And to cap it all off, Jason then puts on his signature hockey mask that is followed by an odd (but ''awesome'') BondGunBarrel sequence. '''Jason is dead. Long live Jason.'''
8	* Sheriff Garris' beat down on Jason and eventual HeroicSacrifice to save his daughter. He tackles him to the ground, kicks him while he's down and makes him roll over in the process, beats him with a log so hard he breaks the log, and bashes Jason's head several times with a large, heavy rock. Few characters ever get the chance to give Jason such a beating, even for an AssholeVictim like Garris becomes which makes his death a DyingMomentOfAwesome, futile as it might be. This act is why Garris can be considered to be an EnsembleDarkHorse[[invoked]] of this film.
9	** Heck, given all the wounds Garris unloaded on Jason, had be been up against the Crystal Lake Slasher back before he became the undead; Garris might have stopped the latest rampage then and there, completely averting the PoliceAreUseless trope he's been bordering on throughout.
10	** Overall, it really defines with Garris as TheSheriff, his RankScalesWithAsskicking even down to his last breath.
11	* The climactic battle at the lake, where Tommy creates a ring of fire around his rowboat and wrestles with Jason to chain him up. This climaxes with the flaming Jason ''body slamming'' Tommy and the boat so hard that it breaks in half.
12	** Tommy manages to chain up Jason and having him sink to the very bottom. When Jason drags Tommy down with him, Megan dives in to save the latter and even uses the propeller blades of the boat to slice up the former.
