* Pretty much anything the masters of Ryozanpaku do when things become serious. Up to and including ''successfully'' fighting a fully and heavily armed military force during the TournamentArc.
** To elaborate, these guys were fighting soldiers in body armor with assault rifles, APCs, tanks, and gunships with their bare fists and legs (and katanas in Shigure's case) and were WINNING. To quote Akisame: "Be careful, even though they are wearing body armor, they can still die."
* Kenichi's first two victories, against Daimonji and Tsukuba:
** Daimonji [[UnskilledButStrong isn't that skilled but is large and muscular]], and has ''some'' Karate training, while Kenichi has barely started training and only knows the Kouho Haiho combo shown him by Miu... Who forgot to tell him it's not just to dodge but also to throw the opponent. Kenichi dodges almost all of Daimonji's strikes and after a while figures out how it's supposed to go - and Daimonji ends up on the ground knocked out.
** Kenichi, having barely started training with Ryozanpaku, lost the first bout with Tsukuba, who chalked his victory against Daimonji to a fluke. Some time later they fight again, and Kenichi, now stronger and more skilled, gives him a ''complete'' CurbStompBattle through the use of techniques that are illegal in sports Karate... And thus Tsukuba has no idea how to defend against, even when he's still physically stronger. Kenichi starting with the Yamazuki, a ''Karate'' technique, makes the victory even sweeter.
* Kenichi's first use of the Mubyoshi punch vs Siegfried.
* Kenichi elbowing a goddamned shark to save his sister during the [[BeachEpisode Beach Chapter.]]
** Note he only had a vague idea how to swim -he'd only learned that day- and he jumped off a cliff to save her.
* Shinnosuke Tsuji deserves a spot here for being Kenichi's WakeUpCallBoss ''twice'':
** During the Ragnarok arc, Kenichi had already defeated two opponents stronger and more skilled than he was at the time, Tsukuba and Takeda, by taking advantage of them being athletes and used to competitions with rules (Tsukuba was done in by a combination of techniques illegal in Karate competition, and Takeda was doomed by low kicks). Tsuji is stated immediately to be stronger than Kenichi but also less skilled, and Kenichi proves it by scoring a number of hits... Then Tsuji [[UseYourHead headbutts Kenichi]] on ''[[MegatonPunch his fist]]'', almost breaking his hand, and proceeds to demonstrate how [[GoodOldFisticuffs sheer street fighting experience can overcome someone with good technique but little experience]], utterly defeating Kenichi and coming close to break his leg before Takeda can rescue him.
** After being defeated by Kenichi in the rematch, Tsuji goes to train in the mountains and receives lessons from a mysterious Master, and returns after Ragnarok has disbanded but still wants to fight Kenichi. During their fight Kenichi is clearly superior but distracts himself long enough for Tsuji to score a single hit... That [[OneHitKO completely knocks him out]].
* Shortly after Kisara joins the Eight (previously Seven) Fists of Ragnarok, Odin leads the group to face a gang of fifty opponents, who at first laugh and then get angry when Odin declares Kisara, Loki and Hermit would be more than enough. [[CurbStompBattle Turns out Odin was right and even went for overkill]]. To be fair, Loki and Hermit were there mostly to assist the new girl, who did most of the job by herself...
** Most notably is the fact Loki fought here. Due [[BigBadWannabe his antics whenever he gets some focus]] his strength comes off as an InformedAbility, but here he proves that he's indeed the OneManArmy one of the Eight Fists is expected to be.
* Takeda's "farewell beat up" for leaving Ragnarok has a few moments:
** Ukita's HeelFaceTurn. One moment it looks he'll be the first of Kisara's crew to face Takeda, and the next he's thrown Koga of the Kicks over a wall declaring he too quits Ragnarok.
** Takeda and Ukita defeating the entirety of Kisara's crew except for Shiratori.
** Seeing their strength, Kisara decides to get in the scuffle herself. She ''[[OneHitKO one-shots Ukita]]'', and is actually surprised when Takeda requires two kicks.
** After recovering from the beating, Kisara's crew decides to [[KickThemWhileTheyreDown beat Takeda and Ukita up while they're down]], Koga prepares to jump on Ukita's arm and break it... And once again he's sent flying, but this time in a wall and by a fist-[[BigDamnHero Kenichi's]]. Kenichi then proceeds to take on the entire crew minus Shiratori, and the only reason he doesn't take them all down is that near the end his arm gets stuck in a fence-that he ''broke''.
** While Kenichi faces the crew, Miu takes on Kisara herself and defeats the until then unstoppable woman so hard she would have ''killed her'' had she not deliberatedly cushioned her fall.
*** One for Kisara: she forced Miu to go all out. Miu is strong enough that Kenichi at that point couldn't even score a point on her during sparring while she holds back, and Kisara actually forced her to use all of her strength.
** Still, Kenichi's stuck in a fence and one of the last of Kisara's thugs is about to stab him with a knife... And then ''Nijima'', of all people, appears and [[BatterUp knocks him out with a bat]], also revealing the Shinpaku Alliance. [[KnowWhenToFoldEm Shiratori promptly orders a retreat]].
* Kisara's overhead double kick to defeat Freya.
* All of Hermit's battle with Berserker, especially this part, even more so than the "effort surpasses talent" speech.
-->'''Hermit:''' It's not that easy, Berserker! I'm not the kind of street trash you're used to fighting! I'm a trained martial artist who refuses to lose to the likes of you! I SWORE I'D NEVER GIVE IN! I PROMISED!!
* Hermit's original HeelFaceTurn against Ragnarok while saving Honoka was pretty awesome too.
* Kenichi using Kuchiki Taoshi (a single leg takedown) to throw Thor out of the fighting pit, after Thor's TemptingFate by mentioning he weighs over a hundred kilograms.
* Kenichi vs Odin as a whole and specific parts:
** When TheGlassesComeOff so Odin can launch his most powerful attack...
** ...Only to be countered by Kenichi's AllYourPowersCombined mimicry of his masters.
*** Which was also [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments friggin' hilarious]], at least in the anime.
* The D of D tournament was a crowning moment for many of the Shinpaku members, my personal favorite being when Siegfried spun his head halfway around, and generally showed himself to be invincible.
** I'd personally prefer he, being in ''Tibet'' doing hellish training on himself, sensing they needed his help, somehow got a old-style open cockpit single-person airplane, flying to the (extremely heavily defended) island, and then JUMPING to the arena from the airplane, landing unharmed, pwning some of their current enemies, then PASSING OUT from exhaustion from the 3 or so days that took him to get there, plus 40 days of spinning like a prayer wheel non-stop.
*** Not to mention the fact that he was SINGING on the way down.
*** Hell, he even stops dead in the middle of a battle...to compose music ''and write it out on the body of his opponent''. He also has a nice hat.
*** Can we just agree that Siegfried is not a man, but an instance of one long continuous SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome given human form?
*** Motion seconded, and carried.
*** He dodged ''missiles'' on his way down!
** Let's not forget the bit at the end, where the members of the Shinpaku Alliance fight against Fortuna, an honest-to-goodness master-class fighter, and they WIN. Granted, it's shortly revealed that Fortuna was on the low end of the master spectrum, but it's still very impressive, as up to that point, non-masters even landing a blow on a master (much less defeating one) was completely unheard of. Oh, and pretty much all of them were suffering from their tournament injuries as well (at least 3 of them were completely bedridden before getting up to fight Fortuna), making it even more impressive.
** Hermit's first usage of [[OneHitKill Kyousa]] was nothing short of awe. It severely damaged a low-class master, and he only learned the technique an hour or so ago. When Fortuna "[[NoSell no sold]]" the technique and backfisted Hermit away, he got up right back on his feet and made the most BadassBoast, "you're the one who's going to die!" A disciple saying that to a master. And Fortuna vomited blood like a broken fire hydrant.
* This moment for Apachai, it turns out he was actually holding back in this fight and up until this moment was losing.
** It's appropriately called the Punch You Don't Let Children See.
* Heck, even ''Nijima'' gets some awesome moments, like when he used himself as bait to lure Berserker into a trap, or during the D of D Tournament where he enters himself as a fighter, despite having no fighting ability. He may be a JerkAss, but you have to admit that the guy has balls.
** And what he lacks in martial arts skills he makes up for with tasers.
** Also consider that he pretty much created the Shinpaku Alliance pretty much by himself, a feat made even more impressive by the fact that most of the members don't even like him, and didn't want to join. Yet he still manages to lead them.
** He got another moment in chapter 55 when his group faced Hermit for the first time. After Hermit chucks one guy off the bridge into the river, Nijima (who has zero combat experience) sends the rest of the group back to base, deciding to face Hermit alone. He bluffs him until everybody else is a safe distance away, then jumps off the bridge, recovers the guy who got thrown off, and makes his way to safety.
** His arrival during the fight between Kenichi and Radin: Radin had got the upper hand by sending in his men and knifing Kenichi in the shoulder... And suddenly Nijima hits him with a snowball just to get his attention. He then helps Tanimoto take out Radin's men with ''snowballs''-with rocks inside, of course, as Radin finds out the hard way when Nijima hits ''him'' with enough force to draw blood.
*** His TheReasonYouSuckSpeech on Radin, just plain declaring him ''[[BoringInsult boring]]'' when compared to Kenichi, who raised himself from thrash to fighting on par with him. He also had a magnificent retort when Radin demanded to know who had dared to throw a snowball to a king:
---->"The only king I bow to is ''myself''."
** Crashing the opening party of the "D of D" tournament and demanding they let the Shinpaku Alliance partecipate by broadcasting a live message on the party room's main screen. The island's system was impossible to hack... So he just connected directly to the monitor. It was so ballsy that Diego not only forgave him for ruining his show, he complimented him to his face and agreed to let the Shinpaku partecipate.
*** Later during the tournament Sho Kano takes out most of the Alliance fighters between the first and second rounds, and he has only Ukita and Kisara to face the Capoeira Team. Does he forfeit? No, he ''walks in the ring himself'', [[IndyPloy planning as the fight goes]] and outmanouvering the Capoeira Team at every move. Siegfried's sudden arrival helped, but Nijima's planning did half the job, ruining their cohesion and tricking one of their fighters into putting himself right where Ukita could just throw him out in spite of being otherwise outclassed.
*** At the semi-finals he discovers Sho Kano has killed their next opponents ([[DeathFakedForYou or so he claims to give them a way to escape the island]]) and entered the tournament. Nijima realizes Sho is going to murder everyone between him and Kenichi, is terrified because he knows he'll be killed first... And still musters enough courage to walk on the ring and [[KnowWhenToFoldEm forfeit the match]], gaining just enough respect from Sho Kano he actually lets him go.
** During the above-mentioned battle between Miu and Rimi for the disc the disc is destroyed, prompting Rimi to leave as her main goal was to prevent its delivery with data that would prove Ryozanpaku had been framed for terrorism. Cue Nijima revealing that on the disc there was actually a hour-long recording of his EvilLaugh, and that the data was actually on a pen drive held on by ''him'', the weakest guy in the area.
*** Later it turns out that the politician they were to give the pen drive to prove Ryozanpaku's innocence was actually [[TheMole a Yami Master]], who before being defeated manages to destroy the drive. Cue Nijima revealing that, [[CrazyPrepared just in case]], he had already leaked everything on internet, the only reason they wanted to deliver the data directly to him was that he had guessed there was a mole and hoped to lure them out. That, and if the mole didn't reveal themselves it would allow to annull Ryozanpaku's arrest warrants faster.
* Kenichi's latest escapade deserves mention just for the growth he's demonstrated. The first time he was fighting on top of a speeding vehicle, he was scared out of his mind and wondering just what the hell he was doing on top of the thing. The second time, when he's not yet reached Master-class... He tells Freya and Nijima to escape without them. ''He's got '''this'''''. "This" being a bloody Master-class martial artist with a sword. As soon as the guy jumped onto the truck, Kenichi knew he was Master-class. He didn't flinch for a second.
** The really amazing part is where he takes a blow on par with a blow which splits the truck they're standing on in half, and after seeing the carnage his Master-class foe causes, he tells Freya and Nijima to run, because, to quote: "I'll look after this! You two take Freya's grandfather and run!"
*** This happened before the events above. The Shinpaku Alliance tries to save Freya and her grandfather, but are held at bay by members of Yami's Weapon Division. Kenichi is the first one to step in.
* After the first 100 chapters or so, ''any'' time someone harms/threatens Miu. What follows is Kenichi taking CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass to the extreme.
** One of the greatest instances is when Radin Tidat Jihan announces he'll kill (a temporarily incapacitated) Miu once he's done with Kenichi. At this point Radin is stronger, faster, and more experienced than Kenichi, practices an extremely pragmatic martial art that Kenichi has never met before, has experience against Karate, and [[GeoEffects put himself over a flight of stairs to have an advantageous position]]-and yet Kenichi ''still'' manages to find a way to strike at him and win.
* Hayate Fuurinji, any time he actually decides to do something. Especially when he's training Kenichi, but he has other moments as well. "Play on land! Are you goldfish?!"
* Don't count out the masters of Yami. First, there's Alexander Gaidar, who engaged in a sculpt-off with Koetsuji, and even used Koetsuji's techniques against him. Silcardo is a damn crazy loon who swallows pineapples ''whole''. Diego... well, just look at the entry under CrazyIsCool on the main page. Agaard Jum Sai gets serious bonus points for managing to kill Apachai.
%%* Kenichi uses Apachai's goddamn APANCH and CHAI KICK to defeat Koukin, ''complete with glowing eyes''. Holy--
* When it comes to protecting Kenichi from the aforementioned sword wielding master, now come back with a grudge NOT EVEN DEATH CAN KEEP APACHAI DOWN!!!!!
** Actually, all of Kenichi's fight with Koukin is a Crowing Moment of Awesome. The two's fight is probably the closest thing of pure equals that has been seen yet.
** Apachai then proceeds punch the guy in the face breaking his blade knocking him out the at two walls out the building [[MadeOfIron AND HE'S STILL ALIVE!!!!]]
** What follows is a triple-threat combination of Awesome, Funny and Heartwarming as Apachai tells Kenichi that he borrowed some time from the reaper in order to protect him. Cue Akisame showing up with GlowingEyesOfDoom and declaring that they will use their awesome skills to essentially cheat god and all the other masters chipping in to save the big lug. Yes, Akisame manages to be awesome, terrifying and hilarious at the same time.
* Kenichi teaming up with ''Boris Ivanov'' to beat the high holy hell out of a bunch of Russian special forces soldiers who'd been sent to kill helpless students and teachers during a field trip.
** Ethan and Rachel also fight off a unit of soldiers, though in their case, it's more that they don't care ''what'' Alexander Gaidar ordered, since he's not ''their'' master.
** Tanimoto takes on more soldiers by himself, while Siegfried shows up to [[BigDamnHeroes save the Shinpaku Alliance]] from yet another unit. These soldiers walked in expecting easy kills of a bunch of civilians (most of them kids) and had no idea what they were getting into.
* Of all people, [[CantCatchUp Ukita]] manages to save Chikage from being backstabbed by a Yami weapon wielder with a vajra by [[BarehandedBladeBlock grabbing it with his hand]], then proceeding to grab the wielder and toss him down upon the ground, instantly knocking him out.
%%* Chapter 419, for Siegfried; all his opponent could say is ''what the fuck is this guy doing?''
* Sakaki gave a beating so brutal, Kenichi and Miu had to stop him, TWICE, and they were scared of "him" and he was on their side. Once against the French assassin and again against the political fighter, both master class
** That's your evidence? What about when he ''took on two Masters from Yami at once just to keep Kenichi from being angry at him and successfully rescue YOMI member, Rachel Stanley?!'' Sakaki ''is'' SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.
* Kenichi getting the ever-loving crap kicked out of him by the Valkyrie and GETTING UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED.
* Shigure with a wooden rice scoop vs. the Valkyrie gang with actual weapons. Less than a second later, the Valkyries' weapons have been cut. And when they try to fight on anyway they discover their clothes had been cut too.
* Kenichi's father when he made his attempt to retrieve his son. [[PapaWolf He was willing to take on all the Ryouzanpaku masters AT ONCE]] with his rifle, managed to impress weapons mistress Shigure by doing a spinning, one-handed reload of the rifle he was carrying and FORCING her to dodge, and tore through every one of the traps near the hot spring. He was also willing to sacrifice himself to save his son by protecting him from an onrushing boulder.
** Kenichi himself gets a moment right there when he shows his father how much he's grown by CATCHING the boulder as it threatened to crush them both. Sakaki had to save them a moment later when he started to lose his grip, but that didn't detract from the fact that he caught a boulder roughly five times his size.
* In Chapter 417, Miu and her opponent Rimi run down the side of a dam [[MacguffinMelee in order to catch a disk with vital information on Yami.]] After catching said disk, they then give gravity the middle finger by running all the way back up, fighting each other the whole way while a completely surprised Thor watches in awe. A crowning moment for hero and villain both.
* In chapter 461, Kenichi [[TheDeterminator GETS UP]] after taking a near-fatal beating from a BrainwashedAndCrazy Miu and hitting a [[TheBrute bladed bulldozer]] of a fighter that was trying to kill her with a [[SignatureMove Mubyoshi]] that saved her life, [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome AND THEN challenges the guy to a fight!]]
** To really understand how Kenichi's improved since he developed the Mubyoshi. When it was first made, he had to hold his hands against his target for several seconds. Now, he was able to pull it off instantly after being beaten around by Miu. As in, he was struggling to get up when he was last seen!
* The entirety of Chapter 465. Kenichi and Miu (the latter having just been broken out of her brainwashing) take down [[TheJuggernaut Junazard's insanely-powerful swordsman henchman]]--and in the midst of it, Miu wards off the remaining traces of said brainwashing.
* Chapter 466 has Furinji Saiga demonstrating exactly why he's the freaking ''One Shadow'' when he pulls off a VillainousRescue, which includes stopping no less than '''three''' master class fighters in their tracks ''with his damn fingers''.
* Chapter 467: Defeating three Master Class opponents by yourself without even breaking a sweat? It's been done. Dropping a jacket you were holding, defeating said three Master Class opponents, then CATCHING the jacket you dropped before it can fall? Now THAT'S Inspired!
* Chapter 468: You're a Badass if you can casually climb walls by smashing holds into them with your feet.
* Chapter 472: Jenazad demolishes Hongou so thoroughly that it's hard to see the latter pull a win against him.
* Chapter 475: Hongo DOES pull that win against Jenazad--''with his injured hand no less''. HE STRUCK THE ELBOW OF HIS INJURED ARM WITH HIS KNEE JUST SO IT WOULD HAVE THE FORCE NEEDED TO PULL OFF HIS ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE.
* Chapter 490: Berserker catches a thrown shuriken with his teeth...then bends the weapon ''between his teeth'' and proceeds to blow a gum-bubble through the shuriken.
%%* Chapter 515: Ignoring his fight with Berserker, Kenichi, in response to [[BerserkButton Miu being hurt,]] attacks ''Ogata Freaking Isshinsai.''
* Chapter 517: Ryuuto and Kenichi team up and Kenichi lands a glancing blow impressing Ogata. Turns out that was a distraction to create an opening for Ryuuto to attack his eyes, since his only moment of weakness is praising his apprentices!
* Chapter 518: Ogata catching Ryuuto attacks with his teeth. Tsutomu saves Ryuuto and [[RevealingInjury hit Ogata in the face]] while talking on his cell phone.
* Chapter 524:
** A ''very'' dark moment for Isshinsai Ogata as he ends his fight with Tsutomu Tanaka by '''''smashing his head into bloody paste''''' with '''one elbow strike'''!
** Tanaka gets one when he sinks his teeth into Ogata's neck and draws blood right before said head-smashing.
* In his first appearance it was made very clear that [[OvershadowedByAwesome Christopher Eclair, in spite of his strength, is outmatched by Sakaki and anyone in his class]]. In his triumphant return he has to take on members of the Eight Executioner Blades on the boat carrying Yami's gold reserves... And actually manages to match one blow-for-blow. Turns out that [[GeoEffects Savate was originally developed to fight on ships and that gives him just that much of an advantage]].
* Chapter 544:
** Touchuumaru sneaking into the Yami base single-handed... Is pretty much the low point of awesomeness in the chapter.
** Shigure breaking out of prison with just some needles and broken blade. All this while having her hands restrained.
* Chapter 548: Koetsuji-sensei ''throws a Van going at full speed'' ''' '' WITH JUST ONE HAND'' '''.
* Chapter 577:
** The Shinpaku Alliance has joined forces with seven or so members of Yomi to fight against the apprentices of the weapons division. Two master-class weapon fighters show up, and things look bleak... and then Ryuto Asamiya comes in to help the good guys, too.
** Ryuto doing a lightning-fast assessment of the situation and [[TheStrategist putting together a battle plan]] in a matter of ''seconds''.
* Chapter 580: For the first time in the series, Kenichi surpasses Miu, whom he had always struggled to keep up with, by demonstrating MASTER level Ki control.
* Chapter 581: Hayate Fuurinji saves the day by leaping into the sky and ''pummeling a missile'' heading for Japan.
* At the epilogue, Kenichi finally marrying Miu, it sounds and is heartwarming. The awesome part? This implies he managed to defeat in battle HAYATO FREAKIN' FURINJI.
