!Allies
!!Ariel

Ryoga's girlfriend, who he met after Yuma told him to get a grip on himself. Part of a dueling gang. Her dad was also the one who created the card "Ritua/Gishiki Erial/Ariel", which was based off her.

* CuddleBug: Shark refers to it as her "Octopus Grip".
* MakingASplash: She uses a Gishiki/Ritua deck, which consists of WATER monsters.
* OfficialCouple: With Ryoga Kamishiro/Shark, and they have a kid together in future fics -- Tryga Kamishiro.
* PsychicPowers: Starting in Numbershot C32, she can seemingly cause monster cards to become real a la [[Characters/YuGiOh5DsTeam5Ds Aki Izayoi]], with Rio pointing this out in a Deckshibition chapter. This mysterious power of hers has saved her friends more than once: [[spoiler:the first time was when Shark was possessed by Vector, using a corrupted Number C32: Shark Drake Veiss. Ariel begged for Shark to return, which in turn caused Shark Drake to become more aware of himself. As such, instead of Shark Drake obeying the Vector-possessed Shark, it lashed out against him, freeing his master from the Barian's control. The second time was during Double Numbershot 70 & 92, where in a moment of desperation after being beaten by Mitsume, Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth somehow manifests into reality, which stopped Mitsume from taking the two Numbers she was after]].
* RedBaron: Her title among the Terminal Gang is the Raging Gishki Torrent.
* RescueRomance: She met Shark when he saved her from being hit by a truck.
* WriteWhoYouKnow: An in-universe example, where she was the inspiration behind the monster card that her father would design.

!!Jenaveve

Kaito's girlfriend. She possesses a strange power that can comfort people's souls, which allows Kaito's Photon Hand to take Numbers without people's souls.

* BadBadActing: In Deckshibition Chapter 16, she and Rio try to see if they can induce a TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening with Ariel, by having Jenaveve pretend she's being corrupted by her Number card. Rio can clearly see that she's phoning it in, but it's enough to convince Ariel during their "friendly" duel. Despite her self-admitted terrible performance, they were successful in causing Ariel to be stressed but unsuccessful in having Ariel's powers to emerge like before.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: She used to play with Kaito and Haruto when they were little.
* GoodHurtsEvil: In Numbershot S43, it appears that Jenaveve's powers are a direct counter to Vector, which forces the Barian to try and eliminate her.
* LightIsGood: Uses the LIGHT Attribute Sacred/Stellar archetype, and is on the side of the good guys.
* PowerGlows: Her hands glow pink when she activates her powers.

* MediumAwareness: He is very aware of the fact he is in a Fanfiction.
* ShipTease: With Akari.
* SuperSpeed: Number 48 grants him these powers.

!!Yamoto/Moyen Kamazuki

Originally, Moyen was someone that the Number Distributor tried to corrupt into a Number Hunter. However, since Moyen’s desire was to find his parents, the Number instead guided him to become a noble Number Hunter to save the corrupted Number Holders. To hide his identity, he took on the name Yamoto.

During his first appearances in the Numbershots, Yuma initially saw Yamoto as an enemy due to his actions. However, once Yamoto learned of Yuma’s true intentions, he became a friend.

He uses a deck based on rapid summoning Dark type monsters to bring out his monsters. His number and signature card, Dark Matter Dragon, grants him the ability to manifest a blade of Dark Matter to extract Numbers.

* DarkIsNotEvil: He uses the DARK Attribute Verz/Evilswarm archetype, but is a Number Hunter who allies with Yuma and his crew, looking to stop the Numbers Distributor.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Inverted. He actually defeats Yuma in a duel, but when he learns of Yuma's true intentions, he lets him keeps his Numbers.
* EmbarrassingFirstName: He only lets his parents call him by his real name.
* FamilyThemeNaming: His real name, Moyen, is French for "middle", like how his parents' names, Gauche and Droite, are French for "Left" and "Right" respectively. His last name, "Kazamuki" means "the direction of the wind", serving as a reference to his and his parents' direction-based names.
* FanCreatedOffspring: Droite and Gauche's son, as they both got an AgeLift in this continuity to be in their mid-30s.

* MyNaymeIs: His name is spelled and pronounced as "Yah-moh-toh" instead of the more common, "Yamato".
* PowerDyesYourHair: His hair is naturally black, but is dyed purple whenever he duels.
* ShipTease: With Sachi.

* AmnesiacLover: Not her, but Astral. His memories of her relationship were erased when they reached Earth.

!Villains
!! Yugra

A former member of a gang that the Terminal Gang were rivals with, who was beaten by Ariel sometime before the events of the Numbershots. He makes his debut in Deckshibition Chapter 2.

* TheBusCameBack: Initially only showed up in Deckshibition Chapter 2, which took place before the events of the Numbershots, and was his only appearance for a while. It took until Double Numbershot 70 & 92: Terminal Clash for him to re-appear, disrupting the duel between the Terminal Gang and his former Gang to cause chaos and throw a Number-shaped wrench into their tag duel.
* FreezeRay: Has a firearm that can shoot out beams of ice, which he demonstrates on Ariel to freeze her in place.
* AnIcePerson: His deck consists of WATER Attribute monsters that are themed around hail, snow and ice.

!! Karaan

The villain of Deckshibition Chapter 4, who uses a Gagaga deck, much like Yuma himself. He's a callous duelist, treating his cards like tools in comparison to Yuma, and has a major disdain of the Gagaga Girl card. He makes his debut in Deckshibition Chapter 4.

* InternalHomage: Kaaran is one to Pandora of the Ghouls/Rare Hunters from the original ''Anime/YuGiOh'''s Battle City arc.
** Like Pandora, he is a specialist in an archetype used by the main character (Kaaran and Yuma use Gagaga monsters, while Pandora and Yugi have decks that support the Dark Magician), their SignatureMon is an EvilCounterpart of the main character's ace card (Gagaga Magician for Kaaran and Yuma, Dark Magician for Pandora and Yugi), and Kaaran's name is a SignificantAnagram of [[DubNameChange Pandora's name in the English dub]], Arkana.
** Kaaran's defeat in his Deckshibition chapter debut sees Yuma's Gagaga Girl (the apprentice of Gagaga Magician, and was dismissed by Kaaran) being powered up by [[HoistByHisOwnPetard the Gagaga monsters that Kaaran sacrificed without care to his graveyard]] alongside Yuma's. This is exactly how Pandora lost his duel against Yugi, where Yugi's Dark Magician Girl (a card the former didn't even know about despite it being the apprentice of the Dark Magician) got a boost in power due to the Dark Magicians that were in both players' graveyards (that Pandora also sacrificed without remorse).
* MirrorBoss: To Yuma, where both have Gagaga Magician as one of their ace cards. He however uses three copies of the spellcaster as opposed to just one.

!! The Number Distributor

The BigBad of the entire Numbershots fanfic continuity, and is the one responsible for giving out the Numbers and setting the events of each fanfic into motion. While it was believed to be just one man behind it all, it's later revealed that Vector of the Barian World is involved in his sinister plot.

* ArchEnemy: With everyone, but more specifically with Yuma, Shark, and Kaito, where he manages to make it personal with those three.
* BigBad: Of the entire Numbershots continuity.
* BigBadDuumvirate: With Vector, where he was responsible for even bringing the Number Distributor to life. The two are joined at the hip quite often, but Vector can act autonomously, where they can engage in a tag team duel against Haruto and Jenaveve.
* DiscardAndDraw: He never uses the same deck twice, switching it out for a different archetype whenever he duels. He has used no less than three different ones throughout the continuity. They all however either have the same consistent "Chaos" theme or are utilized to quickly summon Photon Number Destroyer.
* EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor: He is the second variant of this trope, where he takes sadistic glee in tormenting the heroes and torturing others, finding it hilarious. When paired with Vector, they both revel in being unrepentantly evil, [[spoiler:treating the reveal that the Number Distributor is Yuma's father, Kazuma Tsukumo, whose body has been revived with an evil soul from the Barian World as a "funny story"]].
* HeroKiller: Twice. [[spoiler:He once killed Yuma during Numbershot C13, where [[HeroicSacrifice he took an attack that was meant for Kotori]], though Kotori managed to awaken her own ZEXAL transformation and revived him. The Number Distributor successfully kills Dr. Faker however, who had pulled a HeelFaceTurn in Numbershot 99]].
* KnightOfCerebus: Whenever he shows up or duels against the main cast, things become much more serious.
* ManOfKryptonite: Not him, but his ace card, Photon Numbers Destroyer, is specifically designed to [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin destroy Number cards]], with its "official" card game variant also being a hard counter to Xyz monsters that can negate their effects.
* TheReveal: Numbershot 99 gives some revelations that flips what the cast knew about the character on its head.
** The true identity of the Number Distributor is [[spoiler:[[LukeIAmYourFather Yuma's father]], Kazuma Tsukumo, whose body was sent to the Barian World, but his soul was sent to the Astral World. Vector then imbued Kazuma's body with a different soul, which gave him a new appearance]].
** The power source of his SignatureMon is [[spoiler:actually Kazuma's wife, Mirai Tsukumo]], which is unveiled after also debuting the first Rank-Up-Magic card in this continuity; Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Heart.
* SignatureMon: Photon Numbers Destroyer/Photon Numeral Destroyer. [[spoiler:It also has an evolved form known as Photon Future Destroyer, used in conjunction with Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Heart]].
* YinYangBomb: Some of his decks utilize this, where they consist of LIGHT and DARK Attribute monsters. During a tag duel where he partners with Vector, he has a Photon deck that uses all LIGHT monsters, with Vector utilizing the DARK attribute Umbral monsters.

!!Zaman/Zeke Driscoll
The villain of the crossover story, ''Yu-Gi-Oh! 4D Love Surpassing Time''.
