[[caption-width-right:350: The Queen of Screams]]

* NinetiesAntiHero: While she wasn't created in the 90s, Vampirella's depiction during that decade was quite in line with how a lot of female characters in comics were portrayed. She had a skimpy outfit (which actually became skimpier than how it was originally drawn), mysterious past, often fighting with other heroic characters before teaming up, a snarky attitude and violent tendencies.
* ActionGirl: Vampirella possesses the typical vampire powers and is a deadly monster hunter.
* ArsenalAttire: One of her weapons in the 2010 run was a necklace in the shape of her signature costume's emblem. It contained silver alloy and was blessed by the Vatican. She used it to cut off the hand of Le Fanu, a French vampire who was in service to Dracula.
* BackFromTheDead: Completely absent in the Warren times (OK, she was wounded severely more than once). Often enough in the Harris run (up to the point that the last time the creators killed her, afterwards they didn't even bother to [[SarcasmMode properly]] [[HandWave revive her]]). Dynamite yet had no opinion on the matter.
* BadassLongcoat:
** In the 2010 run, Vampirella (initially) wears a black coat, red shirt and black pants. This is quickly dropped for her signature outfit after about 5 issues.
** The 2019 "Vengeance of Vampirella" miniseries also has her wearing a coat over her signature outfit.
* TheBeastmaster: After drinking [[spoiler:Drago's blood]] in the 2014 run, Vampirella gains the ability to control rats. She uses this power to kill some members of the Cult of Chaos.
* CainAndAbel: Vampirella is the Abel many, many times, since most of her siblings tend to be evil monsters birthed by Lilith, such as the twins Madek and Magdalene, her half-brother Drago and her full-blooded sister Draculina. The 2015 series by Dynamite invokes this by having Vee tracking and killing her monstrous half-brothers to drink their blood and gain their power to overcome an evil entity. Its also revealed [[spoiler:this is the result of a curse on her father - the biblical Cain - who would be forced to watch as his children would try to kill each other, with the dark-haired child being murdered by their blonde sibling. As Vampi is dark-haired, her sister Draculina (who is blonde) is consumed with desire to murder her.]]
* CategoryTraitor: Numerous vampires and other creatures of darkness view Vampirella with contempt worthy of a traitor for killing them in defense of humans.
* ChainmailBikini: If she's wearing combat armor, it's usually about as revealing as her iconic outfit.
* CharmPerson: Hypnosis is one of Vampirella's powers.
* CivvieSpandex: In the 90s ''Vengeance of Vampirella'' run, Vampirella often wore a jacket over her signature outfit. It didn't provide much modesty.
* CombatPragmatist: Vampirella has shown a willingness to fight dirty when needed. She once encountered a group of American Civil War era vampires who outmatched her in numbers and had almost two centuries worth of fighting experience. Fortunately, she had brought with her a priest who blessed the falling rain, transforming it into holy water. Since Vampirella lacks the weaknesses of regular vampires she wasn't affected, but the others were killed. She has also used more creative means to kill vampires such as carving crucifixes onto bullets.
* CoolBigSis:
** She served this role to Dixie Fattoni in ''The New Monthly. After her family was killed by vampires, Vee took her under her wing and made Dixie her protege.
** Vampirella gets another surrogate little sister in the form of Sofia Murray in the 2014 run.
* CreatureHunterOrganization: Was part of the Vatican's monster hunting organization Cetus Dei and after they turn on her, she joins with the Kabal which also hunts rogue monsters.
* DarkActionGirl: In the first half of the 2010 Dynamite series, she's basically depicted as a female ComicBook/{{Blade}}, i.e. constantly killing vampires and other evildoers but also quite brooding.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Vampi may give off the vibe of a sexy, evil creature, but she only saves her rage for the bad guys.
* DaywalkingVampire: Unlike most other vampires in the same setting, she isn't affected by sunlight at all and moves around in daytime with no issue whatsoever, even enjoying sunbathing on occasion.
* DependingOnTheArtist: Her physical appearance varies quite a bit between different artists, with more or less emphasis on the level of Vampirella's voluptuousness, muscularity, and maturity. More humorously, no two artists seem to agree what length her boots are.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Vampirella's personality tends to change between editions. The Warren comics depicted her as {{expy}} to Creator/ElviraMistressOfTheDark. Some have her as a brutal [[ComicBook/{{Blade}} Blade-like]] warrior obsessed with destroying all evil while her new Dynamite series has a personality more akin to a thirty-something [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Buffy]].
* TheDreaded: For monsters lower on the food chain at least.
* DudeMagnet: Vampirella has had no less than three boyfriends and it is not uncommon for male characters to comment on her looks.
* ExploitedImmunity: See CombatPragmatist above.
* ExposedToTheElements: Vampirella's iconic red LeotardOfPower leaves very little to the imagination. She has been seen wearing this outfit in either the rain or snow. Given she's a vampire, she [[JustifiedTrope has a much higher tolerance for the cold than humans]].
* FailureHero: In her original magazine, Vampirella rarely saved the day. Often she was incapacitated until the end of the issue, only being revived to kill the bad guy. Most of her stories either featured the problem resolving itself or a secondary character doing the majority of the work, and in some cases Vampirella was even the problem herself. This is not the case for the later series, where she takes a dominant role.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire: Vampirella is probably one of the earliest examples of a vampire protagonist, created well over twenty years before they became more common.
* HealingFactor: She can heal most wounds, the rate of recovery depending on how much blood she has consumed.
* HeroicSeductress: Vampirella has occasionally exploited her sex appeal against villains. One such example is the 2006 Halloween Special in which she takes advantage of her looks to lull a murderer into a false sense of security before killing as punishment for killing his wife. She even teasingly flaunts her body at him as she leaves him to die.
* HorrorHunger: She struggles with the need to take blood, which each dose of the substitute serum only holds off for 24 hours, and every story manages to contrive a way for her to not have enough serum, leaving her eternally fighting against her literally bloodthirsty desire.
* HunterOfHisOwnKind: Vee has taken down many fellow vampires in her quest to rid the world of evil.
* {{Ladyella}}: "Vampire + Ella".
* LadyInRed: Her red outfit is her trademark. Her seductive manner is also her trademark.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: How her team ups with other heroes often start. Special mention goes to Pantha when they met in the 90s, ComicBook/{{Catwoman}}, [[Series/DarkShadows Barnabas Collins]], the ComicBook/{{Witchblade}}, ComicBook/RedSonja, and ComicBook/LadyDeath (though calling her heroic might be a bit of a stretch).
* LivingAphrodisiac: In ''Vampirella Lives'', she acquires the "Aspect of Lilith" which allows her to control men by instilling fear and lust in them.
* LovelyAssistant: Occasionally served as one to Pendragon in his stage numbers.
* MadeOfIron: Averted. She can't take hits very well. She once got knocked out by Pendragon (who's a senior citizen in poor health) with a stick. That said she's very strong-willed and has a high pain threshold, so she's not a complete GlassCannon.
* MagicPants: Never discussed in Warren times (except by the fanboys). In Harris times, a story explained that her bikini IS magic. In contrast, also in Warren times, her later sidekick Pantha could [[NakedOnArrival NOT]] take her clothes with her.
* MeaningfulName (with shades of RaceNameBasis): Obvious. [[OurVampiresAreDifferent Nah, not really!]] Also used in-story: in the Warren classic "Death's Dark Angel", villain W. W. Wade composed a classical Xanatos selfmate when he supposed Vampirellas bite would make him immortal. [[OhCrap It didn't.]]
* MistakenForProstitute: In the first issue of ''Vampirella Lives''. Following her resurrection, Vampirella is being guided through the town of Whitechapel by a psychic named Sam J. Feaveryear when they are accosted by a group of ravenous vampires. They mistake her for a prostitute and Sam for her john due to her attire. Vampirella proceeds to slaughter them all.
* MostCommonSuperpower: Before it actually became the standard issue.
* MsFanservice: A sexy vampire with one of most famous {{Stripperific}} outfits in the comic world.
* MuggingTheMonster: See MistakenForProstitute above.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: During the Busiek run she develops the ability to take on a WingedHumanoid form with greater strength and WolverineClaws. She also gains a werewolf like form but this is only seen in one issue. After she was resurrected in ''Vampirella Lives'' she gained the "Aspect of Liltih" [[LivingAphrodisiac which allows her to instill fear and lust in males allowing her to control them]]. This is how she gets information from the corrupt cop Cutler and uses Hemorrhage to kill all the vampires of Whitechapel.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Usually she's depicted as being of vague age that's older than humanly possible.
* OhMyGods: Sometimes swears by "Satyr and Circe". These aren't deities in her universe but rather the names of Drakulon's two suns. She also sometimes declares "Dark Mother" likely a reference to her mother Lilith.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: The heroine is a vampire, since she is the daughter of Lilith and needs blood to survive and has many of the typical vampiric powers, including superhuman physical abilities, shapeshifting into a bat, immortality, and a mesmeric stare. She is not prone to the race's traditional weaknesses, such as daylight, holy water, garlic, or crosses.
* RedIsHeroic: Vampirella's signature costume is a red sling-bikini and even her alternate outfits tend to be red.
* RiseFromYourGrave: How she returned to earth in ''Vampirella Lives''.
* ProgressivelyPrettier: One of the most eye-rolling cases as they started with one of the most sensual characters in comics at the time (if not THE most) then slowly made her costume skimpier to the point her original designer called it "Dental Floss."
* SecretIdentity: Vampirella has tried to live as a human teacher named Ella Normandy. It didn't last very long, partly because she keeps using her powers when she knows people can record her, partly because one of her friends leaked the story to the press.
* StatuesqueStunner: Notable, particularly, in the Dynamite series where she's over six feet in height and muscled as well as curvaceous.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: She is almost always scantily clad in her signature red sling suit, complete with NavelDeepNeckline and ThongOfShielding, with a white collar and wearing shiny black knee-high boots. Notably, while provocative to begin with, it was actually possible as a swimsuit-like outfit, but Harris Comics made it more so. Averted with the 2016 reboot where she wears clothes which are almost (but not quite) practical.
* SuperStrength: Downplayed. Vampirella is stronger than most humans, but in the Warren comics a trio of normal thugs were easily able to hold her until another thug came and injected her with cocaine. In later comics from other companies, she gets treated as having some bona-fide superhuman strength but she's seldom able to fight monsters and demons with brute strength alone.
* VampiresAreRich: Vampirella in the Dynamite series acquires the riches of another much-richer immortal and eventually owns a massive mansion in Hollywood.
* VampiresAreSexGods: Her stare and even voice are hypnotic and seductive to humans, particularly males. She has been seen as having the ability to induce sexual arousal in men simply by being in their presence.
* WeakButSkilled: When she's not fighting mooks, she's this with the gods, demons and monster lords she's up against and so she makes use of her combat training and equipment supplied by whatever organization she's currently with. In the Nancy Collins reboot, her half-brother Drago explains that demons are much stronger than vampires. All of her vampire half-siblings were made when the Dark Mother Lilith mated with demons and so these first generation vampires were stronger than her, but had weaknesses to sunlight and holy objects that she lacked. Her quest is to move past this trope by draining the blood of rare vampires.
* WeirdnessCensor: Very few people seem to notice or remark on her omnipresent red outfit, and when they do it's quickly handwaved. Averted in the 2016 series, as it's that outfit that gets her internet attention.
* WingedHumanoid: She can sprout bat wings if she wants to fly. Sometimes they're depicted as coming straight out of her back; others have her arms morphing into wings instead, which is at least more anatomically plausible.
* WizardsFromOuterSpace: Before being eventually retconned, she was a alien from a vampire planet.
* WolverineClaws: She can grow long sharp claws from her finger nails.
* WorldsMostBeautifulWoman: In the ''Vampirella/Dawn'' crossover, she is stated to this in ''all of existence'' alongside [[HotGoddess Dawn]] by a demon who kidnaps them.
* WouldntHurtAChild: One of the lines she would never cross is hurting children or babies. Even when she's assured that a specific newborn child will probably grow up to be a truly evil person (think Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer), she refuses to harm it.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: In some versions, Vampirella starts off in her late teens not just physically but chronologically. She still looks like she's somewhere in her twenties or early thirties.
* YouWouldntLikeMeWhenImAngry: Despite being a FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire, Vampirella has an animalistic, bloodlusted side that she tries to keep under control. How successful she is [[DependingOnTheWriter depends on the writer]].

[[folder:Adam Van Helsing]]
[[quoteright:332:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/627112_adam13.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:332: More metal than most love-interests.]]
Adam van Helsing along with his father Conrad was a vampire hunter. On one of their hunts they happened upon Vampirella, who was not like other vampires. She did not fear crosses or sunlight. Adam fell in love from the first sight.
----

* ActionPolitician: He's a U.S. Senator as his day job.
* AmazonChaser: Adam Van Helsing loves Vampirella for all the ass she can kick.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Was once Governor of an American State. Seriously.
* BadassNormal: While being a regular human with no superpowers of his own he can still keep up with Vampirella. This gets a deconstruction in ''Vengeance of Vampirella''; While Adam is a skilled monster hunter, he is still a normal human with all the weaknesses this entails and there creatures that are just too powerful for him to deal with. When a team of demon hunters he assembled is slaughtered by demon horde called the Slash, Adam goes to a supernatural drug dealer named Mr Montie who supplies him with a drug called Hyde 25 that gives him super powers. Adam becomes an EmpoweredBadassNormal at [[DrunkOnTheDarkSide the cost of his conscience]] and takes to calling himself "Bad Jack".
* BattleCouple: With Vampirella for 122 issues.
* CameBackWrong: His resurrection gave him a bit of Chaos energy. Later resurrections didn't seem to effect him at all.
* DeathIsCheap: Adam has been back from the dead on numerous occasions. One infamous example had them just go down to hell to pick him up and not bother to explain his return further.
* DemonSlaying: Adam Van Helsing eventually becomes the primary enemy of hell after Vampirella due to his general badassery.
* GoingNative: As you can see from the artwork, Adam absorbs just a wee bit too much of Drakulon's values.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Has a case of this with Vampirella.
* LovedINotHonorMore: Whenever Adam and Vampirella aren't separated by him being dead, this tends to be their primary stumbling block. Adam is loyal to the cause just a ''bit'' more than he is Vampirella.
* LoveInterest: Is Vampirella's most consistent over the decades.
* KilledOffForReal: Before the original 38 issue Dynamite series, but eventually averted as comics are won't to do. His last death didn't even bother to have a proper resurrection. Vampirella just went to Chaos (Hell) and picked him up.
* OrderVersusChaos: Is firmly on the side of Order, even more so than Vampirella who is aware it's more ALighterShadeOfGray than genuinely good.
* PutOnABus: Is completely absent from the 2015 and 2016 comics so far.
* SecondLove: Tristan was Vampirella's first lover back on Drakulon. After Tristan got murdered by astronauts and Vampirella moving to Earth, Adam is her second squeeze.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Bad Jack always existed within Adam as a corrupt alter ego who committed minor indiscretions. Adam taking the drug Hyde 25 brought him to the surface in full.
* TookALevelInBadass: Adam Van Helsing eventually becomes "God's Sheriff" according to him and gains the ability to become Order's primary champion after Vampirella.
* VampireHunter: His primary occupation with his father before shifting to become a more all-purpose one with Vampirella.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Nobody knows what's happened to him so far.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pendragon]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/467107_penny.jpg]]
An alcoholic stage magician who is also Vampirella's most trustworthy ally/friend.
----

* ActionSurvivor: Pendragon is just a stage magician with no fighting ability, but he keeps managing to get by.
* TheAlcoholic: Pendragon cannot resist the lure of alcohol.
* CharacterDevelopment: Eventually overcomes his worst flaws and matures to the point he's the most responsible adult in Vampirella's universe.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: In "Into the Inferno" we learn that Pendragon agreed when his wife wanted a divorce because of this.
* TheLoad: Pretty much useless for the vast-vast majority of his run.
* MagiciansAreWizards: Becomes one of these eventually but still remains TheLoad.
* OrderVersusChaos: Eventually becomes one of the Champions of Order.
* TookALevelInBadass: To the point he's actually close to being Doctor Strange by the Dynamite series.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dixie Fattoni]]
The daughter of a crime boss who got involved in a territorial war with vampires. Their enemies turn Dixie's twin sister Pixie in a vampire and forces Dixie to kill her own father. Vampirella takes the young girl into her wing and joins the fight against the vampires who ruined her life.

* ActionSurvivor: Next to Vampi's ActionGirl before evolving into one herself.
* BadassNormal: While still a teenager without any special powers, she manages to kick ass after training with Vampi and later the Sisterhood.
* BreakTheCutie: She is chosen to die by her father, is forced to shoot him and watch helplessly as her twin sister is turned into a vampire. Then she gets repeteadly captured, mind-controlled and even [[{{Squick}} forced to kiss a vampirized Pixie]].
* DamselInDistress: Justified, a teenage girl is practically helpless against vampires. She grows [[BadassNormal out]] of it eventually.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler:She dies in Vampirella's arms after being fatally shot by Midwinter]].
* FutureBadass: Its revealed that she becomes [[spoiler:the Mother Superior of the Sisterhood in one BadFuture]].
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Her future self sacrifices her life to give Vampirella the blessing needed to kill Judas Iscariot and undoi the apocalyptic timeline she came from.]]
* InTheBack: [[spoiler:She is shot through the back by Dr. Midwinter while hugging Vampirella]].
* MafiaPrincess: Used to be a mafioso's daughter before it all went to hell.
* SelfMadeOrphan: She is mind-controlled into shooting her own father.
* TookALevelInBadass: After receiving combat training by Vampirella.
* TheUnfavorite: Played for drama. While Don Fattoni loved both of his daughters, its clear that he loved Pixie more than Dixie. When Von Kreist forces him to [[SadisticChoice choose which of his daughter should die]], Don Fattoni picks Dixie.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lorelei]]
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2589175_lorelei1.jpg]]
%%[[caption-width-right:235:some caption text]]
A vampire native from Drakulon, she becomes Vampi's ally after the latter is trapped in the planet.
----
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: On top of having milk-white skin and black hair, she also dresses like a {{Stripperiffic}} goth.
* FakeDefector: Once she returns to Earth with Vampirella, Lorelei promptly sides with [[TranshumanTreachery the Sisterhood who have been turned into vampires]], stating that [[IFightForTheStrongestSide she fights for the strongest side]]. However, his was a ruse in order to get the vampire sisters to lower their guards and she frees Vampirella when she is imprisoned by them.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire: Despite being hostile to Vampirella at first, she becomes this trope after warming up and becoming her friend.
* HeelFaceTurn: Lorelei starts out as an enemy to Vampirella, but after being saved from the Voidswarm she becomes one of her TrueCompanions.
* HumanAliens: Lorelei is another native from Drakulon and looks human outside for her red eyes and unnaturally pale skin.
* PointyEars: She has very sharp, bat-like ears unlike other vampires. This is due to the fact she was born a vampire in Drakulon rather than being turned.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: She is even ''paler'' than Vee and a gorgeous goth bombshell.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: A black jacket, a thong and long boots are the only thing she wears and somehow comes across as more modest than what Vampi wears on regular basis.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Initially, on the account that Lorelei's lover Moloch tried to kill Vampirella.
* WingedHumanoid: She is able to sprout bat-like wings from her back to fly.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sofia Murray]]
[[quoteright:316:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1873795_sofia.jpg]]
A character who replaced Adam Van Helsing as Vampirella's main sidekick and associate in the 2010 reboot.
----

* AbusiveParents: Sofia's mother remarried an abusive alcoholic.
* ActionSurvivor: Was just another club girl until she was saved by Vampirella. She proceeded to become a stalwart ally against the supernatural.
* DroppedABridgeOnHer: [[spoiler:Is possessed by the spirit of Von Kreist and ends up getting sacrificed by Dracula.]]
* GrandTheftMe: [[spoiler:Von Kreist takes her body thanks to the efforts of Schuld's sealing his soul in her.]]
* TheHeart: Helps Vampirella get over her anger over Adam's death.
* HeroicWillpower: [[spoiler:Manages to resist Von Kreist better than any normal woman could. Subverted in that she is still dominated by him for a long time.]]
* MeaningfulName: While not apparently related to Mina Harker, she took inspiration from the coincidence.
* PerkyGoth: Is one of these crossed with a Perky Punk.
* TheRenfield: Serves as this along with being TheHeart.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tristan]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4831420_tristan.jpg]]
Tristan was Vampirella's first lover on the planet Drakulon. He becomes Vampirella's live-in lover in the 2016 series.
----

* TheAtoner: Is one of these for his actions in the past.
* BattleCouple: Very reluctant on the battle part, not so much on the couple.
* HappilyMarried: Is all but this to Vampirella in the 2016 series.
* HumanAliens: Is another alien from the planet Drakulon. Except a werewolf.
* InterspeciesRomance: Vampirella and Tristan are a alien vampire and werewolf respectively.
* LoveInterest: Becomes this for Vampirella after Adam's death.
* NonActionGuy: Tristan generally avoids fighting when he can. Though this was temporarily averted in the 2015 Nancy Collins run where his origins was a World War 2 veteran, turned muscle for the Kabal but he reverts back to the chill guy in the 2016 follow-up series.
* PutOnABus: Was mostly there to develop Vampirella's life on Drakulon.
** TheBusCameBack: Is a character who appeared for seven issues in the original magazine. Now he's the main love interest decades later.
* ReluctantMonster: More so than Vampirella herself. Tristan doesn't want to be a werewolf and just chills for the most part with her in her mansion.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: Is an alien like Vampirella.
* WolfMan: What he turns into when he assumes his superhuman form.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Coleridge]]
Vampirella's butler and stalwart guardian in the 2016 reboot.
----

* BattleButler: A normal human being but loyal to a fault.
* BadassNormal: Is perfectly willing to go vampire hunting with Vampirella against the forces of evil.
* CursedWithAwesome: Is one of the handful of humans who are cursed with immortality by ThePowersThatBe. He doesn't mind the not dying part and one subset power he has is that he can sense the location of others with his curse, this is useful in the 2015 series.
* HealingFactor: Averted, people with his kind of immortality don't have it and require medical treatment if they get badly hurt.
* HeelFaceTurn: Former servant to Lord Drago. He now serves Vampirella faithfully.
* MadeOfIron: He's a big, solid man who can take a beating from a monster, though it helps that he's immortal.
* TheRenfield: One of his duties along with being a ServileSnarker.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lilith]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lilith_6.jpg]]
Adam's first wife (the Biblical one, not the Adam listed above) and Vampirella's mother.
----
* TheAtoner: She gave birth to Vampi and trained her a demon hunter to hunt down all the evil Lilith spawned in the past. [[spoiler:Subverted.]]
* BigGood: Lilith served this role, as she revealed the truth to her daughter. [[spoiler:Except she never truly repented]].
* EvilMatriarch: Before her HeelFaceTurn, she boasted that she would give birth to superior creatures, greater than any children of Adam, and was cursed to only create monsters and demons. [[spoiler:Despite the belief she is atoning, she is still a EvilMatriarch, only this time using one child to hunt down the other ones and use their souls as sacrifice so she could become all-powerful]].
* HotAsHell: Vampirella clearly inherited her stunning looks from her demon mom.
* LukeIAmYourFather: When first introduced, Lilith is referred merely as "The Conjuress" and its not until several issues that is revealed her true identity and that she is Vampirella's mother.
* ManipulativeBitch: Initially, it seems she is TheAtoner, but it turns out [[spoiler:she was merely using Ella to harvest the dark energy spread by every demon she killed just so she could gather enough power to unseat Satan as ruler of Hell and challenge God for the control of all creation]].
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: While humanoid in appearance, she gave birth to countless monsters and demons. This is the result of a curse that God placed on her after boasting that she would create more superior beings than humans. Vampirella is actually the youngest of her children.
* MysticalWhiteHair: She's drawn with bright white hair in ''Seduction of the Innocent'', despite being an immortal and very ancient demon.
* MsFanservice: Like mother, like daughter: Lilith is no more modest than Vampi and wears golden bikinis most of the time.
* ReallyGetsAround: She got laid with several different males, both human and demons, just to give birth to a legion of monsters.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: To Vampirella, as Dracula mistakes one for the other while delirious in the Warren comics.
* SupernaturallyYoungParent: Because she doesn't age, she looks just as old as most of her children.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Drago]]
[[quoteright:349:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lord_drago.JPG]]
King of the Nosferatu, Lilith's son and Vampirella's half-brother. While an evil vampire himself, he becomes an unlikely ally to Vampirella during "Our Lady of Shadows" story arc, assisting her in getting rid of the Umbra's curse in the 2014 Dynamite publication.
----
* AffablyEvil: Drago is rather personable and courteous for a spooky-looking vampire.
* BenevolentBoss: He used to be one to Colleridge before his death, and is this to his entire bloodline.
* BrotherSisterIncest: He has slept with Vampirella numerous times by impersonating Adam.
* CainAndAbel: He slew his own vampire brother out of envy for being more handsome and his mother's favorite, while Drago himself was monstrous and inhuman. Zig-Zagged with Vampirella herself; while he in normal circumstances he would have been an enemy, he decides to help her in stopping Chaos from coming to Earth. Then he sets up a fight to the death between him and her so she could be strong enough to overcome her enemies and she comes out victorious.
* EnemyMine: While a villain, Drago assists Vampirella because Chaos is a threat to them both.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: When Vampirella kills him, just so she could gain the necessary strength to overcome Umbra.
* LooksLikeOrlok: He got look down to the the pale skin, bald hair, red eyes and rat-like teeth.
* LoveRedeems: He was far worse centuries ago, but then he saw a beautiful upper-class girl regularly show kindness to the poor. He fell in love with her and after a RescueRomance, eventually married her. When she died in childbirth, Drago thought he would resent his son. But when he saw the baby for first time, instead he felt all the love he had for his wife extend to his son.
* PragmaticVillainy: The reason why he assists Vampirella against Chaos is because he doesn't want to share the world with other demons if Hell was ever to be released on Earth. He prefers things the way they are because on this world, his kind are the apex predators and partly because he grew fond of it.
** Its also revealed that as a member of the Kabal, he worked to protect supernatural creatures from further persecution from humans.
* StealthMentor: His role in the arc he appeared. He sends Vampirella to kill other vampires born from Lilith to gain the necessary strength to overcome Umbra's curse, but its revealed that the final enemy she had to fight was him, as gaining his strength was needed to actually defeat the curse.
* ThanatosGambit: [[spoiler:He plots his own death at Vampirella's hands, so she could drink his blood and become powerful enough to beat Umbra]].

A friend of Vampirella's, she is initially believed to be alien shapeshifter from Drakulon who had the power to transform into a black panther. She is revealed to have been an ancient Egyptian cursed by the gods with immortality because of a spree she went on long ago.
----
* NinetiesAntiHero: Between the skimpy outfit, aggressive personality and WolverineClaws, her depiction in the 90s easily qualifies for this trope.
* ActionGirl: Definitely gives Vampirella a run for her money in the asskicking department.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: DependingOnTheArtist. She is an Ancient Egyptian but her exact race isn't quite nailed down. Her depiction in the ''Series/DarkShadows'' crossover gives her more of an African look and even there how dark her skin was varied from issue to issue. Sometimes she will have significantly dark skin, other times her skin color will be little to no different from the other white characters in the series.
* AnimalThemedSuperbeing: Type 1. She can turn into a black panther and has great strength, speed, agility and claws in human form.
* {{Animorphism}}: Her main power is that she can turn into a panther.
* ArchEnemy: In Midwinter and the snake goddess Mamba. She's been battling both for a long time.
* TheAtoner: She sometimes tried to atone for the atrocities she committed as Sehkmet, other times she just forgets about it as result of memory loss.
* AxeCrazy: At her worst.
* CatGirl: Can transform herself into a full-black panther or a cat-human hybrid.
* DeadpanSnarker:
-->'''Quenty:''' I am assuming you mean Elizabeth Bathory? She was a countess in the 16th century who, allegedly, killed and bathed in the blood of hundreds of virgins.\
'''Pantha:''' And now she is in New York? Looking for virgins? No wonder she is pissed.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Like with Vampirella, Pantha's personality is rather inconsistent from writer to writer. She has been portrayed as playful, friendly, flirtatious and vicious.
* ExposedToTheElements: In Issue #36 of the Jerwa run, Pantha is in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Adam notices her obvious discomfort and offers her coat but she shiveringly responds that she will "adjust".
* GodGuise: She used to be worshiped as Sehkmet. Whether or not she's an actual goddess depends on the story.
* GuileHero: Pantha deliberately gets captured by Midwinter with a fake Scarab of Atum Ra. The real Scarab was left in Dixie's apartment while the fake one turns out to be a bomb.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Pantha has had her own adventures independent of Vampirella. She has clashed with the Nazi MadScientist Dr Midwinter and the snake goddess Mamba in the past and once took on a pack of Nazi werewolves.
* HeroicSeductress:
** A Mark Millar-penned story in 1997 has Pantha hunting down and killing evil scientists who kidnapped and experimented on her by taking advantage of their perverse sexual desires.
** She posed an as erotic dancer to get the Scarab of Atum-Ra from Midwinter.
* MsFanservice: Her outfit is just as revealing as Vampi's, only with thigh-high boots and opera gloves, and every time she transforms back to human she is always NakedOnArrival.
* MultipleChoicePast: Originally, Pantha was an alien from the planet Drakulon just like Vampirella. When Drakulon was retconned into being a part of hell, Pantha was given two new origins; depending on the story, she was either a panther that had been experimented on by scientists and given the power to take human form or she was an Ancient Egyptian priestess who was cursed with immortality for going on a killing spree.
* OffingTheOffspring: Her greatest mistake was eating her own child when she couldn't yet control her transformation into a rabid panther.
* PantheraAwesome: She can transform into a black panther.
* SemiDivine: She's been described as a goddess or demigoddess a few times.
* WhoWantsToLiveForever: Her immortality was devised as a divine curse, and at times she frequently lost her memory too.
* WolverineClaws: She can transform her nails into long sharp claws.
* WolverineWannabe: Pantha was reimagined as this in the 90s. Now she [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld was a priestess from Ancient Egypt]] who was trying to [[TheAtoner atone]] for a brutal massacre she'd committed which claimed the life of her son among others. She had long sharp claws, was an AnimalThemedSuperbeing with the ability to shapeshift into a black panther and had a feral and aggressive personality.
* YouCanLeaveYourHatOn: She is sometimes depicted working as an exotic dancer.

* AntagonisticOffspring: Zigzagged. He goes back and forth between initially holding his father Adam captive, reuniting with his extended family, trying to kill his mother Vampirella, reuniting with them again...
* DemonLordsAndArchdevils: He's the prince of a minor corner of Hell.
* SupernaturallyYoungParent: Inverted. Because of time travel he looks the same age as Vampirella and Adam.

[[folder:Dervish]]
A member of the Danse Macabre organization. He possesses SuperSpeed, which combined with his fighting skills make him a formidable combatant.
----

* BadassLongcoat: Being a character who debuted in the 1990s, Dervish unsurprisingly had one of these.
* CharacterDeath: He is the first character to be killed off in the climactic battle of the original ''Vengeance of Vampirella'' series.
* CoolShades: Dervish had these when he debuted during the 90s. Not
* NervousTics: Dervish is prone to speaking at a superfast pace when anxious or stressed out.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:''ComicBook/VengeanceOfVampirella2019'' has Dervish survive both the purge of the Danse Macabre and Nyx's conquest of the planet. 300The King of Hell and one of the most powerful foes which Vampirella has ever faced. He is usually behind whatever force Vampirella is facing.
----

* TheAntiGod: Is every bit as powerful as his Lord of Order counterpart, which is to say not omnipotent or omniscient.
* {{Archenemy}}: The other major candidate for Vampirella's.
* ArtifactOfDoom: The Black Crown, which symbolizes his power.
* BigBad: For the entirety of the Vampirella universe.
* BigRedDevil: He manages to make this look work.
* TheCorrupter: Many otherwise good individuals have fallen under Chaos' sway.
* DealWithTheDevil: Most evil supernaturals make pacts with him in order to gain their powers.
* EldritchAbomination: In some portrayals when he's not a more explicit stand-in for Satan.
* FireAndBrimstoneHell: Is ruler over one of these but this is mostly just the part immediately closest to him.
* GodOfEvil: Serves as this for Vampirella's universe, [[ItMakesSenseInContext albeit not all universes.]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: He's behind the majority of villains and evil supernatural forces which Vampirella faces.
* TheLegionsOfHell: Commands these in the various continuities.
* OrderVersusChaos: Serves as the head of one side. We'll let you guess which.
* RedBaron: The Mad God.
* SatanicArchetype: He's effectively this for the reality, ruling over Hell and all of its creatures.

[[caption-width-right:350:The King of the Damned]]
A high-ranking member of the Drakulon race who was executed by a disintegration ray, accidentally teleporting him to the realm of Chaos. Spending many centuries there, he was warped by its energies and transported himself to Earth where he became the first of the vampires.
----

* {{Archenemy}}: Is a strong candidate for this to Vampirella.
* TheAtoner: Attempted at one point to redeem himself for his actions in the [[Literature/{{Dracula}} Bram Stoker novel]] by travelling back in time and refraining from murdering Lucy Westenra. He failed ''horribly'' when he ended up killing both Lucy ''and Mina''.
* BackFromTheDead: Has returned from death on numerous occasions. Which, honestly, is his thing in any media.
* BigBad: Often plays that role to Vampirella. He is constantly plotting to take over the world and is routinely defeated by Vampirella.
** He also serves as this in [[Film/{{Vampirella}} the movie]], where he killed Vampirella's father and is responsible for Earth's vampire plague.
* BloodKnight: Rejoices in doing battle with his enemies, human or otherwise.
** One flashback that the reason he was banished from Drakulon was because he enjoyed drinking blood directly from people and he always had the urge to kill.
* DaywalkingVampire: Becomes one of these in the 2011 series after making a pact with the Old Gods.
* {{Dracula}}: Obviously.
* TheDragon: Dracula often plays this role to either Chaos and other EldritchAbomination types.
* EvilOverlord: Dracula aspires to be one of this over the human and demon worlds.
* EvilSorcerer: Very accomplished in the magical arts.
* FateWorseThanDeath: His banishment from reality in the 2011 comic resulted in him being sent back to Earth's past where he had to wait to get revenge on Vampirella for almost two thousand years.
* HumanAliens: A member of the Drakulon race mutated by the energies of Chaos.
* TheHeavy: The most active villain to his masters.
* MagicKnight: Is both a sorcerer as well as a warrior.
* MonsterProgenitor: Is the creator of the vampire race on Earth.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Is both a supernatural monster and an alien.
* RedBaron: Dracula the Undying. He even attempts to use this to HandWave how he came back from the dead after the entire universe was almost destroyed.
* ThanatosGambit: Became suicidal after his banishment and arranged for Vampirella to lose everything before being locked in a pit with them as the universe was destroyed. [[spoiler:Lilith sends Vampirella away at the last second.]]
* TheStarscream: As a mutant Drakulon, Dracula is a fairly small fish in the world but is prone to working for much more powerful gods who he routinely betrays.

Originally a Prussian officer in UsefulNotes/WorldWarOne who made a DealWithTheDevil in exchange for immortality, Gustav von Kreist is a sadistic misogynist bent on destroying people's lives for his own personal gains.
----
* AgeWithoutYouth: The Devil gave him immortality, alright. But that didn't prevent his body from decaying with age.
* AristocratsAreEvil: He was a Prussian baron and an officer in the Imperial Army before he made his deal with the devil.
* BadBoss: Not a team player. He often threatens his assortment of minions with death or dismemberment.
* BlessedWithSuck: Being an immortal has left him jaded and unable to feel pleasure as a human anymore.
* BlofeldPloy: He forced Don Fattoni to chose which of his daughters would die, and killed the one he chose to spare just so the other would know her father would leave her to die.
* BodyHorror: Thankfully, his decayed body is obscured by his bandage wraps.
* CardCarryingVillain: He fully embraces being a monster, admitting point blank that he's evil and "rotten to the core".
* DealWithTheDevil: Von Kreist had beaten the Devil in a cards game in exchange for his heart's greatest wish. [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor He had no idea what would be in store for him]].
* DidYouJustScamCthulhu: [[spoiler: Von Kreist didn't give all of his soul to the demon and actually left a piece of it in a deck of cards]].
* DragonInChief: He acts as an enforcer to the vampire clans, but comes across as more dangerous and vicious than any of their elders, not to mention [[ItsPersonalWithTheDragon the beef between him and Vampirella is more personal]] than with his bosses.
* FacialHorror: His face looks like a rotting corpse. Which is essentially what he is.
* ForTheEvulz: He gets off on several depraved acts because he can't feel pleasure anymore.
* GenderBender: [[spoiler:He possesses Sofia's body when he's resurrected by his descendant. As he notes to Vampirella, it's not his [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil "usual"]] way of entering a woman.]]
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: He's something of an oddity in Vampirella's RoguesGallery in that he's not obviously supernatural. Well, aside from his immortality, which [[BlessedWithSuck just makes him look like a corpse]]. However, he's perhaps the vilest villain Vampirella has faced.
* {{Jerkass}}: [[SarcasmMode Surprise, surprise]], the undead sociopath is not a NiceGuy.
* JokerImmunity: This guy keeps coming back to life after he has been killed over and over. Justified since he is effectively immortal.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: On top of being a sadist, Von Kreist often makes several misogynistic remarks referring to women as "whores".
* PsychoForHire: It seems he'll work for just about any bad guy willing to retain his services.
* TheSociopath: A vicious one. No sense of empathy, chillingly intelligent and emotionally dead inside.
* SoulJar: [[spoiler: Von Kreist lost most of his soul to a demon in a card game but left a piece of it in a deck of cards. He had his descendant Schuld transfer that piece into Sofia]].
* VillainousCrush: He acknowledges his attraction to Vampirella, whom he also considers a WorthyOpponent. Since he's aware that such a scenario would never happen and that Vampirella despises him, he resorts to making her suffer.
* TheVonTropeFamily: Justified, since he is from Prussian origin.
* WouldHitAGirl: He shoots Dixie's sister and has his minions turn her into a vampire.
* WouldHurtAChild: Von Kreist pushes a little girl off a bridge for shits and giggles.

The Queen of Hearts is a demonic entity that possesses and moves from person to person through a playing card. She serves under the god, Chaos,
and wishes to be his queen.
----
* BeatStillMyHeart: She collected the hearts of her victims to offer them as sacrifice to her deity.
* BiblicalBadGuy: She is identified as "The Whore of Babylon" from the Book of Revelations. And her real name is Jezebel.
* BlindSeer: Following her blinding, she was still able to see through magic visions.
* DarkActionGirl: One of Vampi's most deadly foes.
* DepravedBisexual: She desired to become the Mad-God's queen at his side (by sacrificing people in his honor) and relished in turning Vampirella into her slave and plaything.
* DemonicPossession: Any woman who touches the Queen of Hearts card is infused with her spirit.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: She used to enticed both men and women alike with her beauty.
* EvilRedhead: Sometimes, she manifests herself as a red-headed woman (though she has been a blonde a few times).
* EyeScream: Her eyes were ripped out by the demon she summoned after his own were destroyed by Adam.
* FanDisservice: The Queen is a very beautiful and shapely woman who gets viciously blinded by a demon in her first appearence.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: While she is not royalty, technically speaking, her goal is to become a queen of her own right by marrying Chaos.
* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: The incident above involving EyeScream was largely brought by her own hand. The second Queen of Hearts tried to sacrifice Vampirella to Chaos, but instead she broke free and threw her into the Mad-God's domain.
* MsFanservice: Perhaps even bigger than Vampi herself, since her outfit is arguably more revealing and in the original comics, the Queen was outright ''topless''.
* NearVillainVictory: In the Warren comics episode "Eye for an Eye", she's pretty much won as she's blinded and broken Vampirella, while Pendragon gets his heart carved out. Only the intervention of a hapless pair of thieves with Pendragon's spell book and some alien doctors out of nowhere, was the team able to come out with the victory. Since then, no other Warren-era villain had come so close to winning it all.
* PlayingCardMotifs: Obviously, the Queen of Hearts, but [[BeatStillMyHeart with a very grisly twist]].
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Just look at her. And she didn't even bother covering her chest in her introduction.
* TheVamp: No pun intended, but she used to lure her victims with her beauty just to sacrifice them to her deity.
* YouKilledMyFather: After the Queen's apparent demise, another woman claiming to be her sister took up her identity and vowed revenge against Vampirella. It turns out the second Queen was just another possessed by her spirit.

Vampirella's evil blonde twin.
----
* AllegedLookalikes: Vampirella and Draculina are supposed to be twins but not only are their faces very different, they don't even have the same hair color. Which makes it rather ridiculous when characters in the "Feary Tales" arc keep saying they are very similar all the while addressing the differences in the color of their hair and clothing. This is more a case of DependingOnTheArtist, since a lot of them do give her and Vampirella identical appearances, minus the hair color.
* CainAndAbel: The most recoccuring of Vampirella's evil siblings.
* EvilBrunetteTwin: Inverted. Vampi, the heroic sister, has black hair while Draculina, the evil one, has blonde hair.
* EvilWearsBlack: Draculina wears a black version of Vampirella's outfit.
* SealedEvilInACan: In the miniseries ''Feary Tales'', [[spoiler: Draculina's backstory is that she was imprisoned in a book of fairy tales by Lilith for trying to kill Vampirella in a sparring match.]]
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Just like her sister and mother.
* TheUnfavorite: The "Feary Tales" miniseries reimagines her as this to Lilith or so Draculina claims anyway.
* VillainProtagonist: In her own ''Draculina'' miniseries, since she's a vampire who doesn't hold herself to the same standards as Vampirella.

* ConquerorFromTheFuture: After saving humanity in the future, he started to think he was a god. He then attempted using time travel to conquer the past.
* GrandfatherParadox: [[DefiedTrope Defied]] when he asks his great-grandfather if his grandfather is well so he won't wipe out his own existence before killing his ancestor.

[[folder:Mistress Nyx]]

A half-demonic daughter of the Mad God Chaos, she was groomed to spread strife and violence upon the world. She vowed to destroy Vampirella in retaliation for all the vampires and demons she murdered.
----
* CardCarryingVillain: Justified, since her father is a GodOfEvil and she is devoted into spreading chaos and despair as much as she can.
* EvilCounterpart: To Vampirella. Both are creatures born of high-ranking supernatural beings but while Vampirella seeks to protect humans, Nyx wants to corrupt and destroy them.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Her mother was a priestess of Chaos who submitted herself to her god to give him a child.
* HellOnEarth: Her end goal like so many followers of Chaos.
* HeroKiller: Nyx actually managed to kill Vampirella using a trident, and that was shortly after she killed Adam by accident.
* LadyAndKnight: An evil variant with Nyx as the Dark Lady and Hemorrhage as her Black Knight.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Her outfit is adorned with small spikes.
* UnholyMatrimony: With her lackey Hemorrhage.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Hemorrhage]]

Originally an agent of the [[CreatureHunterOrganization Danse Macabre]], Hemorrhage possesses the ability to control and manipulate blood and has an appetite for murder and combat. This lead to him taking out a hit on Vampirella which he failed. He ultimately ended up working for Nyx.
----
* AssassinOutclassin: He was hired to kill Vampirella and fails due to a combination Adam coming to her rescue and Vampirella being just that tough.
* AxCrazy: He was already a sadist before he got his powers. Gaining them just made killing more fun for him.
* BloodKnight: [[{{Pun}} Easy jokes about his powers aside]], Hemorrhage relishes his battles with Vampirella. The main reason he takes the job of carrying out the hit placed on her is because "business has been so dull of late".
* BloodyMurder: He can control any blood even if it's inside its proper owner. These powers grow even stronger after he becomes Nyx's enforcer.
* DeathByIrony: How he meets his end in ''Vampirella Lives''. Channeling the aspect of her mother Lilith called [[LivingAphrodisiac The Seductress]], Vampirella hypnotizes him into using his powers to draw out every last drop of blood from every vampire in Whitechapel, killing them all. This puts a massive strain on Hemorrhage and he is severely weakened enough for Vampirella to kill him but not before she makes him open a portal to Nyx's base and send his corpse through with the words "I Live" written in blood on his chest.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Hemorrhage likes to put up a superficially charming facade that doesn't do much to disguise his sadism.
* FoeRomanticSubtext: With Vampirella as explored in ''Vampirella vs Hemorrhage''. The first issue has Vampirella waking up from a dream she has of him with Adam feeling jealous. Meanwhile, Hemorrhage often talks about how beautiful she is.
* HeroKiller: He murders Dervish, a [[{{Retirony}} former]] agent of the Danse Macabre.
* LadyAndKnight: An evil variant with Nyx as the Dark Lady and Hemorrhage as her Black Knight.
* MadArtist: He looks at killing as an art and is very creative with how he uses his powers.
* MindOverMatter: Dialogue in ''Vampirella Lives'' suggests he can control other things but prefers to use blood.
* NoNameGiven: Hemorrhage's real name is never revealed and he only answers to his code name.
* PsychoForHire: His side gig as a hitman was just a means to act out his murderous tendencies.
* SlasherSmile: Hemorrhage is often sporting one when he feels things are going his way.
* ShapingYourAttacks: Hemorrhage is very good at molding blood into shapes. His first battle with Vampirella has him using blood from an unfortunate dog to make a large, horned creature of blood.
* SmugSnake: Usually arrogant and sadistic when things are going his way.
* UnholyMatrimony: With his mistress Nyx.

* BoxedCrook: Mamba is captured by the Scarlet Legion and forced to help Vampirella form her monster sanctuary.
* GreenAndMean: She has green skin and is evil.
* MonsterModesty: Mamba normally doesn't wear clothes. She has no visible vagina and has breasts with no visible nipples.
* NonMammalMammaries: She is reptile humanoid with visible breasts. Justified in that she's more of a god with snake features than an actual snake.
* PestController: She can summon and control snakes.
* PhysicalGod
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: Mamba is an evil snake goddess.
* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves: [[spoiler: Mamba helps the Dragon's Templar ambush Vampirella's new sanctuary for monsters even though Vampirella offered her a pardon. The Dragon's Templar try to kill Mamba anyway and she decides to get payback]].
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: She tries to escape after Papa Voudou is defeated but is captured by the Scarlet Legion.
* SnakePeople:
* SnakesAreSexy: She is a snake woman with a very attractive figure.
* SnakesAreSinister: Mamba is an evil snake goddess.
* VillainDecay: Mamba is indisputably a dangerous main antagonist in her earlier appearances in the Harris years. In the Dynamite era, she's reduced to being a lackey for other villains.
* VillainOfAnotherStory: Mamba is more of an enemy to Pantha rather than to Vampirella.

* ArcVillain: Of the "Prelude To Shadows".
* BurnTheWitch: How she was killed after being falsely accused of witchcraft.
* DealWithTheDevil: While imprisoned for witchcraft, Satan approached Metifa and offered her a chance at revenge in exchange for serving as his bride for 500 years.
* SoBeautifulItsACurse: Metifa claims she was falsely accused of witchcraft because the women of the village were jealous of the attention their husbands paid to her. They started rumors that she held Satanic orgies, which resulted in her being imprisoned and tortured. Vampirella is skeptical of this story given Metifa's murders.
* VillainHasAPoint: Metifa tells Vampirella that the Vatican will turn on her the first chance they get in spite of all Vampirella has done for them. Metifa is proven right when the Vatican sends assassins to kill her for her being possessed by Umbra.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: If her story is to be believed, Metifa was a kind-hearted midwife who attended mass every Sunday like any good Christian and was falsely accused of witchcraft by village women who were jealous of their husbands' lust for her.
