* See the AwesomeMusic/FinalFantasy page? Music/NobuoUematsu composed around 90% of that (and ''all'' of it from the main series entries before ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX''), and it's what he's famous for.
* ''VideoGame/LostOdyssey'' has an awesome soundtrack all round:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O8jqd1jgDw Main Theme]].
** The dramatic, over the top, and just plain awesome [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pmUE83m9kE A Formidable Enemy Appears!]].
** The soothing and emotional [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP7zirZZ81w Prologue]].
** "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vbsI9xFuo8 Howl of the Departed]]" is a boss theme that might even give [[OneWingedAngel "One Winged]] [[AwesomeMusic/FinalFantasy Angel"]] a run for its money. It starts out scary with PsychoStrings before the metal guitars and OminousLatinChanting come in.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=135Gltfkxeo Neverending Journey]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSXyriI2Eug Dark Saint]].
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38vhVdkGmUo Battle with the Demonic Beast.]]
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CwebIy8UIc Space Distortion]], another great boss theme.
* ''VideoGame/BlueDragon'', if God Himself decided to compose a song to be blasted during the Apocalypse, He would be hard-pressed to create one more Armageddon-heralding than [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th255-1B2wQ The Seal Is Broken]].
** Take that song, lengthen it as shown here [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWd5ohf3oe0]]. Not cool enough, how's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkJw0xy_6qA this version]] from the DS game. Now, let's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQC7VBXCrxE take this]] up to eleven.
** Uematsu + The lead singer of Music/DeepPurple = [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUjxPj3al5U ETERNITY!]]
* While not game related (except for one track from ''Franchise/FinalFantasy''), Nobuo's solo album ''Phantasmagoria'' is absolutely stunningly gorgeous to hear. And speaking of Music/OCRemix, there's [[http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01515/ Fire Cross]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiuYxPgMhhc Rad Racer Music A]] for sure. Too bad it's so obscure (unless you're a fan of ''WebAnimation/HomestarRunner'' and know it as the melody to "CHALLENGE AND FIGHTING AND FIGHTING THAT CHALLENGE TONIGHT...").
* The Black Mages' contributions are notably hit and miss, but several of the best are:
** Main battle theme "[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Those Who Fight Further]]".
** The boss theme "[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII Force Your Way]]".
** The twelve-minute long orchestra that is "[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVI Dancing Mad]]".
*** As well as the boss fight music, "The Decisive Battle", from the same game.
** While on the subject of ''FFVI'', turning the opera scene into a real opera, even if the quality is debatable, is awesome for sheer effort of doing it.
** Turning the cute little piano theme [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyX The Skies Above]] into a veritable RockOpera.
** Perhaps most famous for its EpicRiff is [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII Maybe I'm a Lion]].
** A surprisingly well done flamenco/metal fusion of [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyIX Vamo' Alla Flamenco]].
** "Advent: One-Winged Angel". Say what you will about the movie it's from, but that track is a masterpiece!
** [[IncomingHam ENOUGH EXPOSITORY BANTER!]] [[NoIndoorVoice NOW WE ROCK LIKE MEN!]] AND WOMEN! AND WOMEN WHO DRESS LIKE MEN! FOR [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyV GILGAMESH]], IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!!
* While ''VideoGame/ChronoTrigger'' was mostly composed by Music/YasunoriMitsuda, Uematsu did contribute some music after Mitsuda overworked himself to the point of stomach ulcers. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A11eWGIasMY Tyrano Lair]] is one of those pieces.
* The main theme of ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl''. The Latin may be a bit of a mess grammatically, but there's no denying the sheer awesome factor in the music. "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PInuVXgxO1g Audi famam illius...]]"
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB3MgXufpQ Einherjar]] from [[VideoGame/{{Bemani}} GuitarFreaks and DrumMania XG.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKwCdeHsLOk Plutia's theme]] in ''VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaV'' with his band, Earthbound Papas.
* Even if you didn't like ''Anime/FinalFantasyVIIAdventChildren'' itself, the music is amazing on its own. Some notable tracks:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcIUXsafPys For the Reunion.]]
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiHHDV5kTSc The Chase of Highway.]]
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yVBsRmKpbw Tenrai (Divinity I)]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kVJbK5hKxg Tenrai (Divinity II).]] (OminousLatinChanting FTW!)
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftoV4CnOIls One-Winged Angel.]] The original theme from the game is memorable in of itself, but TheMovie cranks it up with some downright badass electric guitar work.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPdNFZ-p7hQ Cloud Smiles]]. The way the music builds up to a crescendo as Cloud spots Aerith and then the gentleness as she turns and then the final phrase as he realises 'Daijoubu...hitori ja nai'...beautiful.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWfKrw3ofEo Safe and Sound]], the new ending for ''Advent Children Complete'', kicks ass way better than Calling, the original ending. It's got Gerard Freaking Way...nice tune and riffs to it too.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpV3hlE0uQU End Credits]] track is lovely as well, an orchestral medley of FFVII's main theme, Aerith's theme and the ''Final Fantasy'' theme.
* ''VideoGame/FairyFencerF'' gives us [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ucfzn_IZqpQ "Full Contact".]] You're forgiven for thinking it's a long-lost ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' song, since you will be rocking out whenever any character transforms into their SuperMode regardless.
