| 2 | * One mission on Crescent Island in ''Pilotwings 64'' requires you to fly with the rocket belt into a cave. Once inside, you have to navigate an obstacle course of stalactites, stalagmites, narrow passages, and waterfalls. Considering this game was a launch title for the Nintendo 64 when it was released in 1996, this mission was pretty damn impressive for its time. | 3 | * And, of course, no one can forget Little States Island from ''Pilotwings 64'', which is a digital recreation of the United States of America (well, the main territory at least), including landmarks aplenty from the Art/StatueOfLiberty and the Golden Gate Bridge to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. It even includes Mount Rushmore with Mario's head in place of George Washington's (with a cameo by Wario if you shoot Mario's nose). Again, for the technological resources video games of the late 1990's this is damn impressive. |
