A clandestine organization of swordsmen founded around 2,000 years ago for the purpose of protecting the Book of Ancients, as well as maintaining the peace between Wonder World and Earth.

[[folder:In General]]
* AncientTradition: They've been safeguarding the pages of the Almighty Book since the dawn of the millennia.
* BadassCrew: When your order is made up of experienced and highly trained swordsmen, you're bound to be this.
* BadassLongcoat: All the Riders except Blades, Buster, Slash and Kenzan wear trenchcoats in their civilian guise.
* BreakingTheFellowship: The swordsmen of the Northern Base are in a state of utter fracture due to the unraveling schemes of Isaac indirectly causing the defection of their veteran members.
* CallingYourAttacks: The various Riders of the Order participate in this, some doing it in a GratuitousForeignLanguage.
** Japanese: Saber, Buster, Kenzan, and Sabela.
** [[GratuitousEnglish English]]: Blades and Slash
** [[GratuitousSpanish Spanish]]: Espada
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: The main Wonder Ride Books assigned under each various Rider's element have a themed color scheme to them.
** Saber: Red
** Blades: Blue
** Espada: Gold and Yellow
** Buster: Grey and Teal
** Kenzan: Green
** Slash: Pink and Light Purple
** Calibur: Dark Purple
** Falchion: Orange
** Saikou: Silver, Aquamarine, and Gold
** Sabela: Crimson and Gold
** Durendal: Dark Blue
** Solomon: Gold, Silver, Red and Black
* CoolSword: The series makes mention of eleven elemental swords each tied to a Rider since its early leaks, and this is accurate thus far with said swords being split among ''Seiken'' or Sacred Swords, a lone ''Jaken'' or Evil Sword, and a lone ''Haken'' or Supreme sword. Who created them is unknown, but we do know that Saikou and Kurayami are the oldest, with Rekka being third in line; as such, these three possess abilities that the others lack. Chapters 25 and 29 introduce the Seikens of Smoke and Time.
* TheConspiracy: Definitely at the center of one. The original Calibur betrayed the organization 15 years prior to the series for unknown reasons. His return has the Swords of Logos on full damage control.
** Chapter 15 reveals Calibur's motives and intention: [[spoiler:to root out the "true enemy hiding within the Sword of Logos]].
** Chapter 26 finally reveals [[spoiler:the "true enemy"]] Calibur had been seeking and the source of the conspiracy: [[spoiler:Isaac, A.K.A. the current Master Logos himself, [[GodhoodSeeker seeking godhood through any means necessary]]]].
* ContrastingSequelProtagonist: Unlike [[Series/KamenRiderZeroOne A.I.M.S]], which was a public military organization recently formed under the eye of the government, Swords of Logos is a secret guild of knights that had been fighting off the Megid for eons now. A.I.M.S. fights off malicious A.I. with firearms while Swords of Logos obviously fights off the Megid with swords.
* CovertGroup: Rintaro describes it as a secret guild that been fighting threats for over two thousand years now.
* DwindlingParty: The sixsome that was together in the first arc slowly become less as the series continues. Kento is absorbed into the Ankokuken Kurayami and is assumed dead, while Touma was ousted due to Reika manipulating the other swordsman into believing he is the next Calibur. But later on, Tetsuo and Ryo leave the organization, believing that Touma was in the right all along, in addition to seeing how far the S.O.L. have fallen. After Chapter 29, none of the sixsome are aligned with the S.O.L., with the majority currently aligned with Touma, and Kento (until Chapter 39 when he rejoins Touma's team) and Ren going independent.
* ElementalPowers: All the swordsmen of the Order wield a particular elemental power, tied to the sword itself. The known elements are Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Wind, Sound, Darkness, the Void, Light, Smoke, and Time.
* HeroesPreferSwords: They ''are'' an organization full of swordsmen, after all.
* HeroicSacrifice: It's been mentioned multiple times that the Megid killed off many swordsmen of the order, but they didn't go down without a fight.
* LegacyCharacter: Every Seiken has at least two characters; a predecessor and a successor. The Rider designations reflect the bearers of particular swords (e.g., Saber for ''Kaenken Rekka'', Blades for ''Suiseiken Nagare'', and so on).
* {{Magitek}}: The Seiken used by the guild's swordsmen all look mechanical, but also run on a magic phlebotinum that gives each of them their ElementalPowers. The same goes for the Wonder Ride Books, which are pages of the magical GreatBigBookOfEverything converted into a technological form that makes them usable with the Seiken.
* {{Motif}}: As noted by the transformation calls and finishers of each Rider, each of them has a theme around specific book concepts or facets.
** Saber, Blades, Espada: Volumes and learning, with each additional Ride Book used increasing the number [[RuleOfThree up to three]].
*** Saber Draconic Knight, Blades Lion Daisenki: Books with folded paper.
*** Saber Primitive Dragon: Banned books.
*** Saber Elemental Dragon: Sequels.
*** Xross Saber: Anthologies.
*** Featuring Saber: Box set books.
*** Blades Tategami Hyoujuusenki: Sideways-oriented books and books with interactive attachments.
*** Espada Arabiana Night: Books with transparent filter/framing pages.
** Buster: Reprints and random reading.
** Kenzan: Scrolls and speed reading.
** Calibur: Translations and learning, the latter similar to the [=SworDriver=] users in that each additional Ride Book used increases the number [[RuleOfThree up to three]].
*** Additionally, pop-up books with ''Jaou Dragon''.
** Slash: Movements and reading aloud.
** Falchion: Burned books.
** Saikou: Chapters and comic books.
** Sabela, Durendal: Encyclopedias.
** Solomon: Omnibuses.
* TheOrder: An order of swordsmen that have been fighting for eons against the Megid's actions.
* OddlySmallOrganization: Subverted. While they have a small group of people at the start of the series, Reika's appearence shows that there's a Southern Base branch with their own set of Riders on the frontlines. Not to mention that there are and were many swordsmen in the order who are either not revealed yet or have been killed in action by the time the series started. However, it gets double suverted as while they were shown to have a lot of members in Chapter 23, their membership seems to consist solely of Master Logos and the two Shindai siblings most of the time. Chapter 39 reveals why: [[spoiler:Isaac [[AndIMustScream froze]] all the other swordsmen in the base to prevent them from interfering with his plans.]]
* RedShirtArmy: The S.O.L.'s Southern Base has a number of Seiken-less swordsmen that patrol its halls during Touma and Daishinji's first expedition. Not only do we never see them in action, they're unaware of TheConspiracy and [[AndIMustScream end up frozen in time]] by Isaac too far in advance of his schemes to even matter.
** Also, bonus points for them ''literally being an army of men in red shirts''.
* {{Sentai}}: Though they're Kamen Riders instead of a Franchise/SuperSentai team, they have more than a few similarities with their sister show on account of their [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience different colors]] and tendency to go out into battle as a team.
* ThemeNaming: All of the currently revealed members of the organization, aside from Sophia, have [[AlternateCharacterReading some type of variation of the word]] "god" [[note]]''kami''/''shin'', depending on the name -- e.g., ''Kami''yama, ''Shin''do, Fu''kami''ya, etc.; meanwhile, Isaac's surname, ''Kan''da, makes use of an archaic reading of the kanji[[/note]] in their name. It should be noted that only Touma, Reika and Ryoga, [[spoiler:and Isaac]] have the actual kanji for "god" (神) in their names. The Four Sages' title (四賢神) makes use of another alternate reading for the character, ''jin'',[[note]]e.g., Raijin (雷神) and Fujin (風神)[[/note]] which can also mean "person" (人).
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: As Saber unravels and exposes more of TheConspiracy, the four primary swordsmen (''especially'' Blades) are faced with doubt on what they're fighting for. All of the main four swordsmen have defected from the organization after Chapter 29, with [[spoiler:Blades, Buster and Slash fighting alongside Saber]] and Kenzan [[spoiler:in pursuit of Kamen Rider Calibur]].
** The Shindai siblings remain [[TakeAThirdOption fixed in the middle]], still loyal to their organization but [[EvenEvilHasStandards no longer loyal to the man making a mockery of it]]. After all, [[LoopholeAbuse they're loyal to "Master Logos", not Isaac]].

!!Isaac Kanda/Master Logos (current)/Kamen Rider Solomon
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Keisuke Sohma (live), Takuma Komori (suit)
->''My duty? To the world? I discarded that long ago. I have obtained power, and so I wish to use it! I shall take this tedious world, and imbue it with the excitement of destruction and carnage!''

The elusive Grand Master of the Sword of Logos. He is later revealed to be a madman who orchestrated the events of the series, as a means to claim the Almighty Book's power for himself so he could use it to become a god.\
\
Using the artificial Sword of Evil ''Caladbolg'', its token Wonder Ride Book ''Omni Force'', and its transformation belt the Dooms Driver Buckle, he transforms into Kamen Rider Solomon.
!!!Tropes that apply to him in general
[[quoteright:290: https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/master_logos_ii.png]]
[[caption-width-right:290:Great Leader of the Sword of Logos, and the Swordsman of Evil]]

* AGodAmI: Proclaims himself as a god upon obtaining the ''Omniforce'' Book.
* AllForNothing: He spent the entirety of the show manipulating everyone with the hopes obtaining the power of a God. When he's finally defeated by the heroes, and Storious betraying and killing him afterwards, his ambitions died with him.
* AlwaysABiggerFish: The moment Touma obtained the Haouken Xross Saber was the point Isaac became totally outclassed, something cemented by his last defeat at the hands of Saber, Blades, and Espada. Despite his swordsmanship, his overreliance on the extremely powerful ''Omni Force'' Wonder Ride Book did him little good when Touma was able to outmatch him with the power of Xross Saber. His final moments involve him impotently screaming at Storious to kneel before him before the Megid turns him to dust.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Speculation arose as to his true nature after it was shown that he not only had no problem wielding ''[[{{BFS}} Gekido]]'' in one hand and ''Ikazuchi'' in the other, but also fought off Saber and Calibur at the same time without transforming. Also, he has a connection to Tassel/Victor and has been the leader of the organization for longer than fifteen years without aging a single day. He himself later confirms that the lifespan of his clan's members is prolonged by the piece of the Book of Ancients that has been passed down through generations. Also, Tassel has a long standing relationship with his clan in general, but barely knows him in person. There's also his weird {{Phlegmings}} in Chapter 31 and the fact that he suddenly gains [[RedEyesTakeWarning red eyes]] at the end of Chapter 37.
* ArcVillain: Of the series' third arc.
* AssholeVictim: Not only did Storious ruthlessly turned on and vaporized him for his ''Omni Force'' Wonder Ride Book, the episode after had the heroes celebrating due to Touma defeating him for the third time as Xross Saber, signifying that neither side missed him one bit.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Is strong enough to deliver beatdowns to other Riders ''without'' needing to transform himself.
* AxCrazy: Isaac is batshit insane. How much can be summed up by the simple fact that his entire motivation for his plans is, by his own admission, because he was ''bored'' and decided to do it for fun.
* BadassNormal: In Chapter 33, he battles Touma and Kento by himself without any Rider form using the Seiken taken during the assault on the Northern Base from Chapter 32. Keep in mind that Kento possesses CombatClairvoyance thanks to ''Kurayami'', and Touma has one of the strongest forms in the show at the time. This was also ''before'' he became Kamen Rider Solomon.
* TheBadGuyWins: Played with. While he fails to recreate the Book of All thanks to Touma's intervention at the last second, returning the stolen Seiken and Wonder Ride Books to their respective owners and saving Luna, he gets a consolation prize in the form of a sword and Wonder Ride Book.
* BatmanGambit: In #23 he leads Touma to the Primitive Dragon book, knowing he'll use it to transform, so he'll be corrupted into TheBerserker by it.
* BeingEvilSucks: As Rintaro points out, all Isaac's mad grasps for more power did was alienate the people who already respected him. In the end Isaac spends his final moments haggard and alone, after being betrayed by his one remaining ally.
* BigBad: Of the ''Sword of Logos Saga'' special, which showcases how his machinations fueled the plot of the series. In the series itself [[BigBadDuumvirate he's one of two]], although he's definitely the most influential villain in the series. All of the problems Touma and the Sword of Logos face are in some way connected to his machinations.
** BigBadDuumvirate: He and his co-conspirator Storious are the source of all the problems in the series. He corrupted Hayato Fukamiya fifteen years prior, is the leading figure in TheConspiracy within Sword of Logos, and is working with Storious to recreate the Almighty Book, and subsequently the world in his own image.
* BrokenPedestal: The reveal of his [[OmnicidalManiac true]] [[ManipulativeBastard nature]] was a major blow to Rintaro, who was extremely loyal to him as leader of the Sword of Logos.
-->'''Rintaro:''' I put my faith in you as a member of the organisation... ''I practically worshiped you like a god!''
* BunnyEarsLawyer: A very dark example. Isaac is completely off his rocker, but that hasn't stopped him from being one of the most competent characters in the whole series. He somehow got to be leader of Sword Of Logos, disposed of the [[EliteFour Wise Sages]] covertly without anyone knowing, and roped Reika and Ryoga into going along with his plans - even getting them to disobey the other edicts of Sword of Logos - simply by convincing them he planned to use the Book of Ancients for good. He's also a highly skilled fighter, and managed to take on Saber and Calibur at the same time in Chapter 33 while he himself was untransformed and beat them both.
* TheChessmaster:
** He's the one who manipulated Hayato Fukamiya into unsealing the Megid and performing the ritual to sacrifice Luna, in order to put in place the pieces he needed for his ultimate plan.
** It's implied that Touma's confrontation with Storious and subsequent interaction with the forbidden book, leading to the creation of the Primitive Dragon Wonder Ride Book, was less ContrivedCoincidence and more his doing, as he knew Storious was looking for said book and pointed Touma in the right direction, if his smile upon Touma's first use of Primitive Dragon is of any indication.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Disposed of the four Wise Gods under him and plans to do the same to the Northern Base swordsmen now that they're no longer of use to him.
* ClimaxBoss: It took Touma unlocking the power of Xross Saber to finally beat him.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: [[Characters/KamenRiderZeroOneGaiAmatsu Gai Amatsu]], the previous series' resident HateSink and [[BigBadEnsemble co-Big Bad]], was the head of a company who dealt with technology and attempted to use the Ark's technology to dominate the world (or so it seemed, since his actual plan was to become the President of Hiden Intelligence). In contrast, Isaac is the leader of an order dedicated to handling more magical matters. Both men use those under them as tools to manipulate however they see fit, though whereas Gai got them to comply via microchips and said group broke free through sheer willpower, Isaac is playing everyone -- hero and villain alike -- like fiddles; it isn't until it becomes clear to the Swordsmen under him that the organization truly has become corrupt that they side with Touma. Gai was also StupidEvil and frequently [[KickTheDog kicked the dog]] even when it wasn't necessary while Isaac, despite being AxCrazy, is a competent manipulator who refrains from such behaviors if they don't further his goals. Their motivations are also diametrically different in that Gai masqueraded as a VisionaryVillain to cover up his simple {{greed}}, while Isaac is a CardCarryingVillain who gleefully admits to doing things [[ForTheEvulz just to alleviate his boredom]]. The greatest contrast between the two during the endgame of their respective shows is that Gai managed to pull a HeelFaceTurn and joined the heroes' side while [[KarmaHoudini he got away of all the unforgivable crimes he did in the first place]], whereas Isaac [[RedemptionRejection refused to repent from his villainy]] even upon his death.
* TheCorrupter: Is revealed in Chapter 33 to have manipulated Hayato into abducting Luna, sparking the events of 15 years ago and by extension the rest of the series.
* CreateYourOwnHero: Created Sophia as a replacement for the maiden who linked Earth and Wonder World. She would later go on to be one of the main people opposing his scheme. In a broader sense, him corrupting Hayato is what set off the events that led to Touma gaining the Brave Dragon book, leading him to become the hero that would oppose him.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Having ''Omni Force'' destroyed by Xross Saber ''sets Isaac on fire,'' leaving him writhing on the ground and screaming in agony while he ''burns alive''. Isaac somehow survives this and manages to restore the book, only for Storious to promptly ''disintegrate him''.
* DemiurgeArchetype: To nicely compliment his SatanicArchetype partner. Isaac views himself as a God, and everyone else as pawns for him to torment.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He's the BigBad for most of the series, and as a RealityWarper who controls part of the Great Book, Solomon seems like the prime candidate for FinalBoss of the series... [[spoiler:only for him to be killed by Storious and have the Omni Force book taken from him.]]
* DualWielding: Wields ''Gekido'' and ''Ikazuchi'' simultaneously in Chapter 33. Note that ''Gekido'' is a {{BFS}}.
* DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans: His ultimate goal is to remake the world into one of suffering and strife for no other reason than sheer boredom.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He first appears in TheStinger of the movie ''The Phoenix Swordsman and the Book of Ruin'', where he seals away the book Bahato is imprisoned in.
* EnergyBow: Manifests one using the power of the Southern Base's fragment of the Book of Ancients in Chapter 32, which he uses to destroy the barrier around the Northern Base.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Even after he reveals his true name is Isaac, the other characters still call him "Master Logos."
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He finds Ryoga's views of fighting to protect the world as pathetic.
* EvilIsHammy: He appears to be TheStoic when dealing with the Northern base riders, but is actually ''not'' a measured individual by any means and just loves to engage in some villainous gloating. In fact, his hammy nature is the first clue we get to how sinister he is.
* EvilLaugh: He might enjoy it even more than Legeiel, and it doesn't sound any less ominous or insane from him.
* EvilRunningGood: Runs the organization dedicated to protecting the Sacred Swords and Wonder Ride Books from misuse, while also planning to use them for his own ends.
* ExactWords: When Tassel reminds him of the promise made by his predecessor, Isaac retorts that the promise was made by the ''first'' Master Logos, not him. As such, he has no such obligations to protect Wonder World and Earth and would much rather play both sides so he can get his hands on the Book of All and remake both worlds in his own image.
* {{Expy}}: He's [[Characters/KamenRiderExAidKurotoDan Kuroto Dan]] but played completely seriously and without any comedic moments. He's one half of a BigBadDuumvirate who starts off as the benefactor of the heroes' side before being revealed as the mastermind who kicked the events of the series off, is incredibly [[LargeHam hammy]] and AxCrazy, and is driven by a desire [[AGodAmI to become a god]].
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Notably subverted: [[spoiler:he's the ''only'' villain in the series who doesn't accept his death with grace, instead ranting like a complete maniac about how he's a god.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: He acts calm and soft-spoken, yet is a power-hungry individual who manipulates events to his liking and wishes to recreate the worlds under his rule. It doesn't take long after until he discards that mask and turn into a CardCarryingVillain, though.
* TheFightingNarcissist: He has an extremely high opinion of himself to the point of having a GodComplex, views everyone else as pawns he should get to bow down to him or die. When Touma finally hands him his first real defeat, his response is a speechless, narcissistic rage.
* ForTheEvulz: He loves to cause conflict between humans just for the heck of it. By his own admission, he's doing all of this simply because he was ''bored'' and didn't see humans as worth protecting.
* FreudianExcuseDenial: He starts to make one up in Chapter 39, but can't even keep up the charade for ''one sentence.'' He then promptly drops the act and laughs at Touma and Rintaro for thinking he might have had one.
-->'''Isaac:''' I lost someone I loved, due to humanity's mistakes. ''({{Beat}})'' Would you be satisfied if I had told you that? I have not a reason. [[ForTheEvulz I was simply bored]].
* GigglingVillain: You'd be hard pressed to find an episode where he ''isn't'' laughing like the madman he is.
* HateSink: Compared to the other villains in this show who have enough redeeming qualities to make them likable, Isaac is a complete scumbag with none at all, being a vile and power-hungry villain running an organization intended to protect the balance of both worlds, only for him to deviate from his predecessors' duties by manipulating his own men and enemies alike in order to succeed his nefarious goals of recreating the world in his own image with him as their god.
* TheHeavy: The Megid may be this for individual episodes, but Isaac is it for the series as a whole. He engineered Hayato Fukamiya's betrayal before the series began, resulting in the Megid being unsealed and Luna disappearing, and used Reika Shindai to turn the Northern Base Riders against Touma, before eventually stepping to the forefront to directly enact his plans.
* HeroicLineage: Comes from the clan descended from the founder of the Sword of Logos, in which each Master Logos is chosen from. He also demonstrates why deciding leaders based on blood [[TheCaligula isn't always a good idea]].
* HiddenVillain: He is the traitor within Sword of Logos that Daichi sought out to find.
* HumansAreMorons: His clan was originally meant to safeguard mankind, but after seeing their supposed inability to grow or change through the ages, Isaac decided killing them all was more productive.
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: Notably, while the Megid [[spoiler:''used'' to be human and given their DyingAsYourself moments lost a few things in the transformation]], Isaac is ''entirely'' human. He's also more monstrous than all of the Megid, as he openly mocks the idea he could have a FreudianExcuse and just wants to [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans remake the world into Hell]] purely because he's ''bored.''
* HumiliationConga: From the moment the Haouken Xross Saber is forged, he suffers defeat after defeat. Each time he engages Touma, he gets his ass kicked mercilessly. And it all culminates in Omniforce being destroyed by a Rider Kick. And while he does reform it not long after, Storious quickly shows up and turns him to dust. For all his talk of godhood, [[KarmicDeath he died a mere pitiful mortal]].
* IdenticalGrandson: Bears an uncanny resemblance to his ancestor, the first Master Logos, as revealed in Chapter 41.
* ImmortalityImmorality: Inverted. His preexisting immortality and being stuck in the same position for hundreds of years are implied to be what led him to become such an evil bastard in the present day, as he'd rather stir up some excitement by watching humanity fall to ruin rather than sit back watching them repeat the same routine.
* InTheHood: Before his proper debut as the BigBad, he prefers to obscure his face with the robe's hood. Once he takes center stage, he stops wearing the hood.
* InvoluntaryBattleToTheDeath: His announcement to the world in Chapter 36 orders one, with the survivors allowed to live in what's left behind.
* IronicName: Unlike his namesake in Literature/TheBible and Literature/TheQuran, who was a righteous leader and loyal follower of God, this Isaac is a megalomaniacal tyrant who betrayed his own people and defied his sworn duty for his own nefarious goals.
* ItAmusedMe: His entire reason for attempting to destroy the world is simple boredom, born out of his distaste with having to safeguard humanity, a species he saw as incapable of changing and doomed to repeat its mistakes.
* KarmicDeath: Wanted to use everyone like pawns to [[ApocalypseHow ravage the world]] as [[AGodAmI a god]] ForTheEvulz. His god-like power is destroyed before his very eyes and [[LaserGuidedKarma Issac spends his last moments a whimpering wreck in fear for his mortal life before being killed very ingloriously by the man who has been using him the entire time]].
* KingIncognito: In Chapter 23 he appears before Touma unhooded and disguised as a Southern Base guardsman.
* LastWords: Just before he gets vaporized by Storious:
-->"What kind of blasphemy is this...? [[AGodAmI You are in the presence of a God]]! ''[[KneelBeforeZod KNEEL BEFORE ME!!!]]''"
* LegacyCharacter: He's the current bearer of the title of "Master Logos", having inherited it from the first and an unknown amount of previous bearers.
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: His plan consists of having people screaming in pain, agony, fear, terror, and anguish to start the mornings in place of the usual chirping birds...and he loves it.
* TheManBehindTheMan: He manipulated Hayato into kidnapping Luna, setting off the incident 15 years ago, and is the one who sent Reika Shindai to Northern Base to sow discord between the swordsmen. He also may have been influencing the movements of the Megid through his [[BigBadDuumvirate partner-in-crime]] Storious, though for the longest time it's unclear whether he's this to Storious or if [[GambitPileup Storious is this to him]].
* ManipulativeBastard: As the ''[[Recap/KamenRiderSaberSpinOffSwordOfLogosSagaPart1 Sword of Logos Saga]]'' shows, he played on Hayato Fukamiya's desire to protect his friends and Kento to coerce him into going along with his plan.
* MaskOfSanity: Acts composed in public, while he shows more of his true unhinged nature in private.
* TheMaster: Called "Master Logos", the title for whomever leads the Sword of Logos.
* MoleInCharge: He's leader of Sword of Logos, yet is actively cooperating with their sworn enemy Storious.
* MysteriousPast: The only thing known about him is that he comes from a clan that has been in charge of the guild since its founding, which is presumably the reason for his position and the common history with Tassel. How and when he rose to power or allied himself with the Megid remains a mystery.
* NeverMyFault: Tells Kento his father's fate was his own fault for believing what he told him.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Was ultimately vaporized by Storious.
* NoNameGiven: He's only called "Master Logos" initially, with no clue as to what his real name is. Chapter 36 and [[https://twitter.com/dinahasegawa/status/1406200690570006535 a tweet]] from secondary writer Keiichi Hasegawa reveal it to be Isaac Kanda.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He swayed Hayato Fukamiya to his side by convincing him he wanted to use the Almighty Book to end the conflict between the Megid and the Sword of Logos. Which is technically true, [[FromACertainPointOfView though not in the way Hayato believed]]. The Shindai siblings also seem to believe he had good intentions in mind, as they were willing to go against the other rules of the Sword of Logos to help him. [[spoiler:Alas, they were all InstantlyProvenWrong once he showed his true colors.]]
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: He somehow managed to kill each of the Four Sages, who (when [[spoiler:brought back [[CameBackWrong as zombies]] by Storious]]) are shown to be much stronger than all of the Riders.
* OmnicidalManiac: [[CardCarryingVillain Doesn't even bother hiding it]] in Chapter 33.
-->'''Isaac''': [[TakeOverTheWorld I simply aim to remake this world]] into [[ApocalypseHow one brimming with strife]]. [[FromBadToWorse Imagine the sound of birds chirping in the morning as it turns into the dying wails of humans]]. [[HighOnHomicide Does that not sound joyous]]?
* OneManArmy: The Northern Base swordsmen are a team of One Man Armies. Isaac mops the floor with all of them once he gains the Omniforce book.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: He doesn't get involved in the affairs of the Sword of Logos himself and would much rather have Reika relay his orders to the Northern Base. He does get slightly involved when Touma arrives in the Northern Base asking for an audience at the same time Storious infiltrates the Southern Base in search of a forbidden book by leading Touma into a confrontation with the Megid general. This changes in Chapter 33, when he [[VillainNoLongerIdle gets off his throne]] and confronts Touma and Kento, battling them personally instead of having Ryoga or Reika do it.
* PerpetualSmiler: He usually keeps a [[SlasherSmile menacing, unhinged smile]] on his face, no matter the situation.
* {{Phlegmings}}: A panning shot near the end of Chapter 31 gives us a rather-unflattering peek into Isaac's drool-filled mouth.
* PsychopathicManchild: His motivation boils down to wanting to have fun instead of fulfilling his duties, and his VillainousBreakdown in Chapter 40 has him devolve into childish screaming. This even extends to his powers as Solomon, which basically allow him to have any power he wanted, much like a kid saying his superpower was anything.
* RealityWarper: Through the use of ''Omni Force'', Isaac derives most (if not all) of his abilities not provided by the Great Book or his experience simply by willing them into existence. This is what makes him particularly dangerous once he becomes Solomon, as he can conjure NewPowersAsThePlotDemands by merely thinking about it, and his sociopathy can be fed on by ''Omni Force'' to provide an endless supply of power-ups.
* Really700YearsOld: According to Keiichi Hasegawa, he's around 1,028 years old.
* ShutUpKirk: When Tassel tells him the world is not his to control, Isaac rebuts him by proclaiming "of course it is".
* SlouchOfVillainy: As his unhinged nature becomes more apparent, Isaac starts to sit more casually in his throne.
* SmugSnake: His FatalFlaw. Isaac fancies himself as a god and has the power to back it up with the Omni Force book. However, it is overshadowed by his tendency of underestimating the heroes, Touma especially when he unlocks [[SuperMode Xross Saber]], that put him in his place.
* TheSociopath: Isaac [[ManipulativeBastard manipulates both heroes and villains alike]] to further his goals, went against the creed of his predecessors by wanting to [[TakeOverTheWorld rebuild the two worlds under his rule]], [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness disposes of those that either grow beyond his expectations or try to hinder him in any way]], and has a [[AGodAmI rather massive God complex]]. His upbeat personality serves to highlight his madness as he seems joyous over others' suffering and expresses zero remorse for his crimes. It is also worth noting that most sociopaths have a need for stimulation; in his case, the 'need for stimulation' part comes from his ''actual'' motive: by his own admission, his entire motivation is he was just bored.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Sees it as his duty to lead the world that he will rebuild in his own image.
* ToCreateAPlaygroundForEvil: His goal is to create a world where, in his own words, "the screams of humans will replace the birds chirping at dawn".
* TokenEvilTeammate: Unlike most of the members of Swords Of Logos which also includes [[EvenEvilHasStandards the Shindai siblings]] who fight for greater good, Isaac is a scumbag and a sociopathic OmnicidalManiac who doesn't care for anyone but himself and finds pleasure in hurting others.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: It's not known what the previous Master Logos was like, but Isaac seems to be the source of the corruption in the organization.
* UnskilledButStrong: An odd case where he's [[StrongAndSkilled extremely skilled]] in one category, but extremely unskilled in another. He's an extremely skilled swordsman, but when it comes to Solomon's ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve powers, his usual strategy tends to just 'give myself sheer power and throw things at my opponent.' Meanwhile, Touma, being a very creative person, has proven much more flexible with ''his'' ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve powers as Xross Saber.
* VaguenessIsComing: Though she tells the Sword of Logos of Isaac's order to retrieve the Primitive Dragon Wonder Ride Book and kill Touma if necessary, Reika is confused because Isaac states that he doesn't care if Touma keeps it. Chapter 23 even has him smile upon Touma's first usage of Primitive Dragon.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: ''Saber'' may be a bit LighterAndSofter, but Isaac is definitely one of the most vile antagonists in the franchise, being a sadist who desires to make humanity suffer [[ForTheEvulz as a way of amusing himself]].
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: For the first half of the show, the other Sword of Logos members still view him as their wise and revered leader, and it takes a while for them to realize he's gone completely off his rocker.
* VillainousBreakdown: He's smug and confident when things go his way, often laughing and gleeful about it... but Touma flat out defeating him in Chapter 39 leaves him practically ''seething'' with rage and unable to actually speak from sheer fury. It carries on into Chapter 40 where he gets further enraged and deranged as Touma continually sets back his plans, culminating in him shrieking pathetically after Touma shatters the ''Omniforce'' Book.
* VillainTeamUp: He's revealed to be working with the Megid in the WhamShot at the beginning of Chapter 31.
* WouldHurtAChild: Was perfectly willing to sacrifice Luna, a child, for a ritual that would recreate the Almighty Book.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: More accurately, they've grown beyond his expectations. He initially allows Touma to do as he pleases while Reika pits his former comrades against him for unknown reasons. After Touma creates the Elemental Dragon Wonder Ride Book and successfully tames the power of Primitive Dragon, Isaac orders his death under the belief that Touma has grown stronger than he expected.
** He also says this to Bahato after his defeat by Saber Emotional Dragon in Chapter 35. Bahato takes it [[LaughingMad in stride.]]
--->'''Isaac''': Your role in this has ended.
** Chapter 40 has him on the receiving end of this from Storious, before the latter kills him.

!!!Tropes exclusive to him as Kamen Rider Solomon
[[quoteright:210:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/krsa_solomonomniforce_5.png]]
[[caption-width-right:210:[[AC:Open the omnibus. Force of the god, Kamen Rider Solomon! Fear is coming soon...]]]]
* AllYourPowersCombined: Solomon is charged with the powers of every Wonder Ride and Alter Ride Book, and his helmet allows him to summon any construct from any book at any moment.
* {{BFS}}: ''Caladbolg'' is a massive sword with so much heft that it cannot be properly wielded without using ''Omni Force'' to will it to move like a lighter blade.
* ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve: Through the power of the ''Omni Force'' Wonder Ride Book, Solomon draws upon Isaac's mind for power. In other words, its nearly unstoppable strength and access to every power previously encountered in the series is not the work of a true external power source, but because Isaac simply ''wills it to be.'' This is actually to his detriment after Xross Saber enters the picture, as he has the exact same power, but because all Isaac can imagine is 'power stronger and throwing overwhelming force at my enemy', he's outmatched because Touma is an author and much more creative with his powers.
* EvilKnockoff: ''Caladbolg'' is a gold and black version of Kingexcalibur.
* EvilLaugh: In lieu of standby music, the Dooms Driver Buckle laughs ''ad infinitum'' once a book is inserted before being activated.
* FinishingMove: By closing and opening the ''Omni Force'' Wonder Ride Book and hitting the button on top of the driver, Solomon can perform a variety of finishing moves.
** Solomon Break: has four variations.
*** Solomon charges ''Caladbolg'' with crimson and black energy before thrusting the sword forward, sending the energy in the form of a blast towards the opponent.
*** Solomon raises ''Caladbolg'' to the sky surrounded by gold energy and swings it down to his foes, sending a manifested meteor shower upon them.
*** Solomon blocks enemy attacks with his hand and absorbs them into a ball of purple energy. He then sends the energy and the attack thereof, back to the opponent, damaging them. This move uses the belt only.
*** Solomon creates a wave of dark red energy from his hand. Anyone struck by it will fall under Solomon's control and attack their own allies. This move also uses the belt only.
** Solomon Strash: has five variations.
*** Solomon summons a massive energy construct of ''Caladbolg'' and slashes the enemy.
*** A giant manifestation of ''Omni Force'' summons a giant version of ''Caladbolg'' which executes a downward slash on its victims.
*** A giant manifestation of ''Omni Force'' deploys numerous huge ''Caladbolg'' duplicates, some of which transform into humanoid King of Solomon mechs to attack.
*** Solomon charges Caladbolg with red energy before his eyes glow and his entire body is surrounded by an aura of dark orange energy. He then performs two red energy slashes in an X formation, which combine and are sent toward the enemy.
*** Solomon raises Caladbolg into the air with its blade covered in dark red energy. Numerous copies of Caladbolg then appear in the air and rain down on enemies.
** Solomon Zone: has four variations just like the first finisher.
*** Solomon raises ''Caladbolg'' to the sky, launching a red laser towards a manifestation of the suspended Great Book, which subsequently forms a red energy field capable of reducing everything caught under its area to rock and dust.
*** Solomon teleports himself and his victims to another location.
*** Solomon warps his surroundings, launches two meteor shower waves, charges up ''Caladbolg'' to perform a horizontal and a vertical slash and swings a giant copy of ''Caladbolg'' down on his targets.
*** Solomon opens a portal to Wonder World and reaches his arm into it. On the other side of the portal, a giant version of Solomon's arm breaks through Wonder World's sky and reaches for his target.
* GoldColoredSuperiority: His armor has gold accents, and he is able to take on ''Durendal and Sabela'' without breaking a sweat.
* LightIsNotGood: The heroic white of his armor belies the evil godhood-seeking tyrant wearing it.
* MeaningfulName:
** The [[Literature/TheBible Biblical]] Solomon was a [[TheGoodKing virtuous and benevolent king]] before he [[FallenHero turned to wicked practices later in life]], much like how Isaac descended into evil and forsook his duty after seeing the apparent sins of humanity.
** Caladbolg was the sword of the Irish king Fergus mac Róich in Celtic Mythology, said to be able to slice the tops off mountains and decimate entire armies.
* PaletteSwap: Re-uses a lot of assets from previous seasons, though Calibur Jaou Dragon's helmet is the most noticeable. The rest an extensive repaint of [[Series/KamenRiderZiO Ohma Zi-O]]'s robot EliteMooks, with everything but the helmet used, with the cape courtesy of [[Series/KamenRiderGaim Bravo]] King Durian Arms.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has red eyes with wavy schlera that are very similar to that of [[Series/KamenRiderExAid Gamedeus Cronus]].
* TheSomethingForce: His Wonder Ride Book is titled ''Omni'''force'''''.
* VoidBetweenTheWorlds: [[AlienGeometries His cape is made of something akin to this]], allowing him to use it to deflect attacks as if he was never there.

[[caption-width-right:250:The Swordswoman of Smoke]]

* TheAce: She is by far the most skillful and the most formidable swordswoman in the series, and by extension, one of the notable powerful female Riders in recent history. On top of being a genius strategist, having started a civil war between Touma and the Northern Base swordsmen in the second half of the series, coupled with serving as a de-facto leader to the team of heroines in ''Girls Remix''.
* ActionGirl: She officially transforms into Kamen Rider Sabela starting at the climax of the second arc and seems to be one of the stronger fighters in the show, able to take on most of the other Riders and beat them one-on-one.
* ADayInTheLimelight: The second half of the ''Sword of Logos Saga'' serves as one, as it provides further insight to her starting days as a member of the Southern Base and thoughts during the first arc, sharing her perspective with Daichi's own after he became the second Calibur.
** Despite having somewhat less screentime, the second half of the crossover with ''Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger'' can also count, as the episode has her and Ryoga as the main representatives for ''Saber'' rather than Touma.
** While it's shared with the majority of the Rider female cast, Reika is one of the more prominantly featured heroines in Girls Remix being part of the main group that appears in all 3 episodes. Notably she's the only Rider other than the Revice girls to transform in one of the earlier skirmishes before the final episode.
* AmbiguouslyEvil: Reika's primary activities during the first quarter are providing help to Kento in his pursuit of Calibur. Given how this leads Kento down a path of self-destruction, one that she further enables after it's already clear that it's making him irrational and aggressive, her motives for doing so are questionable. Her misgivings about Isaac consorting with the Megid, after her actions in the second arc only serve to muddy the waters even further.
* AntiVillain: It's implied the reason Reika is aiding Isaac is because she genuinely thinks he will use the Wonder Ride Books for good. When she finds out just how deranged he is, she [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere leaves Isaac]] and [[EnemyMine oppose him, even begrudgingly fighting by Touma's side]].
* ArcVillain: Of the "traitor" arc, as she was the one who turned the other Northern Base swordsmen against Touma and set off the plot.
* TheBaroness: She's very attractive, yet thoroughly rigid and manipulative.
* BatmanGambit: Her overall goal is forcing the Sword of Logos to battle Touma by telling them he has betrayed the guild, thus driving a wedge between them. She would either succeed in making Touma lose his Brave Dragon Wonder Ride Book and ''Rekka'' or force Yuri to appear and defend Touma, thus revealing himself. She succeeds with that last one, though unfortunately for her, Yuri rejects her offer to join the Sword of Logos when they meet in person.
* BerserkButton:
** She loses her calm façade whenever someone insults or disagrees with Master Logos.
** Also, do ''not'' one-up, copy (even when this is unintentional), or get too close to Ryoga.
* BigBrotherWorship: Greatly admires Ryoga, even addressing him as "''onii-[[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns sama]]''".
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Downplayed. While Reika puts on the logical airs of a ReasonableAuthorityFigure, she isn't very good at concealing that she knows more than she's telling; something the older swordsmen take quick notice of. After Ogami's defection from the organization and the battle ensuing from it, she drops the charade completely.
* BoyishShortHair: Sports a much shorter hair 8 years later as seen in the ''Trio of Deep Sin'' film.
* BreakoutCharacter: Of all the female Riders in the franchise, Reika stands out with a huge level of popularity in the Reiwa era. Starting out as a mysterious messenger for Master Logos before revealing herself as his enforcer and transforming for the first time as Sabela. Her popularity among fans was enough for her to survive the final battle, but also makes her the first character to be revealed in ''Girls Remix'' alongside [[Series/KamenRiderZeroOne Is]]. She would later get to star in her own TTFC special alongside her brother.
* BrokenPedestal: Reika blindly trusted and was strongly loyal towards Isaac, willing to do his dirty work in order to attain his approval. After Touma and Yuri told her that her master is allied with the Megid and witnessing Zooous dragging a defeated Ogami, she starts to lose her trust in him.
* BrotherSisterTeam: She and her brother Ryoga serve as Isaac's top enforcers.
* ChessmasterSidekick: To Isaac. While Isaac is a competent manipulator himself, the scheme to turn the Northern Base Riders against Touma was all her doing.
* [[ClingyJealousGirl Clingy Jealous Sister]]: She gets enraged whenever someone makes physical contact with Ryoga; if angered for too long, she's willing to swing her Seiken or force them out of her brother's grasp.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter:
** Both [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Miho Kirishima]] and Reika are the only female knight-themed Riders of their series. While Miho was a movie-exclusive Rider, Reika became a Rider near the climax of her series' second arc. Miho was initially introduced as a GoldDigger who seduced men for money, and was later revealed to be a sympathetic AntiHero who fought to get her sister back; Reika started off as an antagonist opposing the heroes and was loyal to Isaac out of family duty, but eventually turned on him upon learning of his true nature.
** Both [[Series/KamenRiderGaim Yoko Minato]] and Reika started off as the TokenEvilTeammate to the heroes and eventually became Kamen Riders during the second arc of their series. Yoko was a professional employee of Yggdrasil Corporation initially working under Ryoma Sengoku, while Reika is a messenger of Swords Of Logos initially working under Isaac. Both of them had UndyingLoyalty and strong trust towards their respective masters until they revealed their true colors to them, which prompt both Yoko and Reika to join the heroes as their SixthRanger during the climax of their series' third arc while fully being more devoted to another male charcter they're close with (Kaito to Yoko, Ryoga to Reika).
* CoolBigSis: [[Series/KamenRiderRevice Sakura Igarashi]] views her as one, to the point of calling her her "onee-sama". Reika is quite flattered.
* DarkActionGirl: During the time she was serving as an enforcer for being Master Logos. She later becomes a heroic Action Girl when she turns on him.
* DarkIsEvil: Seemingly {{subverted}} at first, being that she [[DarkIsNotEvil works for the good guys despite her wearing all black most of the time]]. Later played straight in the second arc, though she switches her outfit to a [[RedIsViolent crimson red]] one when she is placed on active duty. This becomes truly subverted altogether when she and her brother begin to oppose Isaac after he is exposed as a world-conquering madman.
* DivideAndConquer: Convinced the Northern Base Riders that Touma betrayed the guild in the second arc, keeping them opposed to Touma and out of the fray until much later in the story.
* EasilyForgiven: Despite the trouble she and her brother gave to the heroes, Touma doesn't bear any hatred or grudge towards them and is willing to welcome them to his team with open arms.
* EnemyMine: She and Ryoga [[spoiler:fight alongside Touma and Rintaro against Kamen Rider Solomon]] in Chapter 36, though Reika [[TeethClenchedTeamwork makes her distaste clear]] by going along with Ryoga's own distaste.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She may be a cold-hearted ManipulativeBitch willing to play the other members of the guild, but even she is against working with the Megid; the idea that her Master may be willing to do so is enough to make her hesitate.
* EvilWearsBlack: Wears black in her messenger uniform, the first clue we get that something's up with her.
* ExtremeDoormat: To her brother. She always follows his lead, even when her expressions make her reservations clear. The few times she ''does'' attempt to speak her mind, she's brushed off.
* {{Flanderization}}: In the first and second arcs, Reika is shown to be a stoic and icy manipulator able to turn the Northern Base Riders against Touma, and a disciplined and highly skilled swordswoman on top of that. Then her older brother gets introduced, and we see that Reika gets flustered whenever he's around and yearns for his approval. By the time she's on Touma's side, those traits get downplayed in favor of her BigBrotherWorship towards Ryoga, to the point of being an ExtremeDoormat to him and [[BerserkButton reacting with fiery rage]] whenever another so much as touches or even looks at him the wrong way. This gets [[CharacterCheck reversed]] when she reappears in the ''Series/KamenRiderRevice'' spinoff miniseries ''[[Recap/KamenRiderJeanneAndKamenRiderAguileraWithGirlsRemix Jeanne and Aguilera with Girls Remix]]'', where she's more as a CoolBigSister figure and focus is placed on her martial discipline, role as a tactician and her leadership skill. The ''Kamen Rider Sabela and Durendal'' carries on with this characterization of her, with her love towards her brother being less obsessive and just a case of BigBrotherWorship.
* {{Foil}}: The ''Sword of Logos Saga'' reveals her as one to Touma. Both were rookies to the Sword of Logos, but while Touma was an outsider and thus not blinded to the corruption within the organization, Reika was raised by her clan internally to be loyal to it, leading her to go along with Isaac's plans and not realize his true nature until much later.
* GoodCostumeSwitch: It's not long after she switches to red that she becomes increasingly suspect of Master Logos's intentions, eventually leading to her turning good [[RedIsHeroic and keeping the outfit]].
* TheHeavy: Takes the spot from the Megid at the start of the second arc. With the MonsterOfTheWeek plot becoming OutOfFocus in favor Kamen Rider on Kamen Rider conflicts, it's Reika who's stirring the pot to get Touma Kamiyama and the Sword of Logos Riders to fight each other.
* HazyFeelTurn: Her trust towards Isaac begins to waver after Yuri tells her the latter is allied with the Megid. [[spoiler:He was right all along.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: After Isaac betrays her and Ryoga, she decides to stop Isaac and begrudgingly joins forces with Touma's group.
* HeelRealization: Slowly starts to realize the Master Logos has more sinister intentions around Chapter 32. When he all but tells the Shindai siblings in Chapter 35 [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness their service is at an end]], Ryoga has to hold Reika back from a hostile response.
* HistoryRepeatsItself: Invoked. 15 years prior to the series, the original Calibur allegedly betrayed the Sword of Logos to gain power. Reika brands Touma a traitor seeking the same thing. The current batch of swordsmen [[ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight aren't as naive as she thinks]], however...
* IfICantHaveYou: Non-romantic example; after Touma refuses her offer to join the Southern Branch, she seizes control of the rest of the Northern Branch members and has them brand Touma as a traitor out of spite.
* {{Irony}}: Reika spent the entire Betrayal Arc emotionally manipulating Rintaro into remaining on the SOL's side and "finding his resolve." Come Chapter 32 and an errant accusation of [[spoiler:a Isaac-Megid Alliance]] from Yuri, she has a split-second reaction of shock and has to be off-handedly motivated by her brother. As if her resolve was shaken, [[spoiler:she ends the Chapter with a look of doubt on her face ''just like Rintaro's]]''.
* {{Jerkass}}: She's not overly hostile or demeaning, but she is rather unpleasant. Ogami certainly did not appreciate her badmouthing Tetsuo after he leaves the Sword of Logos to join Touma.
* KickTheDog:
** After Touma declines her offer to join the Southern Branch, she proceeds to label him a traitor to the organization and turning all of its members against him.
** Her response to Sophia asking if the other swordsmen are all right is to backhand her.
* KnightOfCerebus: Reika's arrival marks the point when things get more serious, and she soon causes one of the biggest plot shakeups by manipulating Northern Base into turning on Touma.
* KnightTemplarBigBrother: Well, "Little Sister" to be accurate. Threaten her "onii-sama" to your own peril.
* {{Leitmotif}}: When she's on the move as Kamen Rider Sabela, she's usually accompanied by a snippet from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBYLa_MhChg "Fear Don't Know My Name"]].
* LethalChef: Per Ryoga, she cannot make tea that doesn’t taste terrible.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: Her act of manipulating the entire Sword of Logos members into attacking Touma not only served as a middle finger to Touma for declining her offer to join the Southern Base, but also part of drawing out the Sword of Light and have everyone think that Touma might end up becoming a third Calibur.
* ManipulativeBitch: She encourages Kento to continue pursuing Daichi Kamijo, which also fueled Kento's self-destructive in pursuing the truth of what happened to his father. When the Megid's plans are thwarted and Kamijo defeated, she later claims that Touma is a traitor to Ogami and Daishinji and telling Rintaro that Sophia has been taken, knowing he's duty-bound to save her, which puts the Sword of Logos into direct confrontation with Touma, all in order to bring Yuri out into the open.
* [[MySisterIsOffLimits My Brother is Off-Limits!]]: Word of advice, don't look, smile and for the sake of everything you hold dear, ''do not'' touch her brother when she can see you. [[MurderIsTheBestSolution Violence]] is inevitable.
* NotSoAboveItAll:
** In the second part of the ''Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger'' crossover, Reika does a Sentai-style roll call with no issue, while [[TheComicallySerious her brother]] previously hesitated.
** Whenever anyone flirts or get closer with her brother, Reika usually gets angry in a comical manner, to the point where even ''[[TheComicallySerious Ryoga himself]]'' ''[[OOCIsSeriousBusiness is terrified]]''.
** Reika fits in well with the rest of the Heroines in Girls Remix despite most of them being far more energetic and odd. She's thrilled Sakura sees her as a cooler sister figure, gossips about the stylishness of Henshin poses, and when Is offers to teach the girls her high speed cleaning techniques Reika is one of the first to raise her hand. When the group is asked to take part in a photo spread article about "Strong Modern Women" at the end Reika is only too happy to join in.
* NotSoStoic:
** The cold and calculating Reika gets genuinely angry when anyone insults or disagrees with Master Logos.
** She's also genuinely distressed when Ryoga warns her that Isaac is losing his faith in her.
** Her response to Isaac declaring YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness is to almost go off on him, restrained by her brother.
** Whenever [[TheComicallySerious Ryoga]] does anything, she starts to fangirl over him.
** She usually reacts with violence, whenever anyone tries to get closer with Ryoga.
* OddFriendship: She forms this with Magine during the crossover with [[Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger Zenkaiger]]. Despite both the girls being polar opposites to each other, they actually get along well and have a knack for taking down enemy forces flawlessly during their team-up. In fact, Reika even gives Magine a hug as her way of saying goodbye at the end, flustering them both.
** She also becomes good friends to all the other Rider Heroines in Girls Remix, even though she's very stoicly serious and the majority of them range from quirky ( TheComicallySerious bad pun making RobotGirl Is) to outright goofy (Poppy the literal Genki game mascot with pink hair come to life). Reika doesn't seem to mind their antics and lack of professionalism and very much enjoys their time together.
* OlderAndWiser: Her appearance in the ''Girls Remix'' shows a more mature and level-headed part of her and coming at full circle in ''Sabela & Durendal''. Despite her attachment to her brother, Reika is growing to be more independent in her own way.
* RedHerring: She was initially alluded to be the traitor in Sword of Logos. Turns out that it was really [[TheManBehindTheMan her boss]].
* RedIsViolent: Dons a red swordsman garb when she finally takes to the field as Sabela. It becomes [[RedIsHeroic heroic]] when she [[HeelFaceTurn switches sides]].
* ReformedButNotTamed: While she switched sides after learning of Master Logos' true colors, in the main series she still retains her unpleasant and violent nature, especially when her brother is concerned.
* {{Revenge}}: Zigzagged. While Reika did make Touma out to be a traitor to the Sword of Logos after he rejected her offer to return with her to the Southern Base, she also used the conflict to force Yuri out into the open.
* SixthRanger: She and Ryoga joins Touma's group starting from the final arc.
* SmurfettePrinciple: Starting from Chapter 25 onwards, she becomes the sole female Rider of her series until Sophia becomes the fourth Kamen Rider Calibur.
* StatuesqueStunner: She is portrayed by Mei Angela who is 172cm tall, making her the second tallest female Kamen Rider as of now, losing only to [[Series/KamenRiderKiva Yuri Aso]].
* StrongAsTheyNeedToBe: Reika's debut as Sabela demonstrates what a threat she is. She then goes through a series of very ignoble losses against four enemies way stronger than her[[note]]Primitive Dragon, Calibur, Desast and Blades Tategami Hyojyuu Senki - in that order.[[/note]] and has barely been a blip on peoples' radar since, lurking behind-the-scenes to take Seikens instead.
* StrongerSibling: Zig-zagged. While her brother is physically stronger than her, because his main battle strategy is to [[AttackAttackAttack just keep attacking]], Reika tends to perform better than him by making use of tactics in fights.
* TheChosenOne: While the Shindai Clan has served the Sword of Logos for century, she is the first to be chosen by a Seiken in centuries. Deconstructed, as this means that Ryoga is worried about her safety.
* TookALevelInBadass: After spending most of her screentime manipulating Touma's allies against him and not doing anything during the first half of the series, Reika officially becomes Kamen Rider Sabela starting from the third arc onwards.
* TookALevelInKindness: She's a lot more pleasant and affable when she reappears in the "Girls Remix" miniseries of ''Series/KamenRiderRevice'', actually gets along with the other female Riders and even reacts positively to Sakura calling her her "big sis".
* TokenEvilTeammate: She may be a messenger of the Sword of Logos, but it's made abundantly clear since Chapter 16 is that she's capable of playing everyone like fiddles by pitting Touma against the other swordsmen to draw out the Sword of Light and into thinking that the former would end up becoming a third Calibur.
** Becomes more downplayed when she's revealed to be a AntiVillain all-along. After she learned about Isaac's motive, she does a HeelFaceTurn to defeat him and save the world from destruction.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: Uses Rintaro's ConflictingLoyalty against him to keep him shackled to the organization and "find his resolve."
* UndyingLoyalty:
** To Isaac. She has blind trust towards him and follows his orders without any questions, and is willing to kill anyone in order to achieve his goals. Subverted later on when Isaac declares her and Ryoga as having outlived their usefulness, prompting their HeelFaceTurn, especially since they're both only loyal to "Master Logos", ''not'' Issac.
** Has a more straigtforward approach towards Ryoga, where most of her decisions are going along by how Ryoga decides things, like following Ryoga's distaste towards traitors or Ryoga's ControlFreak tendencies.
* UngratefulBitch: When Ryoga is concerned. Even when Touma bails Ryoga out in Chapter 43, she still refuses to acknowledge his help towards him but instead still pickes a fight with him for what she perceives as one-upping him.
* UnreliableExpositor: With Sophia missing, Mei having taken the book that alerts for Megid activities, and the Southern Base seemingly not having any active detection system on high alert, the Northern Base members under Reika now have to rely on her to be their only info source for any ongoing incidents. That being said, she freely twists the truth to her convenience in order to make them continue clashing with Touma.
* WouldHurtAChild: Assuming her [[ShameIfSomethingHappened allusion toward Sora's safety]] was what Ogami [[ImpliedDeathThreat interpreted it as]].
** She kidnaps Luna in Chapter 35, cementing her as this.

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: ''Noroshi'''s Chemridge blade is able to cut objects at the molecular level.
* AnimalMotifs: Insects.
* CoolSword: Wields the ''Eneiken Noroshi'' Seiken, a smoke elemental [[RoyalRapier rapier]].
* DarkActionGirl: She may be a swordswoman of smoke, but she's not an ally of the good guys and is able to defeat Kamen Rider Buster and Kamen Rider Slash very skillfully.
* DistaffCounterpart: She is a female version of Kamen Rider Saber.
* FinishingMove: By pressing the Noroshi Trigger on her Seiken, Sabela can perform a variety of finishing moves.
** Eien no Hitosashi: Has two variations:
*** Sabela turns into smoke and teleports into the air, manifesting butterfly wings from her back before unleashing two Rider Slashes to the enemy.
*** Sabela turns into smoke and teleports into the air, manifesting butterfly wings from her back. She then swoops down on the enemy and delivers a powerful Rider Slash.
** Konchuu Mokumoku Giri: Sabela binds the enemy with spider silk and shocks them with electricity, before manifesting spider legs from her back and stabbing the enemy.
** Shot Insect: Sabela distracts the enemy by creating a smokescreen in front of them, before appearing behind them and delivering a spinning roundhouse Rider Kick.
* GlassCannon: Sabela is a formidable Rider thanks to her SuperSmoke ability and her numerous insect-like power that gave Northern Base's Rider a hard time to fight her. However, once her opponent manages to counter her abilities through the sheer difference in power or by anticipating her movements, she's down for the count.
* GoldColoredSuperiority: Her armor has gold accents, and she is clearly a cut above the other Riders.
* LogicalWeakness: Sabela's greatest strength comes from her SuperSmoke ability which she used as a method of confusing her enemy and escaping from any incoming attack. However, it's also a double-edged sword for her as she still need to materialize back into her solid form so any enemy with enough patience will easily knock her off from her smoke form with a precise timing.
* MeaningfulName: Her name is derived from ''szablya'', the Hungarian word for "saber", and the scientific name for the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabera_fuliginosa white-fringed swift butterfly]].
* ProjectileWebbing: Can shoot thick ropes of silk from her hands to immobilize her opponents.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Just like Blades, there was initially much debate over how her name was spelt in English due to the sheer amount of ways it could be spelt[[note]]e.g., Sabera, Sabel(l)a, Savera, even going as far as Szabla due to the elongated "Sā" at the front part of her name.[[/note]]. The TV-Asahi website eventually revealed it to be ''Sabela''.
* SpiderLimbs: Can sprout these from her back and use them as CombatTentacles.
* {{Steampunk}}: Fittingly for a user of smoke and steam, she and her sword in particular carry this aesthetic.
* SuperSmoke: Kamen Rider Sabela's main element is smoke, which allows her to [[SmokeOut turn into smoke while teleporting]], turn her body to smoke, making her [[{{Intangibility}} intangible]], and even communicate over long distances via [[Literature/HarryPotter Patronus-esque]] projections.

[[caption-width-right:250:The Swordsman of Time]]

* ADayInTheLimelight: The second half of the crossover with ''Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger'' serves as one for him, as he is given much more development, screentime, and interactions with others compared to his late appearance in his series. In fact, he and Reika are the main representatives for ''Saber'' throughout the entirety of #20 instead of Touma.
* AloofBigBrother: Downplayed; although he may seem cold due to him taking his clan duties very seriously, he is shown to still care for Reika. Reika’s POV in Sword of Logos Saga 2 indicates that he was a lot warmer prior to becoming a swordsman.
* BrotherSisterTeam: He and Reika serve as Isaac's top enforcers.
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Do not anger me!"
* CombatPragmatist: He will resort to anything to win a fight, including [[TeleportSpam abusing his chronokinesis]] and even attacking an unmorphed Rider from behind.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Odin]] and Ryoga are the personal enforcers of their respective series' villains with the power to manipulate time. While Odin was mainly gold in color and themed around the phoenix, Ryoga as Durendal is primarily dark blue and themed around aquatic animals. Unlike Odin, who was a mindless puppet of Kanzaki, Ryoga's loyalty to [[spoiler:Isaac]] is of his own free will, although he rebelled against him after the current iteration of Master Logos was exposed as a madman. In addition, Odin's only show of his time powers was his [[ResetButton Time Vent]] and would normally resort to his FlashStep, while Durandal's FlashStep ''is'' his display of his time powers. Odin is also the strongest Rider in the series by far and is a DragonInChief, while Durendal serves a stronger Rider in Solomon.
* ControlFreak: Demonstrates shades of this in Chapter 43, constantly trying to pull rank on Touma and "take command" of his mission to [[spoiler:stop Storious]]. [[NiceJobBreakingItHero The friction it causes prevents Touma and the siblings from uniting against Charybdis]], who ends up [[spoiler:bailed out by its master so they can make the Grimoire unimpeded]].
* TheComicallySerious: After his HeelFaceTurn, Ryoga gets many funny scenes whenever he interacts with comical characters like Mei.
* DefrostingIceKing: Eventually becomes more open towards Touma's allies after they treated his wounds, trying to make attempts to open up like conveying his gratitude towards them. By the time of final episode, he makes a better relationship with Rintaro and openly smiles.
* DorkKnight: He might be a badass and a no-nonsense swordsman, but Ryoga is, deep down, a ''very'' socially awkward individual, which is more prevalent after his HeelFaceTurn; this guy has trouble thanking people and barely any other means of interacting with anyone besides glowering or barking at them.
* TheDragon: He's "the swordsman closest to Master Logos" and Isaac's personal enforcer/bodyguard.
* EnemyMine: He and Reika [[spoiler:fight alongside Touma and Rintaro against Kamen Rider Solomon]] in Chapter 36, though Ryoga [[TeethClenchedTeamwork makes his distaste against 'traitors' clear]]. They also begrudgingly agree to form an alliance with Northern Base swordsmen in Chapter 39.
* {{Foil}}: To Rintaro. Both are [[TheSpock logical, analytical swordsmen]] with NoSocialSkills that [[MakingASplash wield variations of water-powers]] and serve the Sword of Logos. But while [[TheFettered Rintaro's conscience forces him]] to [[spoiler:look at ([[DefectorFromDecadence and ultimately grow sick of]]) the uglier aspects of his self-proclaimed family]], Ryoga chooses to serve the organization's darker goals with [[TheUnfettered no remorse or second-guessing whatsoever]].
** On a lighter note, Chapter 39 shows Ryoga to be quite awkward when it comes to normal social interactions, much like Rintaro used to be. Reika even blurts out how shy he really is, much to his dismay.
* GiveHimANormalLife: His POV in Sword of Logos Saga 2 shows that he wanted this for Reika, before she turned out to be TheChosenOne.
* HiddenDepths: While he was committed to executing Rintaro in Chapter 29, he allows him and Touma to have a lengthy, heart-felt conversation.
* HostageForMacGuffin: Shakes down Touma in Chapter 29 for his Ride Books and Rekka using Rintaro's life as a bargaining chip. He planned on [[spoiler:murdering the man anyway]].
* ItsPersonal: Is now gunning after Touma, after the latter [[spoiler:actually manages to land a hit on him in Chapter 32]]. He doesn't get much time to actually act on his grudge before being forced into working with the Northern Base's swordsmen.
* LawfulStupid: Serves Isaac and opposes the Northern Base Riders even as Isaac's unhinged nature becomes more apparent, simply because it's his duty to serve Master Logos and the Northern Base Riders "betrayed" the guild. He only goes against Isaac after Isaac outright renounces his duties and even then he still refuses to work with the Northern Base swordsmen at first because he views them as traitors.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: [[ZigzaggedTrope Zigzagged.]] His initial appearance shows him as a willing accomplice to Isaac's plans, even telling Reika to stop doubting her loyalty. [[spoiler:However, his loyalty actually lies with the ''title'' of Master Logos, not Isaac himself. In truth, Ryoga doesn't actually accept Isaac as worthy of the title but only tolerates it because the Shindai clan's duty is to protect the wielder of the title. The moment Isaac abandons all pretense of caring for his duty to safeguard the world, as well as his title, he was more than happy to attack him]].
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: His (and Reika's) insistence on commanding Touma in Chapter 43 prevents the trio from uniting against the Charybdis Megid [[spoiler:[[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom and allows Storious to create the Grimoire Wonder Ride Book unhindered]]]].
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Ryoga immediately [[spoiler:stabs Touma in the back with his trident upon seeing him try to flee via using a Book Gate]] and had already planned on [[spoiler:killing Rintaro]] whether Touma gave him his Books or not. Also quite literal: the man shows nothing but serious determination at all times.
* NoSocialSkills: This dork manages to somehow top both Rintaro and Tetsuo in this aspect. Whenever Touma and his friends help him, Ryoga genuinely wants to thank them, but has trouble doing so and has barely any other means of interacting with anyone, besides glowering or barking at them.
* NotSoStoic: During the crossover with ''Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger'', Ryoga gets many comical moments. It's justified due to the special being ADayInTheLimelight for him and Reika:
** When Zocks pickpockets his Wonder Ride Book, he starts to panic and freak out.
** After Reika gets kidnapped by Hikoboshi Wald, he becomes hell-bent on saving her.
** In order to lure out Hikoboshi Wald, he and the male Zenkaigers are forced to dress as women; while the Zenkaigers are enjoying it, Ryoga is the only one who shows massive signs of anger before snapping from how absurd they are.
** Even ''he himself'' is [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness terrified]] at Reika's [[MurderIsTheBestSolution acts of violence]] when someone approaches him.
* OlderThanTheyLook: His age is never outright stated but he still seems to be a fairly young man if a bit older than Reika and Touma. However in the Sabela and Durandal special he's shown to have already been a adult and experienced swordsman when Reika (who's soon to turn 25) was still a little girl suggesting he's got to be at least around Ryo's age if not older. Double so in the Trio of Deep Sin epilogue set 10 years after the show where's he's got to be well into middle age by then.
* RedIsViolent: His outfit is crimson, and he is nothing but brutal towards his enemies, as Rintaro and Touma found out the hard way. [[spoiler:[[RedIsHeroic He slowly sheds the "violent"]] once he [[EnemyMine casts his lot with Touma]].]]
* ShadowArchetype: He's basically Rintaro if he was without a shred of conscience and wholly devoted to the Sword of Logos' cause.
* ShootTheHostage: Or in this case, "Stab the Hostage"; Ryoga planned on disposing of Rintaro whether Touma complied or not. [[spoiler:Yuri manages to save Rintaro in the nick of time]].
* SixthRanger: Starting from the final arc onwards, he and Reika join forces with Touma's group to take down Isaac.
* SoreLoser: Outs himself as one in Chapter 32 when Saber [[spoiler:manages to time a counter-slash against one of Durendal's stealth attacks]]. Ryoga tries to attack Touma again despite having ''just been ordered to withdraw'' and has to be forcibly removed.
** The Shindais (primarily Ryoga) spend Chapter 43 ordering Touma around during [[spoiler:his mission to stop Storious]]. The Shindais [[spoiler:[[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom repeatedly stall the fighting with their antics]]. Instead of [[RememberThatYouTrustMe slowly learning to trust each other for the immediate moment]], the siblings remain ungrateful and controlling the whole time. This allows Charybdis to stall for time until Storious arrives to defend it, disabling the heroes and [[FromBadToWorse making the Grimoire on-the-spot]]]].
* TheStoic: The man has no expression in his body whatsoever. Subverted after his HeelFaceTurn, in which he gets many comical scenes that makes him NotSoStoic after his reforming.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Unlike Reika who willingly decides to work with Touma's team after Isaac reveals his true colors, Ryoga only does the same out of immediate necessity and that's only after he's ''pressured to''. In fact, he's immediately [[spoiler:back to opposing them the Chapter after they've all teamed up]] since Touma's people are still [[TreacheryIsASpecialKindOfEvil technically traitors to the guild]].
* TimePassageBeard: Gains a goatee alongside a moustache during the 8-year TimeSkip in ''Trio of Deep Sin''.
* {{Tsundere}}: He somewhat warms up to Touma's allies after they treated his wounds, but refuses to properly consider them his friends.
* UndyingLoyalty: Unlike Reika, Ryoga doesn't even flinch when Touma accuses Isaac of working with the Megid and refuses to believe it to be true. [[spoiler:Subverted when Isaac openly renounces his title and duty as Master Logos. As they're loyal to the position of Master Logos rather than Isaac himself, this prompts them to [[EnemyMine throw their lot with Touma]].]]
* TheUnfettered: Has no reservations about murdering someone in cold blood or reneging on agreements.
* UnwantedRescue: Ryoga clashes with Saber when the latter arrives to [[spoiler:defend him and Reika from Solomon]], not wanting his help. [[TeethClenchedTeamwork It takes convincing to get him to go with it]].
* WreckedWeapon: [[spoiler:In Chapter 46, ''Kaiji'' gets sliced in two by Diago.]] [[spoiler:It gets repaired by the Final Chapter's end.]]

Time is... time is... time is, time is, time is, time is mine to rule! Ocean History! The ocean splashes! Splash![[/note]]]]
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: While all of the Seikens are forged in literal starlight to impossible degrees of precision, ''Kaiji'' takes the cake among them for this trope as its edge sharpens with every use of its powers. Or rather, because of its temporal shielding abilities, it is ''always'' getting sharper. This ties into Durendal's MeaningfulName below, as the actual Durendal of legend was famous for never losing its edge.
* AnimalMotifs: Marine animals.
* BornLucky: ''Kaiji'''s emblem is designed to protect Ryoga by altering time to prevent him from befalling any misfortunes. Indeed, when he squares off against Touma and Yuri, all they can do is wind him out by dodging and parrying all of his finishers.
* CoolSword: Wields the Seiken ''Jikokuken Kaiji'', which can transform into a trident.
* FinishingMove: By activating the Kaiji Trigger on his Seiken, Durendal can perform a variety of finishing moves.
** Ocean Ikkoku Giri: Durendal delivers a Rider Slash with ''Kaiji'' in its sword mode, sending a massive crescent-shaped wave of energy towards the enemy.
** Ocean Sankoku Tsuki: Using his time manipulation powers, Durendal appears behind the enemy and delivers a blue energy slash with ''Kaiji'' in its trident mode.
%%** Ichiji Issen
* FlashStep: He can instantly transport him and/or others to a location of his choosing by fast-forwarding time in an area around himself.
* InTheBack: Using his TimeMaster powers to move behind his opponent and attack them from behind is practically his SignatureMove. {{Deconstructed}}, as both Touma and Rintaro realize this and develop counters for it.
* LightningBruiser: Even without his TimeMaster powers, Durendal is already a very formidable opponent, having stats that rival even Elemental Dragon. This also makes him the Rider with the strongest base form in the series.
* LogicalWeakness:
** Durendal cannot ''actually'' teleport, instead just moving normally when he pauses time, and seems to require restarting time again in order to attack. While incredibly difficult, this means anybody that is able to anticipate his movements and move quickly enough to respond would be able to fight against him more evenly.
** Since Durendal doesn't really teleport and just walks behind his enemies to attack them, he becomes a sitting duck if the enemy has an ability to disable his mobility instantly after he resumes time, like what Rintaro did to him by flash freezing the ground to encase his feet with Tategami Lion Senki's ice powers.
** He can't actually ''attack'' in frozen time, only move. Thus he has to restart time in order to attack. Thus, his attacks can still be blocked and countered.
* MakingASplash: While his element is time rather than water, his teleportation leaves behind a "splashing water" after-effect.
* MeaningfulName: He is named after the sword of the paladin Roland from Carolingian lore. Durendal was also known for never losing its edge, which is reflected in ''Kaiji'' as a blade whose edge is always getting sharper with time.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has reddish-purple eyes, and is on the villains' side.
* TimeMaster: His main element is time, which allows him to perform sneak attacks (and avoid attacks) by manipulating the flow of time.
* UnskilledButStrong: A relatively minor example: while Durendal is a skillful swordsman, he's overly reliant on using his time manipulation to attack his opponents from behind rather than diversifying his tactics. After a few rounds with him, his opponents learn to attack behind them whenever they see him start to activate it, and Durendal walks into the resulting attack ''every time''.

* ActionDad: Ryo is a single father and is part of Swords of Logos as an active swordsman, though he puts his status as the former above the latter in terms of priority. He's specifically described as "strongest swordsman and powerful parent".
* AngerBornOfWorry: Given his boisterous personality, it's no wonder that if he is worried about someone, he will probably express it by yelling at them. Typical reason is trying to be InHarmsWay too much.
* AmbiguousSituation: The status of Haruka, his wife and Sora's mother, as she has yet to be seen or mentioned in the series. It's revealed in the ''Buster'' manga that she's on an overseas business trip. She finally makes an appearance in Chapter 44 of the series.
* BerserkButton: Harm to his son Sora does not make him happy by any means, whether you are friend or foe.
* {{BFS}}: ''Gekido'' is a pretty big greatsword.
* BigBrotherMentor: Past his boisterous exterior lies a man who is clearly emotionally grounded and more than willing to give advice to others when they're in doubt.
* BlatantLies: Tells Sora at the end of Chapter 8 that ''he'' was the reason everything with the Medusa Megid worked out in the end, that ''he'' was the hero, and that ''he'' was the one who came up with the strategy to defeat the Megid. Naturally, everybody minus Sora, Sophia, and Tetsuo call him out for his bullshit.
* BroughtDownToNormal: He gets his Seiken and Wonder Ride Books stolen by Reika in Chapter 32. [[spoiler:Chapter 35 features his sword and Book returning to his possession, allowing him to fight as a Rider once again.]]
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: His wife Haruka is his ChildhoodFriend, as revealed in his manga.
* ExperiencedProtagonist: He's clearly been working as a swordsman and Kamen Rider for a while, as he delivers ''two'' {{Curb Stomp Battle}}s in his debut episode. He even mentions in his fight with Desast that it has been 15 years since they last met, which implies that Ryo has been fighting for far longer than many of his fellow Riders in the current Swords of Logos. This is confirmed in the manga spin-off, which focuses on Ryo during his high school years and showed that he first became Buster 20 years ago.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: He is the main protagonist of the spin-off manga Separate Volume Kamen Rider Saber Manga: Kamen Rider Buster which took place 20 years prior to the events of the series.
* HotBlooded: A very passionate man indeed, to the point where he's the first Rider in the series to be at odds with Touma in his debut.
* LastNameBasis: Because of his status and experience, the others refer to him as "Ogami-''san''".
* LargeHam: He can ham it up pretty well if he's showing off his strength or Sora. This even extends to his Rider form, where his Wonder Ride Book announcement is far longer than any of the other Riders barring Xross Saber.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: While Ryo definitely looks to be more fit than either Touma or Rintaro, he's most assuredly not built in the way you'd assume someone wielding a huge blade-like Gekido would be. And even further, he's capable of wielding it ''one-handed''.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: {{Averted}}. He and Daishinji both grow suspicious of Touma's [[spoiler:alleged]] betrayal very quickly, taking Yuri's warnings (and the younger Logos' anxiety) to heart. Ogami takes it further by outright talking back to Reika when it's clear she's withholding important information surrounding Isaac. He's finally convinced his "Master" is wrong when she [[spoiler:discreetly threatens Sora's safety]] and defects to Touma's side after giving him a final TrialByCombat.
* OlderAndWiser: With his experiences as a swordsman and father, he's more than capable of giving advice to others both on the battlefield and on the emotional front.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Downplayed compared to Tetsuo but as seen in the ''Swordsman Retsuden'', Ryo has not aged a day in 15 years.
* PapaWolf: Cares deeply for his son Sora, to the point where he handily beats up a Megid who kidnapped the boy. [[MeaningfulName His surname even means "wolf" in Japanese]]. [[spoiler:Reika threatening Sora is ultimately the straw that breaks the camel's back and makes Ryo go to aid Touma's side]].
* ShoutOut:
** Right off the bat, a PapaWolf warrior wandering with just his son nods to ''Manga/LoneWolfAndCub'', down to the surname Ogami.
** A Rider named Buster wielding a very large single-edged sword? Sounds a lot like [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife's]] signature weapon.
** According to the manga spinoff, he started out as [[Manga/{{Bleach}} a thuggish high school student who ends up joining a secret sword-wielding society.]]
* TakenForGranite: [[spoiler:Gets temporarily taken out of commission in Chapter 8 by forcing a Medusa Megid to turn him into stone. Thankfully, he reverts back to normal by the end of the Chapter.]]
* TrialByCombat: In response to Touma's [[spoiler:supposed]] betrayal, he and Daishinji hold nothing back against Saber to determine their true moral character. Touma eventually demonstrates enough mettle to convince Ogami he was worth chancing, though Reika [[spoiler:[[ImpliedDeathThreat using Sora as an emotional bargaining chip]]]] right before he approached Touma probably sealed the deal beforehand.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Was once good friends with Hayato before the latter's [[spoiler:alleged]] betrayal.
* WorldsBestWarrior: He's one of ''the'' strongest swordsman of the Order and it greatly shows in his debut episode, taking down two Megid in a single attack without breaking a sweat.

The colossal armored sword fractures the earth, bringing forth the might of the North![[/note]]]]
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: ''Gekido'''s Daigekizin blade, while already sharp enough, sharpens itself further every time it strikes something. Which isn't often relative to the other Seikens, but it's enough to ramp up its oppressive strength.
* AnimalMotifs: Turtles.
* {{BFS}}: Gekido is an enormous sword that dwarfs all the other swords that Buster's fellow Kamen Riders wield. And when he uses his finisher, it's grown to an even bigger size.
* TheBigGuy: Compared to all the other Kamen Riders, Buster has a larger frame, chunkier armor, and a much bigger sword befitting a more straightforward power-based fighting style.
* CoolSword: Wields the Greatsword of Earth ''Gekido''.
* DishingOutDirt: ''Gekido'' is capable of this, along with just being very powerful.
* FinishingMove: By scanning the ''Genbu Shinwa'' Wonder Ride Book into the Dogouken Gekido, he can use his finishers.
** Dai Dan Dan:
*** Genbu Shinwa: Has three variations.
*** Rock surrounds the Dogouken Gekido as Buster slashes at the enemy with a downward or horizontal slash.
*** Using a second copy, Buster performs an orange energy slash with both swords simultaneously.
*** Rocks from the surrounding gather onto Dogouken Gekido before transforming into a giant orange energy construct of the sword, which Buster uses to perform a downward orange energy slash. Buster then swings Dogouken Gekido, now in its normal state, launching a horizontal energy slash.
*** Needle Hedgehog: Buster charges the Gekido in yellow electricity and stabs the ground, thrusting a large hedgehog quill at the enemy.
** Domame Dai Dan Dan: A [[Literature/JackAndTheBeanstalk beanstalk]] grows on the Dogouken Gekido before Buster performs a downward slash, crushing the target. The beanstalk then grows in all directions to crush more targets.
** Dai Sen Dan: Vines that anchor Buster to the environment sprout out and catapult him into a charging slash.
** Unnamed Finisher
*** Bremen no Rock Band: Buster does a downward slash that sends musical notes at the enemy.
** Genbu Bakusai: Buster jumps in the air and does a flying kick.
* TheFourGods: ''Genbu Shinwa'' represents the Black Turtle of the North.
* MightyGlacier: Compared to the agile and well-rounded Saber, Blades, and Espada, Buster clearly relies on a high rate of power and defense. This is not only due to his elemental affinity, but also his Wonder Ride Book, based off a turtle, known for their own defenses...let alone a mythical one.
* SimpleYetAwesome: Buster's ''Gekido'' may only use one book at a time to transform but it can demolish enemies that gave two of his fellow Kamen Riders, who are more flexible in terms of abilities, a hard time with a single stroke.

He views strength as justice and highly respects Kento. He develops a rivalry with Touma, who is Kento's ChildhoodFriend, in the process. [[spoiler:He eventually leaves the Sword of Logos upon learning of Kento's return as the third Kamen Rider Calibur]].
!!!Tropes that apply to him in general
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ren_akamichi.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:The Swordsman of Wind]]

* AntiHero: Aside from being the most immature among the members within the Sword of Logos, and only fighting the Megid to enforce his MightMakesRight view while not caring about the civilians' status, he's more than willing to pick fights with Touma for petty reasons, ranging from Touma being Kento's ChildhoodFriend, to [[spoiler:perceiving Touma as conspiring with Kento's killers.]] As a result, he's the only member of the entire order who refuses to understand Touma's side of the story.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: He is often viewed as this by the other members of the Swords of Logos, especially in the eyes of Tetsuo and Ogami, since he is the youngest member of the crew. [[spoiler:Ultimately, this ends up being PlayedForDrama, as his immaturity leads to him making some phenomenally poor calls.]]
* BeYourself: [[spoiler:What he finally learns by fighting Desast one last time.]]
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: [[spoiler:After Kento seemingly dies he ''nosedives'' into this. In his grief, he falls into a mindset of "If you agree with anything the guy who killed Kento said, then you're a traitor too." He keeps this up even as ''the majority of the other swordsmen'' defect, including ''Kento'' himself.]]
* BloodKnight:
** Like Desast, he also seeks to enjoy a good fight, often seeing them as challenging games where he heavily believes MightMakesRight to the point that [[DumbMuscle having the strength and fighting is all he ever thinks about]]. He even gives Desast his thanks for giving him an enjoyable duel.
** After wailing on Touma in Chapter 16 and only being stopped by Yuri/Saikou ripping the entire Sword of Logos to shreds in one swoop, he gets ''furious'' and tries to go right back to assaulting Touma, only to be dragged away in a screaming fit.
--->'''Ren:''' Hey, I'm not done with you yet!
--->''(Ogami and Daishinji grab him)''
--->What do you think [[EveryoneHasStandards you're]] doing?! ''Let me go!''
** The same episode also has him overlap this trope with LeeroyJenkins by ''transforming and attacking an untransformed Touma'' in the middle of a heated discussion, stopped at a hair's length by Brave Dragon's [[MadeOfIndestructium Guard Binding]]. When Touma is forced to defend himself, he eventually charges up a finisher and goes for an actual killing blow that would've instead [[TakingTheBullet hit Mei]] had Yuri not intervened.
* BreakTheBadass: Most of his beef with Touma [[spoiler:following Reika's claims of him being a traitor]] comes from the fact that he's still taking [[spoiler:Kento's seeming death]] poorly. [[spoiler:Following Touma's "betrayal" and the idea he may be conspiring with the Megid, Ren is willing to fight him without getting the full story, much to the rest of the Sword of Logos members' dismay.]]
* BreakTheHaughty: He is shown as cheerful and go-lucky, but a self-righteous, and prideful individual, obsessed with nothing but his strength, emerging victorious, and Kento. [[spoiler:The majority of these personality traits are immediately ''shattered'' by Kento himself after he defeats him in combat and seals his Seiken]].
* BroughtDownToNormal: He gets half of his Seiken sealed by Calibur in Chapter 28; while he can still transform, his powers are greatly reduced. [[spoiler:Chapter 35 sees this sealing get undone, allowing the lad to fight at full strength once again.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: Lampshaded. Ren's [[MightMakesRight dogged pursuit of power]] has alienated him from just about everyone. Touma outright calls him out on his single-mindedness in Chapter 37 after [[CurbStompBattle he wins their duel]]. [[ShutUpKirk Ren seemingly ignores the message]], but later Chapters demonstrate that it stuck with him unconsciously - His "search for true strength" (and his constant refusal to join his friends) is fueled by [[JourneyToFindOneself his own determination now]] instead of simply surpassing anyone in particular. [[spoiler:He eventually realizes that he has to [[BeYourself be himself]] without constantly idolizing or following other's path regarding strength, something that he learns during his final battle against Desast.]]
* DumbMuscle: Subverted, but later painfully played straight by the second arc onwards. Strength and fighting is all he ever thinks (and cares) about, to the point that he won't listen to anyone unless they make it a challenge for him. However, it's shown later on that he does have a logical side to himself, as seen in Chapter 12 where he points out that the columns could be a trap. Chapter 16 demonstrates his simple-minded attitude again when he's skipped over while Reika is [[spoiler:manipulating the Sword of Logos into fighting Touma]], suggesting that [[IrrationalHatred she may not have even tried.]]
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Downplayed. Despite starting out as a loyal ally, Ren's chronic adherence to MightMakesRight and his refusal to acknowledge [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt the gravity]] of [[TheConspiracy the situation around him]] has caused him to make a number of irrational choices that have kept him barred from his friends. They haven't outright shunned him however - attempts are consistently made to get through to him.
* GreenEyedMonster: A mild version. He sparks a rivalry with Touma because of his deep admiration for Kento. Also funny, given his color.
* HazyFeelTurn: [[spoiler:After getting beaten by Kento, he goes off on his own and eventually allows [[BloodKnight Desast]] to throw his lot in with him. While he isn't evil ''yet'', he's working off his own goals now instead of playing for any side. He eventually rejoins the other heroes.]]
* HeroicBSOD: His attempts to [[spoiler:reunite with Kento]] in Chapter 28 do not go well and [[spoiler:get his blade sealed by Calibur]] instead. After [[spoiler:Touma intervenes]], all Ren can do is wander off in disarray.
** [[spoiler:He goes through another brief one after throwing another tantrum over how weak he is; once Desast decides to actually kill him, Ren is absolutely terrified over dying to the point of attempting to run away from the hybrid Megid. Thankfully, he manages to get a HeroicSecondWind and continue fighting.]]
** After learning [[spoiler:Kento is alive as the new Calibur]], he leaves to confront him in Chapter 28. Ren is left in [[HeroicBSOD a state of absolute shock and dismay]] after [[spoiler:Kento not only turns on him but seals half of his Seiken]].
* InsaneTrollLogic: His only reason for labelling Touma as an enemy was the fact that his words came from [[spoiler:Daichi, who supposedly killed Kento]]. [[BerserkButton That was all that he needed to hear]].
-->'''Ren:''' If you're actually gonna believe him, then you're as much of a traitor as he was! I'm gonna kick your butt!
* {{Jerkass}}: In reality, Ren doesn't care about the safety of the people he's supposed to protect. This is shown when even if a Megid or two is around, Ren chooses to fight Touma due to a personal grudge. In one case when it's explained that the people inside a Megid will die if it's destroyed improperly, he still rushes at it ready to deliver a killing blow.
* JerkassToOne: Due to their rivalry over Kento's friendship, he was initially more of a jerk towards Touma compared to others, but they soon sorted out their rivalry. That was, however, until Touma was labelled as a traitor by Reika, which prompted Ren as the only member of the SOL who doesn't want to understand and reason with Touma whatsoever. Whenever they would interact with each other, he would often attack him and ignore the safety of civilians that he's supposed to protect.
* {{Keet}}: Acts quite cheery and energetic for someone that acts as a "rival" to the main Rider, although it gets shown that he does drop the cheeriness when the situation gets serious.
* LeeroyJenkins: When he and the rest of Sword of Logos try and persuade Touma to relinquish his Wonder Ride Book, he naturally ends up the one to lose his patience and escalate it into an actual fight.
* MightMakesRight: Firmly believes that strength itself is justice. Chapter 36 reveals that it was his mentor who drilled this mantra into him. It eventually gets {{Deconstructed}} by Touma in Chapter 37. Sadly, the lad ignores the message...[[CharacterDevelopment or so it seemed.]]
* MirrorCharacter: He is a BloodKnight who values strength above all else, much like Desast. [[spoiler:During the final arc, both are revealed to be DesperatelySeekingAPurposeInLife, which comes to a close in Chapter 43. In fact, TheStinger for that episode showed Ren eating ramen with red pickled ginger, making him akin to a moral human version of his deceased friend and rival.]]
* OddFriendship: Despite the two of them denying it to the end, [[spoiler:Ren eventually comes to respect Desast as a companion, as the two are both {{Blood Knight}}s trying to find purpose in their lives through fighting, to the point that he chooses to help Desast die with some dignity by fighting him with his full strength.]]
* PerpetualFrowner: Becomes more morose and sullen [[spoiler:after Kento got allegedly sealed in ''Kurayami'']], which only worsens [[spoiler:after believing Touma to be a "traitor" to the Sword of Logos.]] Starting from Chapter 28, he's less joyful since [[spoiler:Kento has sealed his sword]].
* PerpetualSmiler: He has a cheery smile on his face to the point of DissonantSerenity, even when injured in battle or insulting people. Serious harm to his fellow swordsmen, e.g., Ogami being petrified by Medusa, does get to him, though.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Kento approaches Ren in Chapter 39 after [[spoiler:making his own HeelFaceTurn]] and encourages Ren to come home. Ren refuses, citing his "[[JourneyToFindOneself search for true strength]]."
* TheRival: Views Touma/Saber as this. While it may seem that Ren got over it pretty quickly, Touma being accused as a traitor as well as the misconception of "agreeing" with Calibur's words as places him on negative terms with Ren again.
** Desast later becomes one to him. Despite both saying otherwise, he is more like a FriendlyEnemy to Ren; in fact, they mostly hang out with each other whenever they are not growing stronger.
* SeekingUltimateStrength: Ren Akamichi is the immature upstart among the seasoned warriors that make up the Sword Of Logos. Compared to his fellow Riders (who want to protect people), Ren is a BloodKnight only focused on gaining power; being unconcerned with civilians caught in the crossfire of his clashes and his single-minded pettiness towards Touma during the latter's FrameUp preventing him from being savvy to [[spoiler: Issac and Reika's manipulation]]. He spends all of the show's second act picking fights while being egged on by the pseudo-Megid Desast, who enables his BloodKnight tendencies. This causes him no end of grief and loss as everyone else's priorities go beyond power grabs while he socially stagnates; [[spoiler: Kento (the man Ren looked up to like a big brother) even sealing his Seiken during his own single-minded crusade to prevent a BadFuture]]. He ''does'' eventually get better.
* SelectiveObliviousness: Taken to maddening heights during the Betrayal Arc. What started off as a refusal to hear Touma's side of the story devolved into utter denial after [[spoiler:Kento was resurrected and sealed half of his Seiken]]. Even acknoledging that Master Logos is his true enemy doesn't make him gravitate to his friends; he pushes them further away. Ren's MightMakesRight philosophy has practically become a MadnessMantra, even as it proves to be his undoing against foes time and again. His self-conditioning is so deep that losing to Touma in Chapter 37 doesn't [[spoiler:convince him of his stubbornness like intended; rather, it only makes him deny it more...or so he thought.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: [[spoiler:Seemingly undergoes this after learning his lesson from his final fight with Desast, he begins to treat his teammates who aren't Kento better, being concerned with Daishinji's wounds.]]
* TragicKeepsake: [[spoiler:Following Desast's death, Ren takes his red scarf, the ''Mumeiken Kyomu'', the ''Eternal Phoenix'' Wonder Ride Book, and his broken Alter Ride Book as mementos of his fallen friendly rival. The last item becomes essential for the final battle against Storious.]]
* WildCard: After leaving the guild, Ren goes out completely on his own and occasionally tries to duel the other swordsmen in order to prove his own strength. He eventually throws his lot in with Desast, the other WildCard in the show.

Twin Sword of Wind, Hayate! Scroll of Hayate: the twin blades of the Koka winds strike their foes with techniques of divine speed![[/note]]]]
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: ''Hayate'''s Fuunzin blade (more specifically the half with the lights and scanner) is already pretty sharp as a ninja sword/shuriken hybrid, but it also gets lighter and sharper ''just for cutting through the air.'' Because of Ren's prowess and Kenzan's main motif, this happens often enough that it might as well be constant.
* BlowYouAway: Uses the Twin Sword of Wind ''Hayate'' for powerful cyclone attacks.
* ConfusionFu: Being a ninja, this is his way of fighting.
* CoolSword: While this is true of the whole Order, Ren is a special case given that his Seiken, the Twin Sword of Wind ''Hayate'', can change into a shuriken, and can further split to form dual swords.
* DualWielding: ''Hayate'' can not only change into a giant shuriken but also split to create two medium-sized ninjato-like blades.
* FinishingMove: When he scans a book in his sword, Kenzan can perform different attacks with his sword.
** Fuusoken Hayate
*** Ittoryu Mode:
*** Shippu Kenbu: Ichiren
*** [[Literature/TheThreeLittlePigs Kobuta 3Kyodai]]: Kenzan summons apparitions of the three little pigs that quickly build 3 brick walls surround the enemy while Kenzan running around the wall to confuse the said enemy. Kenzan then delivers a surprise attack on the enemy after hiding behind one of those walls.
*** Sarutobi Ninjaden: Kenzan charges the Fuusouken Hayate with lime green energy, then delivers green and yellow horizontal slash to the enemy.
*** Tri-Cerberus: Kenzan charges his sword in electricity, delivers a slash that summons Tri-Cerberus.
*** Shippu Kenbu: Itton
*** Kobuta 3Kyodai: Kenzan splits into three clones with different shields, before delivering a series of slashes and kicks at the enemy.
*** Nittoryu Mode
*** Shippu Kenbu: Niren
*** Sarutobi Ninjaden: Kenzan charges the Fuusouken Hayate with lime green energy, followed by a light-green cyclone surrounds him, he then slashes the enemy multiple times, before delivering a surprise X-shaped slash to the enemy after hiding behind them.
*** Unnamed Finisher
*** Jackun-do-Domamenoki: Kenzan charges the Fuusoken Hayte in lime green energy, and sends a vine-like tornado at the enemy.
*** Shippu Kenbu: Ikazuchiren: Kenzan scans the Lamp do Alagina Wonder Ride Book, and changes the Hayate in green lightning energy, and does a number energy slashed at the enemy, and then stabs the enemy and pulls out his sword, causing them to explode. Done alongside Espada.
*** Shuriken Mode:
*** Shippu Kenbu: Kaiten
*** Sarutobi Ninjaden: Has two variations.
*** A green tornado surrounds Kenzan before he throws the Fuusouken Hayate at the enemy. The weapon then multiplies into several green-energy shurikens to attack said enemy. While the enemy is getting distracted by the shuriken projections, Kenzan then performs a spinning downward slash to finish the enemy off, surrounded by a light-green cyclone.
*** Kenzan delivers a cyclone to the enemy.
*** Kenzan throws the ''Fuusoken Hayate'', which turns into green energy shurikens.
*** Kenzan launches a large green energy shuriken at the enemy in green wind energy.
*** Shippu Kenbu: Kuruton: Kenzan throws Fuusouken Hayate in its Shuriken mode, which deflects an enemy's attack before spawning two green energy copies of itself. The two copies then fly into the enemy while spinning like saws.
*** All Modes:
*** Shippu Kenbu: Santon
*** After duplicating himself prior, each Kenzan clone orients the Fuusouken Hayate in each of its modes to finish the target. The Kenzan wielding the Fuusouken Hayate in Shuriken Mode takes to the air, and creates and energy tornado to launch a volley of green energy shurikens indiscriminately. The other two jump a shorter distance into the air with both performing a green energy slash.
** Mumeiken Kyomu:
*** Mugen Ittotsu: Kenzan can scan a Wonder Ride Book or Alter Ride Book, doing an attack base on the book.
*** ''Desast'' Alter Ride Book:
*** Calamity Strike: Kenzan scans the Desast Alter Ride Book, which summons multiple copies of the Grudge Dent covered in Reddish energy. Kenzan grabs one of the swords and dashes toward the enemy at high speeds before delivering an arrow-shaped green energy slash. He continues to perform more slashes, replacing his held Grudge Dent with other copies as he goes. Eventually, Desast's spirit appears as well and performs purple energy slashes of his own. Finally, Kenzan performs his own version of Desast's original Calamity Strike attack, spinning his body in the air while surrounded by green wind. At the same, Desast performs the normal version of his Calamity Strike. The two attacks reach the enemy at the same time as Kenzan and Desast slash the opponent.
* FragileSpeedster: Stat-wise, Kenzan is the fastest among the heroic Riders, only rivalling Calibur in terms of speed. He also has a wide array of ninja skills thanks to his Wonder Ride Book.
* FuumaShuriken: His twin swords can be attached together to form a giant shuriken.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Kenzan's armor pieces are colored in bright green.
* InstantAwesomeJustAddNinja: While it shouldn't be a surprise given his primary Wonder Ride Book ''Sarutobi Ninja Den'', Kenzan's appearance is quite similar to a ninja as well as a knight. This actually bleeds into his use of other Ride Books, when Buta-3 summons flipping secret walls, and later gives Kenzan [[MesACrowd Bunshin no Jutsu.]]
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Has one, which is fitting for a ninja.
* WindIsGreen: His main element is wind, and the dominant color of his armor is green.

* BadLiar: When Touma is pressing him for forbidden information on Avalon that he can crunch to figure out how to unseal Rekka before Ren takes care of the concurrent Piranha Megid problem, Tetsuo tries to deny its existence... by using [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial overly-specific language]] that makes it completely obvious he's hiding something. 664* BrutalHonesty: He is incredibly straightforward and minces no words about the situation at hand.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: He's rather odd when it comes to maintaining the swords (such as saying he can hear the Seikens' weeping) and has terrible social skills but he's clearly competent at his job.

While all of them are serious and devoted of the job, Tetsuo is ''utterly'' dedicated to making sure that the mission at hand is done thoroughly and completely without fail, social nuances be damned. He also operates with even less social skills than Rintaro.
* TheDreaded: PlayedForLaughs. Yuri often sees him as this and whenever Tetsuo decides to examine or have physical contact towards him, Yuri reacts with fear.
* EyesAlwaysAverted: Has a habit of avoiding eye contact when talking to people -- to the point of holding a hand or other object up to block the view -- especially when he's trying to lie to them. He doesn't do it when he gets serious or with people who have gained his respect and trust.
* GoodIsNotSoft: One of the Guild's most upstanding members and the most abrasive and irritable among the swordsmen. He devotes his whole existence to Guild's cause in line with his family tradition but avoids blind obedience like Rintaro or Ren.
* LargeHam: Becomes this upon activating ''[[Literature/TheBremenTownMusicians Bremen no Rock Band]]'', which gives him an attitude akin to a rock band musician.
* LastNameBasis: Most of the others just simply refer to him as "Daishinji-''san''" due to his age and experience.
* LegacyOfService: His family has served as blacksmiths to the Sword of Logos for generations.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Has long hair and is quite the good-looking man to boot.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Averted. He and Ogami both grow suspicious of Touma's alleged betrayal very quickly, taking Yuri's warnings (and the younger Logos' anxiety) to-heart. Once Touma passes his TrialByCombat and demonstrates the potential to be the wielder [[spoiler:his grandfather foretold would bring out Rekka's true potential]], he flocks to Touma's side immediately.
* NoSocialSkills: He's extremely straightforward and awkward towards people due to his reclusive behavior. When he does address the others, he often comes off as rude because of his lack of nuance. Because of his age and experience, however, the others really don't seem to care.
* NotSoStoic: His ability to maintain an annoyed, rock-hard composure might be impacted by lying or getting overly invested in his work and passion. Having a great desire to examine the Sword of Light caused him to completely lose his mind when the opportunity finally presented itself. Needless to say, Yuri was less than thrilled both to be studied and chased around the room by an overly giddy swordsmith.
** On a serious note, there are a few things that get more than just a stern and curt response from him, precisely when someone doesn't want to accept that losing a fight or even a life is sometimes inevitable or is not laying their whole mind, body and soul into the sword when fighting.
* OlderThanTheyLook: While he looks like a man in his early 20s, Tetsuo is in implied to be at least 30 as he fought in the battle with the Megid 15 years ago and has not aged a day. Ogami even refers to himself and Tetsuo as veterans.
* OnlySaneMan: Along with resident sane man Rintaro, Tetsuo serves as this, calling the others out for their behavior.
* TheSmartGuy: The blacksmith of the Sword of Logos, who occasionally assists the heroes with his knowledge of the Sacred Swords and Wonder Ride Books.
* SpannerInTheWorks: His SuperHearing allows him to detect the humans inside the new Megids, allowing him to convince everyone that Touma was telling the truth. [[spoiler:Ultimately he's the catalyst for the Northern team BreakingTheFellowship, while Reika escalates the conflict by turning into Kamen Rider Sabela.]]
* TheStoic: His basic settings are annoyance because of the swords or their wielders or calm concentration. He only freaks out when Touma starts to question him. Rintaro chalks it up to his bashfulness around people. Granted, he is blunter than Rintaro himself in a deliberately rude fashion, entirely unconcerned by social niceties and just goes straight to the point.
* SuperHearing: Claims to be able to hear the Seikens' "weeping" or whenever they require maintenance. It makes sense considering he's the Swordsman of Sound. He proves it in his debut, as he is able to hear an invisible enemy try to attack him from behind and quickly sidesteps the attack.
* TallDarkAndHandsome: His actor is one of the tallest members of the cast standing 1.87m (around 6'2) and is very attractive with long hair.
* TheWorfEffect: Despite him and Ryo being the most senior members of the Northern team, Sabela beats them both ''at the same time.''
* TrialByCombat: In response to Touma's [[spoiler:supposed]] betrayal, he and Ogami hold nothing back against Saber to determine their true moral character. Touma fails his first duel against Daishinji due to over-relying on the Ride Books, but their second duel convinces Daishinji that Touma is [[spoiler:the one his grandfather told him to follow to release ''Rekka''[='=]s full power]]. Satisfied, Daishinji defects.

!!!Tropes exclusive to him as Kamen Rider Slash

No! Go! Go! With the gun! Bang! Bang! Suzune, the Gun-sword of Sound! Movement of Suzune! The sugary enchanted gun-sword slices and dices by the beat of the sweet rhythm![[/note]]]]
* AgentPeacock: His Rider form is the most flamboyant out of the current Riders, but he's no less competent at the job.
* BrownNote: A self-inflicted case. The official explanation for Slash's personality changing while in Hansel Bremen is due to the gauntlet blasting hypnotizing rock music up into his helmet whenever it's active.
* CoolSword: Much like ''Hayate'', ''Suzune'', the Gun-Sword of Sound, is capable of changing forms though unlike the former, the much smaller blade is able to become a gun, giving Slash the ability to attack at the range without needing a Wonder Ride Book or form change to do so.
* FinishingMove: Slash can use different finishers depending on the sword mode.
** Sword Board mode: When Slash scans a book in his sword, he can do a slash.
*** Snack Sound the Chopper:
*** Hanselnuts to Gretel: has three variations.
*** Slash charges the ''Onjuuken Suzune'' with pink energy, before cutting the enemy. Snacks and assorted treats come out of the energy as he does this. An apparition of his face explodes on the enemy before they themselves explode.
*** Slash charges ''Onjuuken Suzune'' with pink energy, before cutting the enemy to produce melted candy energy that binds the enemy's lower body. Slash then walks in front of his enemy, delivers a downward cut to them. An apparition of his face explodes on the enemy before they themselves explode.
*** Slash leaps into the air and drops down with a flying kicking attack.
*** [[Literature/TheBremenTownMusicians Bremen no Rock Band]]: Slash charges the ''Onjuuken Suzune'' with energy music lines, before he launches multiple cuts at the enemy, leaves a sound wave upon impact.
*** Iron Shout: Slash rapidly cuts at the enemy with ''Suzune'', which is covered with rainbow music lines, causing the enemy to explode.
*** Unnamed Finisher: has two variations.
*** Slash summons two copies of himself, with a different shield on the arm.
*** Slash does a downward slash that sends a pile of bricks in pink energy.
** Gun Play mode:
*** Guns and Music: has three variations.
*** Slash charges the ''Onjuuken Suzune'' with energy music lines before he fires a blast of colorful energy that can dispel negative effects on enemies.
*** Slash fires a salvo of Suzune Bullets that appear to home in on the enemy.
*** Slash shoots out a music staff that fences any nearby enemies within itself. As Slash yells, the staff then amplifies his voice to destroy any enemies that got fenced in.
*** Beat Lollipopper: Slash fires a series of cyan energy blasts, with an image of Slash's mask appearing in front of Onjuuken Suzune's during each shot. The blasts then fly through rings of multicolored energy musical notes.
* MakeSomeNoise: ''Suzune''[='=]s element is sound itself, which Slash can use in battle. Its strength is also dependent on the type of tones playing through it, which changes the sharpness of its Senritsuzen blade. His secondary Ride Book ''Bremen no Rock Band'' counts as well.
* RealMenWearPink: Courtesy of his primary Wonder Ride Book ''Hanselnuts to Gretel''. Not only is his armor a bright candy-like color, he even has accents that look suspiciously like candy drops as well. The lines along his armor could be considered frosting too.
* ReforgedBlade: During his debut, it was stated that ''Suzune'' had been damaged and he had to repair it to become Slash again.
* ShouldersOfDoom: Based on the GingerbreadHouse from ''[[Literature/HanselAndGretel Hanselnuts to Gretel]]'', Slash's shoulder armor are unusually large and adorned with armor panels that look like checkerboard cookies.
* SpeechBubble: Slash’s visor is an incredibly dynamic-looking speech bubble.
* SplitPersonality: When using ''Bremen no Rock Band'', his personality changes from a serious, no-nonsense warrior to a LargeHam who throws out tons of sound-based {{Pun}}s for some reason.
* StylishProtectionGear: Slash's armor is based on the GingerbreadHouse from ''[[Literature/HanselAndGretel Hanselnuts to Gretel]]'', whilst also looking like a giant turtleneck sweater that is unzipped from the bottom.

* MakingASplash: Like Rintaro, he also had a mastery over water thanks to ''Nagare''.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: He was Rintaro's mentor prior to being killed by Zooous.
* ParentalSubstitute: Given that Rintaro considers the Sword of Logos his family since he was orphaned as a child, it is heavily implied that Kenshin was the closest thing he had to a father, [[YouKilledMyFather making his animosity towards Zooous all the more personal]].

[[caption-width-right:250:The First Swordsman of Darkness]]

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Daichi ''claims'' he did indeed betray the Sword of Logos, but due to Daichi stealing the powers of Kamen Rider Calibur and Hayato's unknown reasons or even current whereabouts, it remains to be seen if he is truly villainous.
** A flashback from Ryo in “Behind Chapter 13” shows that at the very least, Hayato did fight with Kamijo, before fleeing.
** It is eventually revealed that he was manipulated into trying to obtain the Almighty Book after he was told it was to save the world.
* AmbiguousSituation: Initially, it is unclear whether or not Hayato really did betray the Sword of Logos and caused the events from 15 years ago, and there was little evidence to support Kamijo's claims given that his association with the Megid and his current actions. Kamijo does eventually come clean to Touma by revealing that Hayato was corrupted by a traitor within the Sword of Logos, a claim that's becoming more credible with Reika's actions.
** It is eventually revealed that he was manipulated by Isaac into trying to open the book of omniscience after he was told it was to save the world.
* TheAtoner: He now seeks to redeem himself by working alongside Tassel.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: For the ''Sword of Logos'' saga special, as it just as much fleshes him out as it does Daichi.
* DisappearedDad: After his powers were stolen, he suddenly disappeared while the second Calibur framed him.
* EvilAllAlong: Kamijo confirms that it was Hayato who was responsible for the events from 15 years ago. That being said, Kamijo also states that Hayato was corrupted by someone within the Sword of Logos, so it's more of a case of FaceHeelTurn.
* FaceHeelTurn: Kamijo believes that Hayato fell sway to a traitor within the Sword of Logos, leading to him betraying his fellow Riders and starting the events that would shape Touma's future. The truth is far more complicated than that, with the traitor being Master Logos himself.
* FatalFlaw: Trusting authority figures over his comrades. Had he confided in his fellow swordsmen about his visions of a BadFuture, it's likely that Isaac might not have been able to manipulate him.
* FrameUp: He's initially believed to be the one beneath Calibur's helm for a good while, though no one is aware that it's Kamjio until Touma and Kento force him out of his transformation. It's eventually subverted when Kamijo confirms to Touma that Hayato was indeed guilty of causing the events from 15 years ago.
* GoodParents: He was a caring father Kento, who remembers him as a good dad in spite of his betrayal. In fact, part of the reason he turned was because Isaac preyed on his [[PapaWolf paternal instinct]].
* NotQuiteDead: Chapter 38 reveals that Hayato is the Bird that informed Yuri of Tassel's situation in Chapter 32, the latter having saved him 15 years ago.
* PosthumousCharacter: He is assumed to have disappeared, when in reality he has been dead for 15 years, with Kamijo having been the one to kill him. Come Chapter 38 and [[SubvertedTrope it's revealed Tassel saved him, though he's now stuck as a bird.]]
* ProtagonistJourneyToVillain: The Sword of Logos Saga shows how he went from an idealistic swordsmen to brooding and extremist BlackKnight.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: It's more death equals redemption, but by the time he comes back as a bird he's returned to the light.
* SanitySlippage: While Kurayami’s visions left Kento an EmptyShell, those exact same visions of a coming apocalypse rendered his father crazy.
* UncertainDoom: It was initially believed that Hayato disappeared after the events from 15 years ago. It isn't until Chapter 15 when Kamijo reveals he killed Hayato himself. And then Chapter 38 further reveals that he's still alive, having been saved by Tassel.
* UnwittingPawn: Is one to Isaac/Master Logos, with the latter manipulating Hayato into betraying the Order and kidnapping Luna, all for his own purpose.
* VillainousLegacy: Him setting loose the Megid and sealing Luna set in motion the entire plot.
* WalkingSpoiler: The fact that he is not the same Calibur in the present more or less changes everything we seemingly knew of him.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Hayato betrayed the Sword of Logos and started the events from 15 years ago in order to reach the Table of Revelations, which he believed would allow him to save the world. With the revelation that he was manipulated by Isaac, he might not have even thought of it as a betrayal to the organization due to being ordered by its head.
