoundEffect: In her Penilian form, she has [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} Godzilla's iconic roar]].
* StrawHypocrite: Hints at being this, declaring that she doesn't care about the "society crap," and is using the goths as part of a separate plan (presumably to conquer the world for her race). Subverted in ''Love Conquers All'', where not only is she genuinely into the goth/punk scene (to the point of declaring the music the "best in all of time and space"), but her true plan has every bit to do with society.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: In ''Love Conquers All'' Pico talks her down from her planned shooting and the two become friends.
* TeamMom: In ''Love Conquers All'', where she genuinely cares about her fellow Goth Punks and they all follow her lead. Pico remarks that Alucard at least has taken her up as a ParentalSubstitute for his abusive father.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: The only things denoting her as female in her pre-Mindchamber design are her red fingernails and red lipstick.
* TokenHeroicOrc: Her ''Love Conquers All'' self is the only Penilian in any canon or fan game that has some sort of standards and can be befriended, and even then the latter point takes some major convincing.
* VillainousCrush: Cyclops claims Pico wasn't shot alongside his classmates because Cassandra has a crush on him. How right Cyclops is depends on the flash, having it go from mere speculation to (at least in ''Pico's Cat Fight'') actually fighting other prospective love interests over dating him.
* VillainousLegacy: She may be gone after her defeat in the Fulp games, but her actions are what turned Pico into the action star he is today, and the massacre she spearheaded directly led to the introduction of the Ghettobots and Ɯberkids to the school. In the cancelled ''Pico 2'' plot, her influence extended to inspiring another group of goth punks that would have gone on to be threats of their own.
* YellowEyesOfSneakiness: Her eyes in Penilian form are yellow and she is evil.
* YouWillBeSpared: Played with. Pico's the only classmate that survives Cassandra's initial attack. Cyclops speculates that it's because of a crush, but it's left ambiguous as to whether this is true or she simply forgot him in the chaos. Averted once Pico makes it clear he intends to stop her massacre, at which point Cassandra throws her henchmen at him one by one before taking him on herself.

A one-eyed member of Goth Punks, whom Pico encounters in the hallway in ''Pico's School''.
------
* AintTooProudToBeg: The moment Pico disarms him he starts whimpering and begging for his life.
* AppropriatedAppellation: While he's referred to as Cyclops throughout the game, Pico at his best will refer to him by his real name instead. Cyclops also mentions that he's often teased for his missing eye, so it's suggested his alias was him acknowledging his classmates' malicious teasing.
* BigBad: In ''Pico Sim Date'', where he wants Nene to himself and orders his own mooks to bring her to him. After they fail to do so, he becomes the FinalBoss, [[AdaptationalBadass trying to deal with Pico personally.]] He returns in the sequel to take revenge.
* BringMyBrownPants: He wets himself if Pico announces his intentions to kill him.
* CameBackWrong: Unused animations for ''Pico 2'' had him [[BackFromTheDead revived as a zombie.]]
* DirtyCoward: The moment Pico disarms him he starts crying and begging for his life pathetically. He'll even wet himself if Pico tells him he's not getting spared.
* EyepatchOfPower: Inverted. While Alucard, Hanzo and Cassandra have their own boss battles, Cyclops is a very minor obstacle which barely serves any real threat to Pico. Even worse, ''Love Conquers All'' reveals that the reason why he sides with Cassandra in first place is that the other kids were making fun of him because he wears an eyepatch. Played straight in ''Pico Sim Date'', however, where he TookALevelInBadass.
* HateSink: He's the most loathsome of the Goth Punks at a base level, [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain wearing swastikas,]] trash talking, shooting Pico even if he asks for mercy, and immediately dropping into pathetic and undignified begging himself the second he's disarmed.
* ILied: Even if Pico asks Cyclops to spare him and he agrees to do so, he will shoot Pico across the hallway. The only way to get past him is with violence.
* LighterAndSofter: In ''Love Conquers All'' he doesn't wear swastikas anymore. Fittingly he is able to be redeemed, unlike in the original game.
* InterruptedSuicide: [[spoiler:At the beginning of ''Pico Sim Date 2'', he prepares to cut his wrist due to his defeat from Pico in the previous game, until a mysterious voice interrupts him to give a special charm that would help him get the revenge.]]
* KilledMidSentence: The player doesn't have to wait for his dialogue to end to kill him.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: He wears swastikas on his shoes. Though according to WordOfGod, he does it to be edgy and not out of genuine anti-Semitic beliefs.
* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: If you select "Go eat dick" in the confrontation with him, Pico will call him out on being a trend-chasing poser, as he remembers Cyclops being a Music/PearlJam fan, and going through a "G-squad" phase before becoming a goth.
* RefugeInAudacity: His original appearance had him sporting swastikas on his shoes, which given his fad-chasing track record and lack of nazisms was probably done to make himself look more like a punk. His least hostile appearance depicts him without them.
* ShutUpKirk: Short of a [[TalkToTheFist gun to the face]], Cyclops will reject Pico in [[MortonsFork both options you're given]]. If you tell him to spare Pico, he'll agree to it, but shoot him anyway to get him out of his face. If he mocks Cyclops' fad chasing tendencies instead, he'll shut Pico up because he listens to techno music and then shoots him.
* SmugSnake: He has derisive words for both Pico and Cassandra and has the most trash talk of any of the Goth Punks minus their leader. He's also a joke as soon as Pico has a weapon, being very easily dispatched and begging for his life and wetting himself the second he's at a disadvantage.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: In ''Pico Sim Date 2'' he gets his hands on a charm, created by Dipuc the Hate Demon, which he uses to get the revenge on Pico and have Nene, alongside 4 other girls, to hate him. What Cyclops isn't aware of, is that said charm is an ArtifactOfDoom, that slowly consumes his soul. As a side-effect, he changes his appearance and becomes even stronger than he was in the first game. Once he is fully consumed by it, Dipuc will be set free and destroy all of the "[=NGverse=]", so Pico sets on another TimedMission to befriend the aforementioned girls, who can give him some information on Cyclops and Nene's whereabouts.
* TheTeamNormal: Cyclops lacks Cassandra's alien nature, Alucard's telekinetic powers, and Hanzo's ninja skills, with his only claim to fame being the gun he wields while standing guard that can be easily shot out of his hands.
* TechnicolorEyes: His working eye is as pink as his mohawk in ''Pico's School''. Most other non-Fulp works give him blank white eyes like most other characters, however.

------
* AbusiveParents: His father went to jail for experimenting on him as a baby. When Alucard visits him, he only ever wants to discuss Alucard's powers and nothing else about his life.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: His skin is pale purple, likely an effect of his psychic powers.
* AttackReflector: Shooting him directly results in him throwing a force field up, sending whatever bullets back and taking off a chunk of your health. He only drops this if you shoot all of the corpses he throws at you without missing once, leaving him confused long enough to get a hit in.
* DirtyCoward: After using the corpses of his former classmates to fight Pico, Alucard becomes a scaredy cat when faced with the possibility of death, hiding himself behind a pile of chairs and threatening Pico with a lawsuit for harassment.
* DisappearedDad: In ''Love Conquers All'', he claims that his father was doing experiments on him when he was young, for which he was sent to jail.
* FreudianExcuse: In ''Love Conquers All'', Alucard is the most gung-ho to start the massacre due to all the psychic training he had to endure. Pico theorizes he's been using Cassandra as a substitute for his equally demanding dad, and when he's calmed down, Alucard decides to talk it out with him.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: He attacks Pico by throwing the corpses of his dead classmates at him.
* {{Invisibility}}: Discussed as a potential ability of his in ''Love Conquers All'', though he isn't quite there in actually achieving it.

Second boss of the game, a {{ninja}} found in the girls' bathroom.
------
* AdaptationalDumbass: Hanzo in their original appearance is surprisingly sharp and dangerous; they hold hostage and kill two girls in the girls' bathroom, know they can't hope to fight Pico in the light, and wear dark clothing in order to blend in with the darkened room. However, in ''Pico's Cousin 2'', despite being stronger they lack all of the advantages they had against Pico, with their only remaining tactic being wildly slashing and speeding past Otis.
* AmbiguousGender: At least, according to [[WordOfGod Tom Fulp]] in this [[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page?file=TomFulp+Pico+Questions.jpg Q&A]]. However, ''Pico's School: Love Conquers All'' disputes that claim, [[spoiler:as their real name is revealed to be "Harold".]][[note]]It must be said that the original ''Pico's School'' and ''Love Conquers All'' exist together as alternate timelines.[[/note]][[invoked]]
* BringMyRedJacket: Their appearance in ''Pico's Cousin 2'' has them ditch the blue outfit for an all red ensemble. As they're an opponent in this game, Otis makes sure to drench their new duds in blood.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Subverted. They wear a bright, all-blue ninja costume, which would normally fit under this trope. In the dark, however, the blue helps them blend in to the point that what kills them is instead the light streak from their night vision. Played completely straight in ''Pico's Cousin 2'', where their red clothes offer zero strategic advantages both in the dark and light.
* ICantBelieveAGuyLikeYouWouldNoticeMe: Platonic variant. Hanzo is shocked that someone as beloved and popular as Pico would ever give them the time of day. Pico then inverts it and asks Hanzo if they'd ever talk to ''him'' provided they have the opportunity.
* McNinja: The kid's a full-fledged ninja at a relatively average high school, and in at least one continuity, only became one because of their greater Japan obsession. If their boss fight is any indication, they're a natural at it.
* NightVisionGoggles: Sports a pair of night vision goggles over their ninja garb, which they use to their advantage in their boss fight.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', they are rebuilt by the Penilians into an [[BackFromTheDead undead]] [[{{Cyborg}} cyborg]] [[{{Ninja}} ninja]].
* NotInThisForYourRevolution: At least in ''Love Conquers All'', they admit they don't really want to shoot up the school. They only agreed to do it because they'd be helping out Cassandra, who [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe was the only person who would talk to them]].
* OccidentalOtaku: ''Love Conquers All'' reveals that they're not even Japanese--just a kid pretending to be. They're especially fond of gritty anime, and Pico bonds with them by telling them about Nene's [[ShoutOut name inspiration]].
* OffWithHisHead: Their outcome after being defeated by Pico is getting decapitated.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Comes with their Penilian upgrades in ''Pico's Cousin 2''. Their eyes dramatically glow red just before they're about to face Otis.
* TheRuntAtTheEnd: Out of all the main Punk Rock/Goth Gestapo members, their outfit and theme has the least to do with anything goth, rock, or punk.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: They wear a long red scarf along with their ninja costume, and they're the only member of the group to injure Pico without getting countered.
* ShoutOut: They are named after and [[WholeCostumeReference dress like]] Hanzo Hattori from ''VideoGame/SamuraiShodown''.
* StepIntoTheBlindingFight: They shut off the lights in the bathroom before their fight, with only the light of their night vision allowing Pico to tell where they are.
* TimeLimitBoss: Unlike the other bosses in ''Pico's School'', their attacks can't be avoided. You'll have to gun them down before they kill you.
* TookALevelInBadass: Hanzo claims to have defeated Pico in ''Pico's Cousin 2'' before fighting Otis, and sure enough Pico is found trapped in a cage. However, Otis disputes this claim, and it's unknown exactly how Damien managed to imprison Pico.
* ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption: They are the only miniboss that is inevitably killed. Cyclops can be spared by choosing the "Run home to mommy" dialogue, while Alucard can be ignored after taking his key.
* WeCanRebuildHim: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', they reveal themselves to be rebuilt with Penilian tech. This justifies how Hanzo is still alive in the game, even though they were decapitated by Pico back in ''Pico's School''.

[[caption-width-right:312:"I think I smell...'''destruction!'''"]]
[-'''Debut''': ''Pico vs. Bear'' (1999)-]

A twisted {{parody}} of ''Series/BearInTheBigBlueHouse'' for the ''VideoGame/{{Assassin}}'' series. Their members include:
* '''Big Brown Bary''': A morbidly obese parody of Bear himself with a helmet, he is a DepravedKidsShowHost who Pico was tasked to take down.
* '''Piss & Poop''': Pip & Pop envisioned as co-dependent homos. They attempt to flank Pico at the start of the game.
* '''Titty''': A pestilence-spreading mockery of Tutter who throws firebombs at Pico.
* '''Hoe-Joe & Hoe-Bear''': Ojo if she were Bear's possible daughter/molestation victim. She serves as a MiniBoss after the initial round against Bary, protected by a similar parody of Snowbear.
* '''Creepo''': A mentally-lacking mockery of Treelo who's way too out of it to be of any use.
------
* AdaptationalBadass: In ''Pico vs. Bear DX'', instead of dying when you electrocute him, Bary enters a OneWingedAngel form called Mechabear.
* AdaptedOut: Luna and Ray have no counterparts here, but are alluded to in the mission briefing (as delusions of Bary's fractured mind).
* AlliterativeName: '''B'''ig '''B'''rown '''B'''ary.
* AngryEyebrows: Their main distinguishing features from their basis.
* BearsAreBadNews: Bary has no mercy towards any kids coming to his house. The moment Pico comes in, Bary claims to smell '''HATE''' and '''DESTRUCTION''', and prepares a gun to kill Pico. Hoe-Joe and Hoe-Bear aren't BearyFriendly, either.
* BossArenaUrgency: Bary will gradually destroy the bushes you need to use for cover in the first round. Once they're gone, there's nothing stopping him from ventilating you.
* CaptainErsatz: When ''Pico vs. Bear'' (Originally titled ''Bloodshed in the Big House that Blew'') first came out, Bary looked almost exactly like Bear from ''Series/BearInTheBigBlueHouse'', which the owners of the show were not pleased with. The original version was taken down, and Bary was resigned with darker fur and a military helmet.
* DepravedKidsShowHost: Not only is Bary willing to [[WouldHurtAChild murder the kids]], he likes to expose his genitalia to the press. He's also suspected as a [[PaedoHunt child molester]], [[ParentalIncest including his own daughter(?)]], Hoe-Joe. When Pico enters his kitchen, player gets a view of various famous bear characters (specifically Franchise/WinnieThePooh, WesternAnimation/YogiBear, and Brother and Sister of Literature/TheBerenstainBears) either dead or captured, all of them implied to be Bary's victims.
* HandicappedBadass: He's mentioned as having an immobile right arm, much like that of UsefulNotes/BobDole ("and other parts of Bob Dole I do not wish to discuss"), which doesn't stop him from posing a threat or using a shotgun with both hands.
* TheLoad: Creepo does absolutely nothing except chug several cans of beer.
* TheNoseKnows: In reference to Bear's strong sense of smell in ''Bear in the Big Blue House'', Bary is said to have issues sniffing people.
* OhCrap: After having his arms shot off, Bary says, "Uh-oh," and [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere flees inside]].
* OptionalBoss: The game's version of Shadow does not appear in the briefing at the start of the game but can be encountered in the den, which is not required to clear the game. She attacks by [[InterfaceScrew eating the shadows of the player's health bar, depleting it in the process]].
* PuzzleBoss:
** His final stage has him covering himself with bombs - shooting him directly will blow up the house, so you need to [[spoiler:shoot the sink and the microwave, which will electrocute and finish him off]].
** Shadow, being a LivingShadow, is immune to bullets. [[spoiler:To defeat her, you need to shoot out the light.]]
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Bary's weapon is a shotgun.
* TakingYouWithMe: After Pico shoots his arms off, Bary hides in the kitchen, covers himself with explosives ([[WillingSuspensionOfDisbelief somehow]]) and attempts to take down the entire house, along with Pico.
* TimeLimitBoss: In the kitchen, he dresses himself with bombs. Pico has 30 seconds to shoot the items in the room necessary to defeat him without the bomb setting his house on fire.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Ho-Joe and Titty both attack by chucking firebombs, which can fortunately be shot and destroyed.
* TurnsRed: When reduced to low health, Bary injects himself with adrenaline and starts shooting much faster.

[-'''Debut''': ''Pico vs. Ɯberkids'' (2000)-]

The creations of the Human Genome Project, designed to be superior than average humans in every way, who Pico, Nene and Darnell challenge to a game of RockPaperScissors [[RussianRoulette Roulette]]. In other works, they are commonly depicted as a resident CannonFodder for Pico & friends to tear apart.
------
* [[{{AdaptationalJerkass}} Adaptational Jerkass]]/[[{{AdaptationalVillainy}} Adaptational Villainy]]: In their original game they make no efforts to harm Pico, Darnell, or Nene, only being rude if they win. Subsequent flashes show the Ɯberkids acting quite threateningly to the trio, ranging from kidnapping them to outright attmepting to murder them.
* ArtificialHumans: Born from the Human Genome Project, these kids were crafted specifically to be the perfect specimens.
* TheDividual: They're all completely interchangeable, have very little characterization, and don't have any unique dialog in their original appearance.
* ExcrementStatement: They [[{{Mooning}} turn over, drop trou,]] and unload right then and there should they win the game.
* InformedAbility: Their physical and mental superiority doesn't get a chance to shine in ''Pico vs. Ɯberkids''. [[InvokedTrope This is deliberate]] in their debut flash as mentioned below, but their later appearances aren't all that impressive, either.
* KingKongCopy: A giant Ɯberkid [[BeastWithAHumanFace with a gorilla body]] rampages through the Portal in ''Pico's Brother''.
* LogicalWeakness: Pico first defeats them by choosing the one game that can put them on a surefire playing field -- a game of mere luck.
* {{Mooks}}: Since ''Pico's Unloaded'', it became more common to portray them as mooks for the main trio to mow down.
* MookMaker: At least one fan flash reveals that their ranks include "Ɯbermoms" that can spawn more Ɯberkids at will.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: In ''Run, Darnell, Run'', they're members of the UsefulNotes/KuKluxKlan!
* TerminatorImpersonator: The Ɯberkid in ''Ɯberkid's Revenge'' is the classic "Skelebot9000 beneath synthetic skin" parody.
* ThemeTwinNaming: All of the Ɯberkids have "Ɯber" as the prefix to their name. Their introductory game, for example, has Ɯbersam, Ɯberjon, and Ɯberfred.
* VillainyFreeVillain: Only in their first appearance. The worst they do is mock the main trio if they blow their brains out, but otherwise the Ɯberkids don't do much.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: After losing 2/3 or 3/3 to Pico, Nene, and Darnell, the whole Genome Project gets canned and ''all'' remaining Ɯberkids get thrown into a landfill.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: To wit, they are all stated as having been born "[[ReallyWasBornYesterday today]]" in their stats sheets, but are fully developed children by the time they're introduced to Pico's class.

[[folder:The Penilians]]
!!The Penilians
[-'''Debut:''' ''Pico's School'' (1999)-]

A race of malevolent shapeshifting aliens and recurring antagonists of Pico, all manipulative, vindictive, and eager to conquer.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: They star in Tom Fulp's ''UFA: Unstoppable Flying A-Holes'', which takes place 100 years after the events ''Pico's School''.
* AliensAreBastards: Their motivations commonly boil down to {{sadist}}ic assholery. In ''UFA'', they've traded trying to TakeOverTheWorld in favor of humilating destruction.
* AlwaysChaoticEvil: They're always portrayed as sadistic assholes. The only positive depiction of one is in ''Love Conquers All'', where Cassandra is able to be befriended by Pico and talked down from her rampage.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: The standard method of defeating them makes for a great case on the importance of MonsterModesty; Casandra goes down from a sustained GroinAttack via AK-47, while Damien conversely succumbs to a BreastAttack.
* BizarreSexualDimorphism: If ''Pico's Cousin 2'' is to be believed, Penilians have inverted genitalia; Damien sports a set of boobs in Penilian form in contrast to Cassandra's infamous GagPenis.
* BlackComedyRape: Their method of "AnalProbing".
* DittoAliens: There's no major physical difference between Penillians, as they all share the same character model. ''UFA'' was even set in a time when they took on Cassandra's fashion sense.
* EldritchAbomination: While they aren't ''too'' eldritch, they definitely have rather monstrous attributes (see ObviouslyEvil below) that make them stand out among the other characters. The fact that they can also use HumanDisguise to their advantage shows that they're prepared to hide their true forms if they so choose to.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: They have some measure of fondness for the Magyar in ''UFA'' and Alien Hominids in ''Pico's Cousin 2'' and apparently keep them as pets.
* ExposedExtraterrestrials: Their most prominent feature. MonsterModesty and NonHumansLackAttributes are ''soundly'' {{averted|Trope}}.
* EyeBeams: They can fire whirling RazorWind bullets from their eyes. Pico has to GoForTheEye in order to interrupt them.
* FedToTheBeast: The 3rd level of ''UFA'' revolves around feeding Magyar, a giant monster that lives in the Grand Canyon. It's rather tricky, since getting the TractorBeam in its eyes will piss him off, as will accidentally incinerating the humans that serve as its prey.
* GreaterScopeVillain: They are the greater-scope villains of the general ''Pico'' universe, sending Cassandra to prepare the world for invasion and when that failed, sending the Ghettobots after Pico to get revenge.
* HumanDisguise: Cassandra displays this ability, and it's assumed that other Penilians can do so as well.
* ManipulativeBastard: They show no qualms against manipulation to achieve their ends.
* ObviouslyEvil: They're about 14 feet tall, with YellowEyesOfSneakiness, fanged jaws beneath enormous MonstrousMandibles, and CreepyLongArms. ''Love Conquers All'' is quite likely the only instance where they're depicted positively, due to being a LighterAndSofter AlternateUniverse.
* OneGenderRace: According to ''Love Conquers All'', since they're all hermaphrodites and therefore one sex, they're considered homosexual by default. This is why they have HumanityOnTrial for their rampant UsefulNotes/{{homophobia}}.
* ToServeMan: The Penilians feed humans to a beast called the Magyar in ''UFA'' and Damien intends to feed Otis to his pet Alien Hominids in ''Pico's Cousin 2''.
* VillainProtagonist: Of ''UFA'', which depicts them after conquering the Earth and submitting the human populace to cruel and humiliating acts.
* WeWait: Their response to seeing a rocketship leave the Earth in ''Samurai Asshole''. In ''UFA: Unstoppable Flying A-Holes'', they waited until Pico was dead to invade the Earth again.

[-'''Debut:''' ''Pico's School'' (1999)-]

The teacher of Pico's class after the Goth-Punks' rampage.
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: In ''Pico vs. Ɯberkids'', he merely agrees to Pico's suggestion of Rock Paper Scissors Roulette and leaves the kids to the rest without thinking much about it. ''Pico -- RPS Roulette'' instead has him kill Nene outright to make the game even.
* AdaptedOut: As Pico's original teacher survives the events of the game, Mr. Flacit makes no appearence in ''Love Conquers All''.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Yep, even he gets one in the form of ''[[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/Mr._Flacit%27s_Word_Search Mr. Flacit's Word Search]]''.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Depends. His appearance in ''Pico vs. Ɯberkids'' has him simply choose Pico, Nene, and Darnell to test against the titular antagonists because the school didn't ''have'' any exceptional students for them to learn from after the shooting incident, implicitly calling them mediocre.
* PunnyName: Go on, ''guess''.
* WouldHurtAChild: In the short ''Pico -- RPS Roulette'', he presides over the eponymous game and promises to cap anyone who chickens out of their round with the gun. When he accidentally demonstrates on one of the Ɯberkids before the game starts, he then does the same to Nene to keep it even, and nearly kills Pico and Darnell when Pico breaks the game's rules.

[-'''Debut:''' ''Pico's School'' (1999)-]

A trio of new students from the ghetto who presumably serve as Pico's next foes. Unfortunately, their characterization remains minimal (likely due to ''Pico 2'' falling into DevelopmentHell), but they were playable characters in ''Pico Roulette''. Jose carries twin glocks, Roc brandishes brass knuckles, and Leroy sports an afro.
----
* AdaptedOut: They make no appearance in ''Love Conquers All'', as all of the original students survive the events of that game.
%%* GangBangers: Natch.
* JackOfAllTrades: Leroy was intended to be one. In Newgrounds Supporters demo of ''Pico 2'', when the ghettobots are introduced to the class, player gets to see each ghetto's strength, endurance, agility and inteligence, much like with Ɯberkids in ''Pico vs. Ɯberkids''. While Roc and Jose go beyond the limit in one of the aformentioned stats (with the rest ranging from maxed out to subpar), Leroy does that with ''all four of them''.
* HereWeGoAgain: Their role in the original ''Pico's School'' and ''Pico's Unloaded''.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: They're alien ghetto robots that somehow look like older humans that came from the ghetto and got into the same school as Pico, Nene and Darnell.
* {{Profiling}}: The second Pico hears they're from the ghetto, he's alarmed. The second he sees them, ''he's got his gun ready''. This makes it massively funny in hindsight, as their only other appearance in Fulp's original flashes has them doing nothing at all in class while ''Pico'' challenges the new antagonists to a violent duel. Even funnier is immediately after that. In the old ''Pico 2'' demo, [[BlackAndNerdy Darnell]] explains to Pico that he and his other friends found them in a spaceship and their first instinct is to shoot it down from the sky, revealing the aliens to be human-looking and one of them immediately punches Darnell.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Leroy's name is either spelled with an "y" in the middle (''Pico Roulette'') or without it (Demo for ''Pico 2'' and [[https://web.archive.org/web/19991012182137/http://newgrounds.com:80/pico/kids/index.html and one of the old Pico webpages.]])

Pico's younger cousin from one of the earliest fan-made Pico flashes, who gets involved into his own shenanigans, [[ContrivedCoincidence (somewhat) directly related]] to Pico's misadventure in ''Pico's School''.
------
* AscendedFanon: At least technically. Being a fan-made character, he was never officially acknowledged by Tom Fulp himself. However, he made a cameo appearance in ''Pico vs. Convict'', a flash made by one of the Newgrounds Staff Members, as one of Convict's transformations.[[invoked]]
* BlueIsHeroic: Distinguishable from Pico by a blue sweater and cyan jeans.
* BookEnds: Otis went through the events of ''Pico's Cousin'' to try to pick up a copy of ''Alien Hominid'' ([[ShaggyDogStory unsuccessfully]]). ''Pico's Cousin 2'' has his grandma gift him a copy of the game after he saves his family from the Goth Punks.
* DeadpanSnarker: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', Otis is generally a wisecracker, annoyedly remarking on the idiocy of the various Goth-Punks helping Damien.
* DualWielding: Unlike Pico's first outing, Otis gets to dual wield from the start, getting two handguns he fished from the trash. Gibbons also gives Otis a set of AK-47s in exchange for candy.
* ExpressiveHealthBar: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', Otis' face will show more damage the lower his health is, progressing from no damage, to his face being cut, to having a black eye, nosebleed, and cut face.
* GenerationXerox: ''Pico's Cousin 2'' is almost a perfect recreation of the events of ''Pico's School'' except they take place in a retirement home rather than a school. Otis fights Cyclops' and Alucard's cousins in a similar fashion to Pico, fights the ''same'' Hanzo (rebuilt with alien technology) and Damien, a fellow Penilian, mows down his Goth Punk allies in the exact same way Cassandra did before fighting Otis in the same fashion. He can even find a "medicinal herb" to restore health just like Pico once did. The only difference is Otis receives a marginally better ending, managing to save his family from Damien.
* GovernmentConspiracy: [[spoiler:He accidentally uncovers one in the alternate ending of ''Pico's Cousin'' when two of the terrorists he gunned down turned out to be the very people flying him off in a FBI helicopter and were in league with the FBI agent questioning him- The FBI staged the entire event to awaken Otis' warrior genes and intended to recruit him into the military. Otis is understandably pissed by this.]]
* IHaveYourWife: The only reason Otis winds up going on his second adventure is because the Penilians kidnapped his father, grandmother, and eventually [[BadassInDistress Pico himself]].
* ImplausibleBoardingSkills: The credits of ''Pico's Cousin'' depict him doing various dangerous skateboarding tricks, up to and including jumping off of a several stories tall building and landing perfectly, or nailing a trick from a steep ramp.
* InstantExpert: Much like his cousin, Otis possesses instant proficiency with firearms. Lampshaded at the end of the first game.
-->'''Gangrene''': When I heard of the Pico's School incident I wanted to see... If Pico's cousin... you... was as strong as he was...\
'''Otis''': "Strong?" I've never shot a gun in my life!\
'''Gangrene''': Neither... did your cousin... You... Your genes, you have a warrior's genes. You can fight with precision and instinct by just picking up a gun. I see that I was no match for... a boy with no experience on the battlefield... Against me...
* ItRunsInTheFamily: Just like his red haired cousin, Otis is an excellent marksman and will instantly spring into action when in a life or death situation. Both of his games mention that his family has "Warriors' Genes", meaning ''all'' of them have the potential to become humongous badasses in battle if the need arises.
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: He's a huge fan of ''VideoGame/AlienHominid'', and when he finally gets to meet a Hominid in ''Pico's Cousin 2'', he's over the moon before it tries to kill him.
* PaletteSwap: Of (who else?) Pico. Lampshaded in the sequel, which has an option to recolor his hair and outfit to closer match his cousin's.
* RedOniBlueOni: Some fan interpretations depict him as calmer than his red-headed cousin, [[DownplayedTrope though not by much]].
* RevengeByProxy: Both of Otis' cardinal games have opponents crawling out of the woodwork to terrorize him and his family, all for the crime of being tangentially related to Pico. ''Pico's Cousin 2'' has his boss ensemble want revenge for what Pico did to their cousins, the original Goth-Punks, with the exception of Hanzo, who ''was'' part of the old Punks.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: [[spoiler:The alternative ending for the first ''Pico's Cousin'' reveals that the mall escapade was partially brought about to make sure Otis is ready for other, more dangerous threats in the future. Otis, understandably mad at being suddenly thrown into danger, tells them to screw off and blows up their helicopter, escaping in the process.]]
* ShortLivedAerialEscape: Played with in ''Pico's Cousin''. [[spoiler:After learning that the mall shooting was staged by the government to recruit child soldiers for military operations, Otis guns down the very helicopter that showed up to "rescue" him and escapes.]]
* ShutUpHannibal: In ''Pico's Cousin 2'', Otis has no interest in the multiple villains' [[MotiveRant motive rants]] and frequently tells them to shut up. The only exception is when he fights Hanzo, when he asks what he's planning but Hanzo doesn't care to explain.
* SkewedPriorities: In ''Pico's Cousin'', Otis can stop what he's doing during an active mall shooting and try on a bunch of clothes at Abercrombie or try to steal candy from a shopkeeper.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: In the first ''Pico's Cousin'', Otis, a young boy, is able to wield guns with as much proficiency as his older cousin.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: Heavily resembles his cousin Pico, right down to [[HereditaryHairstyle having the same hairstyle]].
* VagueAge: Much like the original trio, Otis' age is undefined, only being described as "younger than Pico". His hidden character bio in ''Pico's Cousin'' claims he is [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior eleven years old]].
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:He calls out the government agent that "rescued" him upon learning that the government staged the mall shooting in ''Pico's Cousin''.]]
* YourHeadAsplode: If Otis is killed by the Alien Hominid boss in ''Pico's Cousin 2'', there is a special death image with his head having been charred to a crisp by laser gun.

[[folder:Damien]]
[-'''Debut''': ''Pico's Cousin 2'' (2006), by Magna-]

The Penilian leader of the new Goth Punks in ''Pico's Cousin 2''. Unlike Cassandra, who takes over her school, Damien leads his group in an invasion of a retirement home.
----
* AlienInvasion: Just like Cassandra, his goal is to TakeOverTheWorld.
* BizarreSexualDimorphism: Damien, a male Penilian, [[BoobBasedGag has large breasts,]] whereas Cassandra, a female Penilian, has a GagPenis.
* BoobBasedGag: He has large, blatant breasts, the joke being that he's a ''male'' Penilian.
* BreastAttack: He's defeated by firing at his breasts.
* JerkAss: Even worse than his predecessor Cassandra; he has no motive at all besides wanting to TakeOverTheWorld.
* IHaveYourWife: He kidnapped Otis' father, grandma, and cousin (Pico) to lure Otis onto the retirement home roof.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He looks unlike any other Penilian, with large breasts and bat wings.
* ToServeMan: His plan once he takes over the Earth is to feed the humans to his pet Alien Hominids.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: While averted in ''Pico's Cousin 2'' (we never see his HumanDisguise), other works tend to give him a human form that looks exactly like Cassandra but blue.
* YouKilledMyFather: Subverted. While the rest of the Goth Punks are looking for revenge against Pico's family for their family members having been killed, Damien claims he hated Cassandra and she was a traitor.

!!Oliver/Elder Longwood "Piconjo" the 69th
[[quoteright:310:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/picochpiconjo.png]]
[[caption-width-right:310:'''Piconjo pwns J00''']]
Piconjo is an [[https://piconjo.newgrounds.com/ infamous Newgrounds user]], known for submitting ton of animations of varying quality and being quite critical of Newgrounds. His [[AuthorAvatar avatar character]], sharing the same name, is an extremely pale and tall EvilCounterpart of Pico.
------
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Has ash-gray skin. There are few flashes that depict him with a pale human skin, though that portrayal is uncommon.
* {{Animesque}}: A few of his flashes style his appearance after late-2000s {{shonen|Demographic}} series, such as ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'' or ''Manga/DeathNote''.
* AntiHero: According to Piconjo (the user), his character is supposed to be on a good side, as he is the self-proclaimed defender of the portal. However, some of the opponents he fought, his questionable opinion on Newgrounds and its users, and some the actions being very reminiscent of a {{troll}} (such as flooding the portal with submissions of varying quality) made him look more villainous in many people's eyes. It was to the point that ''Newgrounds Rumble'' portrayed him as a full-on villain, whose reign as King of the Portal destroyed Newgrounds instead.
* ArchEnemy: In his own shorts, he often antagonised the artist Creator/LegendaryFrog.
* ArtEvolution: While every character can have a minor design changes thanks to [[DependingOnTheArtist flashes being handled by different people]], Piconjo had the most drastic case of this. In original shorts, he is drawn as a simple stick figure with Pico's hair. In the Wadolf Saga, he is a WalkingShirtlessScene with a HeroicBuild. In ''VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble'', he got a new design by [=MindChamber=], which is how most people know him. Ironically, the user Piconjo has disowned [=MindChamber=]'s design in favor of his classic depictions, [[TrollingCreator though he also adds art of said depiction to his favorites list.]][[note]]Piconjo later explained this intense dislike was a form of {{Kayfabe}} and that ''any'' depiction of Piconjo embraced by his fans is a valid one.[[/note]]
* BackFromTheDead: Many a flash will depict Piconjo as dead, only to have him rise from the grave near the start of the animation.
* TheBadGuyWins: After playing his route in ''VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble'', Piconjo becomes "[[LeetSpeak teh k1ng of teh pr0tal]]" and Newgrounds descends into anarchy as a result.
* {{BFS}}: His weapon appears to be a knockoff of, DependingOnTheArtist, either [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife's Buster Sword]] or [[Manga/{{Berserk}} Guts's Dragon Slayer]].
* TheBusCameBack: After 15 years of absence, Piconjo (the user) returned to Newgrounds in mid-2021 to celebrate the site's renaissance, as well as establish a new site holiday: Piconjo Day, on [[LOL69 6/9]]. This in turn caused a surge in flashes and artwork featuring Piconjo.
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Piconjo pwns j00!", often said after defeating his opponent. Also has "OMG Ninjers!", when he encounters {{ninja}}s, which happens a lot in his flashes. Piconjo the creator signs off with "Piconjo luvs j00" since his return to the site.
* CreepyShadowedUndereyes: Many of his depictions, especially those based off of [=MindChamber=]'s design above, give him reddish shadowed undereyes.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: In ''Newgrounds Rumble'', [[spoiler: he's disgusted by Pico and Nene having lured [[VideoGame/FancyPantsAdventures Fancy Pants Man]] to Newgrounds just to kill him and joins up with him to take them both down so Fancy Pants can leave.]]
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: A common trait of Piconjo's rivals/enemies is that they are all [[GreenEyedMonster jealous of]] and attracted to him.
* EvilCounterpart: He's frequently described as "the VideoGame/{{Wario}} to Pico's Franchise/{{Mario}}".
* GagPenis: To an ''extreme'' degree. Whenever that big-ass sword of his isn't enough, Piconjo's bigger, ''meatier'' sword will burst forth and finish the job.
* GoKartingWithBowser: In ''Pico vs. Piconjo'', just as he and Pico prepare to fight each other, the movie suddenly cuts to the two making a truce over a pizza.
* HatedByAll: In Piconjo's own flashes, ''almost everyone'' acts extremely hostile towards him. This includes Ninjers [sic], Toadies and many animators who were popular on Newgrounds back in 2004, all of them usually end up being killed and humiliated by Piconjo. The trope applies to most of his appearances in non-Piconjo-made flashes as well, though with a much less impressive win streak.
* IntentionalEngrishForFunny: Speaks broken English in many of the original flashes. Unsurprising, given that his creator writes all of his posts on Newgrounds this way.
* KickTheDog: He quite literally kills a dog in ''Piconjo Jam 21'', only for him to then PetTheDog by reciting a respectful poem to it, as it fought him valiantly. Then it turns out the dog is NotQuiteDead, and is saved with medical intervention [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext in the form of a lime and coconut.]]
* LeanAndMean: Is taller and meaner than Pico.
* LeetSpeak: His name is meant to be a contraction of "Pico pwns J00". As a result, he's often associated with, if not outright speaking, the lingo. His creator, [[TheDanza also named Piconjo]], types his posts entirely in leet as well.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEa20VNMB5E Piconjo's Manor]]".
* LOL69: Piconjo Day takes place on June 9th, which can be read as 6/9. In addition, his full name is Oliver Longwood the 69th.
* MultipleChoicePast: Namely, regarding his exact relation to Pico. Some works depict him as a douchebag who [[IdenticalStranger happens to look similar to Pico]]. Others portray him as a manifestation of Newgrounds', and in turn Pico's, dark side. And still others will claim he's biologically related to Pico, be it his [[LongLostRelative long lost brother]] or even the alter-ego of Otis, his cousin.
* OnlyFriend: In ''Newgrounds Rumble'', he and [[spoiler: Fancy Pants are each other's only friends. Also serves as an OddFriendship, given Piconjo is aiming to cause anarchy in Newgrounds, while Fancy Pants just wants to make it out with his life.]]
* OrnamentalWeapon: His artwork for ''Newgrounds Rumble'' gives him a shotgun on his back along with a belt of ammunition, but it's never seen in-game. Fan flashes that use Mindchamber's design almost never have him use his gun either.
* PhallicWeapon: Parodied. Piconjo primarily fights with a large BFS that could be considered compensation for something... If it weren't actually ''less'' large and deadly than his GagPenis, which has dispatched many an opponent and has at one point ''[[RefugeInAudacity turned into a dragon]].''
* PurpleIsPowerful: [=MindChamber=]'s design gives him a primarily purple outfit, and he's strong enough to fight off hordes of Toadies and "[[GratuitousNinja ninjers]]".
* PyrrhicVictory: In art created by Piconjo, even if Piconjo (the character) is beaten, [[MortonsFork his enemies are likely to be forced to suck his]] GagPenis [[MortonsFork anyways]].
* RedEyesTakeWarning: If Piconjo isn't depicted with white eyes that have reddish shadows underneath, then he'll have red eyes instead.
* RefugeInAudacity: The character ''runs'' on this trope, from depicting his opponents as extreme losers or even [[GodwinsLaw Hitler figures]], to Piconjo having a self-aware GagPenis that kills people on its own, has transformed into a ''dragon'', and in one flash [[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/799072 even dwarfed the planet in size.]]
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Piconjo's original non-stick design drew him in a loincloth and little other clothing (though he would sometimes wear armor that was subject to ClothingDamage). Averted with his [=MindChamber=] design, which dresses him far more modestly.
* SwordAndFist: His fighting style in ''Newgrounds Rumble'' sees him uses hand-to-hand moves for his light attacks and sword swings for is heavy attacks, likely due to the sheer weight of it.
* VaginaDentata: A rare GenderInverted example with his aforementioned GagPenis, which once turned into a ''dragon'', complete with head and mouth.

----
* AmphibianAssault: His most common {{mooks}} are anthropomorphic toads called [[LiteralMetaphor the Toadies]].
* BigBad: Of the so-named "Wadolf Saga".
* FinalBoss: In ''[[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/484931 Portal Defenders]]'', a game in which Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin must protect the Portal from dangerous users. Doubles as a CainAndAbel situation.
* FlunkyBoss: In ''Portal Defenders'', Wadolf can summon zombies from ''WebAnimation/MadnessCombat'' for his special move.
* GodwinsLaw: It doesn't get much more blatant than this, folks.
* GratuitousNazis: He rules over New-- ... ''Nazigrounds'' with an iron fist.
* GratuitousNinja: '''OMG Ninjers!''' They must be Wadolf's {{elite mook}}s.
* {{Portmanteau}}: Of Wade Fulp and Adolf Hitler's names, appropriately.
* TakeThat: Wade Fulp was rather infamous for his "JudgeJuryAndExecutioner" approach to adminship, and as such it was a fairly common trend among disgruntled users to depict him as Newgrounds' resident BigBad at worst, and AntiHero at best. Given that the original Piconjo shorts were out to troll and demonize Newgrounds as a whole, Wade was clearly a perfect fit. This tendency was parodied in Luis CastaƱon's ''Portal Defenders'' by making Wadolf the FinalBoss.

------
* AmbiguouslyHuman: According to Convict's creator, Luis, Convict is a criminal who gained the ability to shapeshift after getting struck by lightning. However, given his [[RedEyesTakeWarning red eyes]], [[SkullForAHead the skull on his head]], and [[VoluntaryShapeshifting his shapeshifting abilities]], it isn't clear if he's human or something else altogether (at least, ''after'' gaining said shapeshifting abilities).
* TheBadGuyWins:
** In ''Pico vs. Convict'', he [[spoiler:successfully tricks Pico into shooting Nene, and is last seen threateningly transforming back into himself.]]
** In [[spoiler:Nene's]] route in ''Newgrounds Rumble'', [[spoiler:he takes on her form and impersonates her after she commits suicide out of despair after becoming the King of the Portal. His own ending in this game also counts, with him using his shapeshifting abilities to influence Newgrounds from the shadows.]]
* DesignPreservationVillain: His monsterous appearance and propensity for {{Human Disguise}}s puts him in line with Cassandra, especially in works that portray him as Pico's main foe after the fall of the Goth Punks. His ''Newgrounds Rumble'' redesign adds more parallels, as both have a prominent red and black color scheme.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: His (presumed) ShapeshifterDefaultForm was that of an AmbiguouslyBrown TattooedCrook. ''VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble'' reimagines his default appearance as a BadassInANiceSuit.
* ImmuneToBullets: Downplayed in ''[[https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/506724 Convict Vs Pico]]'' (not to be confused with ''Pico vs. Convict''), where his head is completely bulletproof. Pico then resorts to the GroinAttack, which ultimately gets him a kill.
* InvoluntaryShapeshifting: In ''Newgrounds Rumble'', he will swap at random to one of the other fighters, requiring a player maining him to be both familiar with his own moveset and the movesets of all the other characters in the game.
* MultiMeleeMaster: In ''Pico vs. Convict'', he uses a mace, bear claws, and knives all as effectively as one another. In ''Newgrounds Rumble'' he is also capable of using any character's weapons with just as much efficiency as they can.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Sports deep red eyes in his default form.
* {{Shapeshifter}}: In his debut flash, he transforms into Otis, Big Brown Bary and Nene. In ''Newgrounds Rumble'', his gimmick is being able to transform himself into any other playable character, although here it's the case of InvoluntaryShapeshifting.
* SerialKiller: Slaughters everyone in the school before the short even begins, with Pico and Nene being the {{sole survivor}}s.
* ShoutOut: His debut short uses music from ''Film/BeetleJuice''.
* SkullForAHead: His default face is a dark-gray skull with no apparent jawbone.
* SpotTheImposter: ''Pico vs. Convict'' culminates with Pico being forced to shoot one of two Nenes, one of which is Convict in disguise. [[spoiler:[[DownerEnding He chooses incorrectly]]]].
* TechnicallyNakedShapeshifter: At least in the original short, where he is either shirtless or completely naked. [[AdaptationalModesty Averted]] in ''Newgrounds Rumble'', where he wears a black suit and a red tie.

Pico's classmate and the antagonist of ''Pico's Surprise Party''. Jealous of his popularity, Giko ruins his bithday party and takes over his house.
----
* BirthdayBuddies: Shares the same birth date as Pico. Unfortunately, [[ForgottenBirthday no one else in his class was aware of this]], which lead to him being very unfriendly towards Pico and his classmates.
* DamageSpongeBoss: He takes a lot of bullets before going down.
* DisproportionateRetribution:
** Because his classmates threw a birthday party for Pico and completely forgot about him, he decides to ''kill everyone in his class'' (sans Pico, who was absent during his attack, and possibly Nene, who is implied to escape from the house before he was able to shoot her) and turns Pico's house into a hangout for other nerds and geeks like him.
** He claims to want to take over the world simply to become well-known.
* DrivenByEnvy: Pico's status as a BigManOnCampus, who gets a SurpriseParty, while he doesn't, serves as a reason for Giko's jealousy and rather questionable actions that followed.
* EvilCounterpart: His name is very similar to Pico's, he claims to have everything Pico has and even shares a birthday date. Unlike Pico however, he's a completely antisocial nerd, and his goals and actions are very reminiscent of Cassandra instead.
* EvilNerd: If his PunnyName wasn't an obvious giveaway, Pico describes him as "The king of all geeks". Although his personality and looks make him closer to a nerd.
* EyeScream: After defeating his OneWingedAngel form, Pico performs a FinishingMove with his [=MAC-10=]s, knocking his glasses off his face and striking a bullet in both of his eyeballs.
* GreenEyedMonster: He's motivated solely by jealousy of Pico.
* GroundPunch: His main way of attacking Pico during his boss battle is striking both of his fists into the ground.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Wants to be popular like Pico, but spends all day doing nothing but chemistry and doesn't seem to interact with his classmates a lot. [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech Pico makes sure to call him out on this behaviour]].
* InformedLoner: No one is actually shown to be mean to him or excluding on purpose. Nene gladly invites him to Pico's party when asked and Pico calls him out on choosing to be a loner and not making friends. This just makes his revenge even ''less'' justifiable.
* NerdGlasses: In true nerd fashion, he spots a pair.
* OneWingedAngel: He transforms into a hulking monstrosity to fight Pico at the end of the game.
* PsychoSerum: Upon drinking his chemical potion, he transforms into a hulked out version of himself which Pico must defeat.
* PunnyName: A wordplay on "geek" and Pico's name.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Spots them under the effect of PsychoSerum. This also allows him to use EyeBeams.
* ShockAndAwe: Can produce electricity during his boss battle from his [[PowerPalms palms]]. Shooting his hand will interrupt this attack.

!!The Kitty Krew
Similarly to Piconjo, they're a {{troll}}ing crew notorious for spamming the Flash Portal with crappy submissions and upvoting them past judgement. A number of flashes dramatize their effective role as Newgrounds' antagonists, such as ''House of 1,000 Cats'', where Pico and allies fight to put an end to their nefarious Portal spamming.
----
* AdiposeRex: Their leader, Big Fuzzy Kitten, is depicted as a figurative and literal FatCat. [[note]]In RealLife, Big Fuzzy Kitten was simply the Krew's {{mascot}}, frequently confused for their lead account. This confusion is partially to blame for the Krew's initial disbandment.[[/note]]
* CatsAreMean: They're an army of cats (or people in cat costumes) out to cause trouble for Newgrounds.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The short opens with Big Fuzzy Kitten, surrounded by his 14 [[https://newgrounds.fandom.com/wiki/Turd_of_the_Week Turd of the Week]] [[MedalOfDishonor Awards]]... [[{{Squick}} getting off to]] [[ShockSite 2girls1cup]].
* FreudianExcuse: Right at the battle's climax, Big Fuzzy Kitten has a {{flashback}} to the day he wandered onto someone's computer and first discovered UsefulNotes/AdobeFlash, only to get violently thrown out by the owner and told that "Flash isn't for cats".
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He's defeated when Pegasus the Penicorn directs his {{homing projectile}}s right back into his mech.
* HumongousMecha: Once Pico and friends decimate the Kitty Krew {{mooks}}, Big Fuzzy Kitten deploys a serpentine cat {{mecha}} from their headquarters to finish them personally.

* FeatheredFiend: They certainly aren't chicken in their endeavors ToServeMan.
* TheGoomba: The smallest {{mooks}} are basically a set of TombstoneTeeth with four tiny legs and a chicken comb.
* LudicrousGibs: All but the largest {{mooks}} burst into bloody chunks of meat when killed.
* MinecartMadness: The later levels of Roasties are navigated this way.
* RoarBeforeBeating: The [[ShotgunsAreJustBetter shotgun-wielding]] {{mooks}} let out a loud crow before firing.
* SmashMook: The largest {{mooks}}, which wield an enourmous meat hammer.
* ZeroEffortBoss: Once confronted, their boss goes down [[OneHitPointWonder in a single bullet]].

----
* DaChief: He's the highest authority Pico has ever answered to.
* {{Expy}}: He's based on Chief Todo from ''Anime/BubblegumCrisis''. The original ''Assassin'' website actually used low-quality screenshots of Todo to portray its Commissioner character. His appearance in ''Pico vs. Bear'' was traced from those screenshots, with his glasses removed and his police badge changed.
* PoliceAreUseless: All he does is brief Pico, ''a child'', on the dangerous criminals he must face.

----
* AdaptationalDyeJob: In his home game, his hair is black. But his redesign in ''VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble'' has his hair as blue instead.
* BigOlEyebrows: His AngryEyebrows are nocticably big and blue.
* GainaxEnding: His game ends when he's swept up in a strawberry rocketship, witnessed by two Penilians (who promptly decide that WeWait when discussing invasion plans), before landing in the domain of Franchise/TheSmurfs.
* HonorBeforeReason: His motivation for attacking the temple is either this or RevengeBeforeReason.
* HotBloodedSideburns: They help denote that he's not quite as noble as you'd expect.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: The typical weapon for a samurai such as him.
* MightyGlacier: His game is notorious for being slow and laggy, even given the time of its debut. His appearance in ''Newgrounds Rumble'' replicates this, making him slow-moving but hard-hitting.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: All of his major appearances amount to this. In ''Samurai Asshole'', the titular character storms into the temple in an attempt to avenge his master, killing several temple guards and even a ''god'' in the process. In ''VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble'', his story mode revolves around him looking to avenge his [[DoomedHometown destroyed village]], and he also attacks various other characters during their story modes.
* SamuraiPonytail: Sports a long, shaggy ponytail.
