[[caption-width-right:300:''[[CatchPhrase The time for mercy... has passed.]]'']]

A professional [[GameMaster Dungeon Master]] and Twitch streamer, he is the host of a variety of campaigns with equally varied groups. He is the creator of the Verum universe, in which all of these campaigns take place.
----
* BossBattle: He has stated that he considers his ability to craft these to be his specialty in being a GameMaster.
* {{Catchphrase}}: Has a number of phrases that he commonly uses:
** "Greetings/Hail, travellers." [[note]]Whenever greeting players.[[/note]]
** "The time for mercy has passed." [[note]]As battle commences during the Kalkatesh Arc.[[/note]]
** "A [X] wind begins to blow." [[note]]Begins using this in the Glies Arc, usually a "Harrowing Wind" for when battle commences, but there are variants for other types of important events.[[/note]]
** "Everyone gets to play." [[note]]His firm belief towards D&D.[[/note]]
** "Unfortunate/Tragic." [[note]]When a player makes a bad roll, especially when it's an important one or during a string of bad rolls.[[/note]]
** [[GoodNewsBadNews "I have good news, and I have potentially upsetting news."]] [[note]]Whenever delivering… Well, good news and potentially upsetting news.[[/note]]
** “One moment, please.” [[note]]While getting ready to set up a scene. New players tend to discern quickly that this usually means something very good, or something ''very'' bad.[[/note]]
** “Oh my goodness.” [[note]]Typically whenever someone says something odd or surprising.[[/note]]
* ConsummateProfessional: Arcadum [[InUniverse styles himself]] as such, claiming that as the Dungeon Master, it is his job to ensure that the players have the best experience possible, often rolling with whatever weird stuff they do. His players think differently, as he apparently relies a lot on subtle {{Railroading}} and powergaming to tell the story he wanted.
* CrazyPrepared: Arcadum [[InUniverse portrays himself]] this way, claiming that he is fully prepared for any scenario. In reality, he improvises as much as your average DM, especially in oddball instances where someone does something wildly unexpected.
* DoWrongRight: Arcadum will allow for whatever his players want to do if it's at all possible, even if he's not always thrilled about it, but he will always be certain to handle it within the rules of the game. Standout examples include when [[WebVideo/SteelAndSilence "Death and Debts"]] finish a battle and ask to loot the nipples of their defeated opponents, leading Arcadum to (begrudgingly) roll to determine several attributes for each one; another is in [[WebVideo/OtikatasCurse "Otikata's Curse"]] when the subject of Tomoe's... "magic staff" came up, and Arcadum called for a roll to determine his size.
-->'''Arcadum''': If we're going to do this, we're going to do it ''right''.
* EmbarrassingNickname: The players of "Death and Debts"/"Steel and Silence" have taken to referring to Arcadum as [[TeamDad "Dungeon Daddy"]], which they mean as an AffectionateNickname, but he tends to see more as this. He at a couple of points tried referring to himself as "Dungeon Father", but it didn't do much to dissuade the group. He has something of a crisis when his second VirtualYoutuber group, which would come to run [[WebVideo/OtikatasCurse Otikata's Curse]], made clear that they were aware of the nickname as well; however, they ultimately decided to use their own, "Mr. Dad", which Arcadum seems fine with.
* InTheHood: Is typically depicted as wearing a full-body cloak, complete with hood.
* ManOfAThousandVoices: In order to play a variety of different [=NPCs=] with distinct voices. He will sometimes use a voice changer, typically for female or especially otherworldy-sounding voices, but this isn't something he resorts to often.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Downplayed. Although he won't outright join the crazier antics of his groups, there are a lot of times where he ends up finding them amusing, and even allow himself a laugh at them.
* OnlySaneMan: When [=DMing=] particularly out-there groups, he does his best to reign in their excesses, to varying degrees of success.
* StraightMan: He pretty much plays this to more out-there groups, until they start to get a little too off-track.
* {{Workaholic}}: Is the GameMaster for over half a dozen D&D groups at pretty much any given time, does general streaming of his own, and that doesn't even include the preparation work he does off-stream. When he announced that he would be taking a break of a few weeks following the conclusion of the storyline of Kalkatesh's forces fending off The Violet, it was universally agreed on that he more than deserved it.

!Deities
[[folder:Black Pantheon]]
!!Babylon
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/babylon.jpg]]

* ArousedByTheirVoice: It's very common for him to provoke this in players. [[spoiler: Revlis and Kiliwen]] in particular abandoned their previous patrons to follow him specifically because of it.
* BadassInANiceSuit: Is typically depicted wearing one, and as a PhysicalGod, badass kinda comes with the territory.
* DealWithTheDevil: He ''is'' Satan, so this naturally tends to come up when other characters meet with him. Presumably due to the prevalence of this trope, he is also the God of Oaths.
* HotGod: Tends to be seen as one.
* {{Irony}}: Due to all Paladins taking an oath as part of that role, they all draw a small part of their power from what is effectively Satan, as he is also the God of Oaths.
* LawfulEvil: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Black Pantheon.
* MindOverMatter: He occasionally uses this power to keep other characters in line while they're in his presence.
* RedBaron: "The Man in Black", "The First Devil", and "The Dark Prince".
* {{Satan}}: He is effectively Verum's version of this.

!!Crowley
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crowley.png]]

* BloodKnight: Always seeking new challenges and created the Depthar specifically as a challenge that could never bore him.
* TheCorruption: The source of the Deptharian corruption on Glies.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: Began life as an Eldar and ascended to godhood at the end of Phase 1.
* GodOfEvil: His presence is very rarely a good thing.
* LawfulEvil: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Black Pantheon.
* OutsideContextProblem: Is slowly becoming one to Glies. This partially due to him being a Kalkatesh-based Deity, but especially so because it has nothing to do with the arc's story; rather, through sheer coincidence, players from three different parties chose to make characters that are in service to him, and have performed a number of actions in their campaigns that have given him a growing foothold in Glies.
* RedBaron: "The Endless Battle", "The Wounded", "The Deathless", and "Lord of Undeath".
* WarGod: It's one of his domains.

!!Lorita
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lorita.jpg]]

* DeityOfHumanOrigin: As mentioned below, was previously an orphaned child before ascending to godhood.
* EvilOrphan: Effectively has this as her aesthetic, having ascended to godhood through her sheer rage at the wizard that killed her parents and imprisoned her.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Her first act as a deity was to let out a scream of fury that destroyed the laboratory where she was being kept.
* NeutralEvil: Her official in-universe alignment as part of the Black Pantheon.
* PlayingWithFire: She is stated to reside within the plane of fire, and she placed a fire enchantment on Umi Tormenta's naginata when the Triton earned her favor in "Death and Debts" by helping a child's soul pass on.
* RedBaron: "Wrath Daughter", "Firebrand", "Orphan", and "Voice of Ruin".
* WarGod: War is one of her domains.

!!Oloken'hai
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oloken27hai.jpg]]

* ChaoticEvil: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Black Pantheon.
* EldritchAbomination: A mass of tentacles that inflicts madness upon many.
* PragmaticVillainy: In "Scrolls of Not'Chek", when Schmeg [[spoiler: pleads with him to [[HeroicSacrifice exchange his own life for those of his fallen comrades]], Oloken'hai scoffs at the compassion on display, but ultimately humors his follower. He bolsters Schmeg with his power and tasks him with proving his worth by overcoming Not'Chek in a clash; when the Sprite comes out victorious, Oloken'hai keeps his word and heals all of Schmeg's unconscious allies just enough to rouse them, while also allowing Schmeg himself to live]].
* RedBaron: "The Forbidden Thought", "The Old One", "The Dark Truth", and "The Great Eye".
* TheseAreThingsManWasNotMeantToKnow: His bread and butter. He's not called "The Forbidden Thought" for nothing.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: He grants his followers great knowledge alongside powerful madness.

!!Wode
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wode.jpg]]

* BigBrotherInstinct: While as gods, it's not clear which, if either of them, is the "big" one, Wode displays this when he discovers that someone committed blasphemy against his brother Oun, and promptly tasks [[WebVideo/SteelAndSilence Terryn Zabi]] with finding and killing whoever was responsible.
* MissionFromGod: Decontructs this a bit in "Endgame", when he points out that the need to repeatedly make mortals do the dirty work of the gods in the first place is a clear sign that the gods themselves have failed in their duties.
* NeutralEvil: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Black Pantheon.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When Terryn fears that he might be angry at her over her dealings with Babylon, he points out that such a deal is not the same thing as actually abandoning her service to him, and opts not to directly punish her.
* RedBaron: "The Lord of Nightmares", "The Suffering Sage", "Father Fear", and "The Dark Truth".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Blue Pantheon]]
!!Astaroth
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/astaroth.png]]

* BoisterousBruiser: He goes through his appearance in "The End Game" flexing, delivering bellowing laughs, and generally being glorious to be around.
* EthnicGod: He is the god of Dwarves, though most Dwarves have left behind his open worship in favor of other deities.
* HasAType: Would much prefer a goddess "with a big arse". To his frustration, there's a bit of a dearth of those.
* LargeHam: Oh, very much so.
* LawfulNeutral: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Blue Pantheon.
* MightMakesRight: Strongly believes that the weak should die in favor of the strong.
* PetTheDog: He, with some help, released the Minotaurs from their captivity to Tyre.
* RedBaron: "The Earth Lord", "The Iron Fist", "The Atlas", and "The Dark Sun"
* WarGod: War is one of his domains.

!!Cassius
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cassius_26.png]]

* ChainedByFashion: He is depicted wielding the chains that had previously bound him as weapons.
* ChaoticGood: His official in-universe alignment as part of the Blue Pantheon.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: He was once a human before ascending to godhood upon leading a rebellion that freed humanity from their dragon masters.
* EthnicGod: He is the god of Humanity.
* LaResistance: He was the leader of one for all of humanity while he was mortal. As the god of freedom and courage, it could be presumed that he supports these in general.
* PetTheDog: Despite being a deity for humanity specifically, he also personally assisted in freeing the Minotaurs from Tyre.
* RedBaron: "The Unchained".

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Green Pantheon]]
!! Lorn
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lorn.jpg]]

* ArchEnemy: With Crowley, as undeath is anethema to the cycle of death and renewal that he represents.
* TheFettered: He is stated to only use his power when the balance of nature might be threatened.
* GodOfTheDead: He is the god of decay, vermin, and renewal, which would seem to make him the god of the physical process of death.
* TheLeader: He is stated to be the leader of the other deities of nature.
* RedBaron: "The Duke of Decay".
* TrueNeutral: His official in-universe alignment is given only as "Neutral".

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Grey Pantheon]]
!!Iass
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/iass.jpg]]

* KnightInShiningArmor: She is depicted as one.
* LawfulNeutral: Her official in-universe alignment as part of the Grey Pantheon.
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: She believes that mortal-kind can only hope to grow through strife and struggle.
* RedBaron: "Lady of Triumph", "Mother Necessity", "The Spear of Equality", and "The Neverend".
* TheStoic: She is described as a patient, wise, and stoic deity.

!!Kaheeli
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kaheeli.jpg]]

[[folder:Red Pantheon]]

[[folder:White Pantheon]]
!! The Seven
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_seven_1_7.jpg]]

* ArchEnemy: With the Violet.
* ArcNumber: As one might've guessed from the name, they are tied to why 7 is such a major one in Verum.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: Even moreso than most others, as the Seven are collectively the player characters of a previous campaign of Arcadum's, "7 Years 7 Days", which he ran for 77 different parties of 7 players each.
* HopeBringer: They are especially hailed as being one of the greatest sources of hope, and hope is one of the things that they represent as a deity.
* UnconventionalAlignment: Given that they are collectively a multitude of player characters, their official alignment is only given as "All".
* WorshippedForGreatDeeds: They are stated to not quite be gods in the usual sense, but are still at least as respected as the other deities given that the enemy they faced was a threat to all of creation.

!!Vavren
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vavren.png]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Warlock Patrons]]
!! The Gambler Black
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thegamblerblackrevised.jpg]]

* DarkIsNotEvil: He'd like to claim so. He does seem quite proud of the role Zacharius, one of his followers, played in stopping the Herald and saving the world.
* TheGambler: It's in the name. He follows the theme, too; when Mungus tries casting Magic Missile at him, he simply transforms the attack into poker chips.
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: A good half of his face is taken up by a massive, toothy grin.
* RadioVoice: Not him, but the familiars that he provides to those who follow him tend to talk with this effect.

!! The Grey One
* AtopAMountainOfCorpses: When [[spoiler: Tomoe meets with him in a JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind, he is on one of these, all of the corpses being copies of Tomoe himself]].
* OutsideContextProblem: Actively invoked this by seeking out a new vessel in Glies, deciding that the people there wouldn't as ready for him as those in his old stomping grounds of Kalkatesh have become.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: To an extent, currently acts as one [[spoiler: [[WebVideo/OtikatasCurse for Tomoe]] ...or, he was]].

!! Regalia
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/regalia.jpg]]

* ForGreatJustice: Dude is ''all'' about this. Brewbad gets sick of it pretty quick, though.
* LargeHam: Is ''definitely'' one of these.
* RedBaron: The Herald (no, not ''[[BigBad that]]'' Herald).
* StarPower: Is a patron for celestial warlocks.
* WingedHumanoid: He has the appearance of a five-winged angel.

!! Zvaigždė
* LastOfHisKind: She is thought to be the last of the lunar dragons. At least, no one has seen any other than her.
* {{Lunacy}}: To an extent. She is a possible patron for lunar warlocks, but seems to represent night more than the moon specifically.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: It's a dragon of stars traversing space.
* RedBaron: The Starglider.
* ShroudedInMyth: Not a lot is known about her. Even [[WebVideo/OtikatasCurse Lucine]], who follows her, has only caught glimpses of her from afar.
* StarPower: She represents the stars and is a patron for celestial warlocks.
