Examples of BigOlEyebrows in anime and manga.
----

* Mai Minase of ''Anime/DotHackLiminality'' is another female example, though it's rarely mentioned in the [=OVAs=].
* The "ideal" female lead in ''Manga/AILoveYou'' has prominent eyebrows because [[AuthorAppeal the author finds them attractive]].
* Sumi from ''Manga/AhMyBuddha'' qualifies as an exceptional case of bushy eyebrows.
* Commander Erwin Smith from ''Manga/AttackOnTitan''.
* Guts and Azan of ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'' have these.
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'': Yamamoto's are hanging off the side of his face.
* ''Manga/BlueExorcist'' has Kamiki Izumo, whose nickname in-series (and among the fandom) is "Eyebrows". Amaimon also has them.
* Miho Jufuku from ''Manga/ACertainScientificRailgun'' has these. After her boyfriend dumped her, saying her eyebrows were ugly, she decided to knock other girls out and do FaceDoodling to give them eyebrows like hers. She seems to have [[LesYay fallen for Saten]] after Saten said her eyebrows were unique and cute.
* While none of the characters you'd expect to see in such an [[WorldOfHam over the top]] anime have big eyebrows, ''Anime/CodeGeass'' gives us ''Kyoshiro Todoh, [[TheComicallySerious of all people]]'', who seems to be the spiritual success or to Treize and Dorothy of ''Wing'' when it comes to the forked variation. Given, they're both ''Sunrise'' series... Charles, meanwhile, does not have overly huge ones, but impressive, nonetheless. Suzaku's are also a bit thick, in a charming way.
* Shinnosuke in ''Manga/CrayonShinChan'' has some impressive eyebrows for his age (5 years.)
* A common trait of male characters created by Creator/GoNagai, including [[http://mazinger.wikia.com/wiki/Koji_Kabuto_%28Disambiguation%29 Koji Kabuto]] of ''Anime/MazingerZ'' and [[http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/gonagai/images/1/15/Amon-Devilman4.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120527151810 Akira Fudo]] of ''Manga/{{Devilman}}''.
* ''Anime/DiGiCharat'' features a strange blue onion-headed man whose BigOlEyebrows are most visible in his usual explosive moods.
* ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' has some [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c2/92/f2/c292f2363b73617a33e2e1d794c5875e.jpg truly bushy angular eyebrows]] on Goku and the rest of the male cast, which due to the artstyle are literally connected to their eyes whenever they are [[DeathGlare glaring]] at someone.
* Benkate from ''Manga/EtCetera'' has bushy eyebrows.
* The Puchuus from ''Anime/ExcelSaga'' develop these when hit as well as an over-the-top angry {{Gonk}} face.
* [[http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120331055029/fairytail/images/c/c8/Yuka_X791_Avatar.jpg Yuka Suzuki]] from ''Manga/FairyTail'' has eyebrows that could eat [[Anime/{{FLCL}} Amarao's]] for breakfast.
* Kenshiro, the protagonist of ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'', of which nearly every related parody seems obligated to use his eyebrows.
* Amarao from ''Anime/{{FLCL}}'' takes this to ridiculous extremes with his prosthetic OddlyVisibleEyebrows, which is visually made out of digitally-rendered ''nori'' seaweed sheets. The fact that they're fakes only serves to emphasize his immaturity, as his actual eyebrows are very tiny.
** Amarao also gives a pair to Naota to wear as protection. Of course, they don't last long.
* Some of the characters from ''Anime/FutureGPXCyberFormula'' have these, but the clearest examples are Randoll and Johji.
* Creator/KenIshikawa, a close friend of Go Nagai, also borrowed some pages from the same book. Just look at this image of [[http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/547/668/5ab.png Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin, and Benkei Kurama]] from ''Manga/GetterRobo Armageddon''.
* Hyouma and Gaia from the wolf arc of the ''Manga/GingaNagareboshiGin'' manga. And these are ''wolves'' we are talking about here.
* ''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'':
** [[{{Tsundere}} England]], as they make him look more like a gentleman. His brothers share the eyebrows, and some of his colonies have them too. Australia and New Zealand have pairs as impressive as England's, and it's passed down to the Australian micronations (Hutt River and Wy) too. Hong Kong was supposedly cursed to get the brows.
** Nonetheless, there are nations that have thick eyebrows yet are not linked to Britain: [[HotBlooded Cuba]], [[{{Keet}} Korea]], [[BoisterousBruiser Turkey]], [[ThePhilosopher Greece]], Ancient Rome, Denmark, Ecuador and [[http://www.hetarchive.net/images/plog-content/images/himaruya-art/color-sketches/10-01-22-nonosiru.jpg sometimes Russia]]. India has noticeably thick eyebrows as well, but it's unknown whether it's an effect of him being a British colony or simply because he's Indian.
* Aur the malevolent VillainProtagonist from ''Literature/HowToBuildADungeonBookOfTheDemonKing'' sports quite the pair in the Manga version. This is a diversion from the novel art, where he had NoBrows at all.
* ''Manga/IThinkOurSonIsGay'': It's not always obvious due to the art style, but Hiroki's are large enough for other characters to notice that his eyebrows get bedhead.
* ''Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure'': Pretty much a lot of the male characters possess these, with a notable example being those of Robert E.O. Speedwagon.
* ''Manga/KOn'':
** Mugi is an exceptional case of a ''girl'' with noticeable eyebrows, which apparently run in the family (although her eyebrows are more potato-wedge shaped than they are bushy...).
** When Azusa imagines a more determined Yui, she imagines her with thick black eyebrows fixed in an angry position. In the background of her fantasy, the other members of the band each sport a pair as well[[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/determined_eyebrows_305.bmp .]]
** In the 'Final' episode they're pickled radishes. At least, in Yui's fever-dream.
* [[Myth/NorseMythology Baldr]] of ''VisualNovel/KamigamiNoAsobi'', in a [[LongHairedPrettyBoy charming]], {{Bishonen}} way.
* Tsubame Mizusaki from ''Manga/KeepYourHandsOffEizouken'' Made all the more notable by the fact that she looks like a conventionally cute anime character in a cast that pointedly averts GenericCuteness.
* Many characters in ''Manga/KenichiTheMightiestDisciple'' have large eyebrows.
* Satsuki Kiryuin from ''Anime/KillLaKill'' - or, as Ryuko refers to her, the "[[PerpetualFrowner perpetually frowning]], caterpillar-eyebrowed bitch." She inherited them from her mother Ragyo, who also has sizable eyebrows.
* Kianu in ''Manga/{{Kimera}}''.
* Hajime Kindaichi in ''Manga/TheKindaichiCaseFiles''. It's the only trait he inherits from his [[InvisibleParents rarely-seen father]].
* Aoi Inuyama from ''Manga/LaidBackCamp'' has ones that makes her the only person with OddlyVisibleEyebrows.
* Just about every male character in ''Manga/LoneWolfAndCub'' except Daigoro has them. Itto's are positively Groucho-like.
* Klan Klein in ''Anime/MacrossFrontier'' is female, and when she's her natural 30 feet tall her eyebrows are normal, but when ''micronized'' down to her peculiar SleepModeSize four-and-a-half feet, her eyebrows are relatively gigantic.
* Yuki Yoshioka from ''Manga/{{Mitsudomoe}}'' has an extremely noticeable pair. Nobody really draws attention to them, but they draw more than enough attention to themselves.
* Lu Anon from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamAGE'' has noticeably thicker eyebrows than most of the other characters in the series.
* RichBitch Dorothy Catalonia from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing'' had strange, long, ''double-tufted'' eyebrows. Her cousin Treize has a slightly toned-down version of the same thing. Dorothy's eyebrows are seen by many fans as one of her defining traits, to the point of becoming a RunningGag; one official {{Yonkoma}} actually has her using them to imitate various Gundams' forehead crests, and there is at least one doujin where they turned into hands.
* Suletta Mercury, protagonist of ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamTheWitchFromMercury'', has short, thick, oval-shaped eyebrows. In her case, they're used to accentuate her dottiness, boyishness, and nonthreatening nature.
* From ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'':
** The quintessential examples in this series are Rock Lee and Might Guy. This is [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] numerous times:
--->'''Guy:''' You know, Lee, we're a lot alike, you and I.\
'''Rock Lee:''' You mean the eyebrows?\
'''Guy:''' ...No, I don't mean our eyebrows.
*** Naruto also lampshaded that, right after Guy's first appearance: "He's got bigger eyebrows than Lee! Almost as if these were aliiiiive!"
*** Hence, Naruto nicknames them "Bushy Brows" and "Super Bushy Brows-sensei."
*** It's sometimes joked that Rock Lee stole Gaara's eyebrows and Might Guy stole Zabuza's eyebrows ([[DontExplainTheJoke because, you know, the latter has none]]).
** There's also [[http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/naruto/images/b/b8/Urakaku.jpg Urakaku]], one of the {{Samurai}} from the Land of Iron, [[http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/naruto/images/7/71/Sabu.jpeg Sabu]], the leader of the "Enka Ninja" troupe that Killer Bee wants to join, the Tsuchikage, and the (deceased) 3rd Raikage.
** The Fourth Raikage and the Third Tsuchikage has them as well.
** Amaru is a rare female example, and she's still cute with them.
* Headmaster Konoe in ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'' has these. Yes, he is very old.
* Even though they are rather small, Momoko Asuka in ''Anime/OjamajoDoremi'' is another female example. Hers were magnified in ''Naisho'''s ending sequence, and she ''is'' [[FunnyForeigner the comic relief after she shows up]]...
* ''Manga/OnePiece'' has a few characters with ostentatiously thick eyebrows, Usopp from the main crew, Enel from Skypeia and GeneralRipper Akainu are the most prominent examples.
* In ''Manga/OtakuNoMusumeSan'', this is a trait of protagonist Kouta Morisaki's family. The fact that Kanau has them too, is one of the factors that lead him to recognize her as his daughter when they first meet. [[spoiler: Haruka's baby at the end of the series also has them.]]
* Takehito Ito's character designs for ''Anime/OutlawStar'' and other series tend to have big shaggy eyebrows, even when the characters are women or children.
* Ohta from ''Franchise/{{Patlabor}}''.
* ''Anime/PokemonArceusAndTheJewelOfLife'':
** Damos has these, but he's a very strong man with [[Anime/YuGiOh Yami Yugi's]] voice, so it's okay. However, his descendant Sheena has the same eyebrows on a very pale, narrow face with otherwise dainty features... it looks pretty strange.
** Lily (Misty's youngest sister) also has pretty noticeable brows compared to her siblings.
* In ''Manga/TheRedRangerBecomesAnAdventurerInAnotherWorld'', Poseidon's eyebrows are so bushy that they cover his eyes most of the time. His eyes are only seen when he's truly shocked, surprised, or intense.
* In ''Manga/SgtFrog'', Keroro occasionally displays BigOlEyebrows when he's being [[MundaneMadeAwesome overly dramatic]].
* In ''Literature/{{Shiki}}'', the son of Tomio Ookawa, Atsushi Ookawa inherited his father's big eyebrows.
* ''Manga/SoutenKouro'' features more than its share of BigOlEyebrows. Especially noteworthy are Cao Cao's; it's not that they're all that thick, it's just that he has four of them.
* Papapianitchi from ''Anime/{{Tamagotchi}}'' has big, white eyebrows and is also one of the only characters in the franchise to have visible eyebrows at all.
* ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' gives us Kittan Bachika. Rossiu's are also more prominent than the rest of the cast.
* ''Manga/TenjhoTenge'''s Mitsuomi Takayanagi has some seriously impressive ones, with FORKED ENDS!
* Iwao Kuroiwa has majestic eyebrows in ''Manga/TokyoGhoul'', which accent his bug-eyed expressions. In the sequel, Takeomi Kuroiwa has his father's thick brows. It's the first hint of his identity, prior to his name being revealed.
* ''Anime/TransformersSuperGodMasterforce'':
** Ranger has very big, bushy eyebrows.
** Another character, Duplica, has pretty thick brows as well.
* UsefulNotes/MiyamotoMusashi from ''Manga/{{Yaiba}}'', whose eyebrows aren't only extremely thick but also longer than his body (it helps that he's very small).
* ''Manga/{{Yotsuba}}'':
** [[GentleGiant Jumbo]] has these. Ena compares the ''shiisa'' figurine Asagi gives her to Jumbo largely because of the eyebrows.
** Fuuka has a pretty impressive set of eyebrows on her too. When she asks Koiwai if she should trim them, he says she should leave them as they are, [[ShipTease as she looks cute with them.]]
* ''Anime/YuGiOh'': Gozaburo Kaiba has some [[http://www.shadowlordinc.com/characters/Yu-Gi-Oh/2-GozaburoKaiba.jpg rather large brows]], to go along with his [[HotBloodedSideburns chops]] and 'stash.
* ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'':
** Tetsu Ushio has thick eyebrows in a permanent arch to underline his status as the overdramatic comic relief. José has a single, very long eyebrow. It covers even his eye.
** Ushio carries this look over from his earlier appearance in [[Manga/YuGiOh the original manga]]. Several other early villains also had these to make them look more threatening.
