* Devo [[http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/mick-jagger-danced-around-the-office-1062872 went]] to Music/{{The Rolling Stones|Band}} frontman Mick Jagger and his lawyer with their cover of "Satisfaction". 30 seconds into the song, Jagger was ''dancing'' to it. To this day he calls it the best cover of any Stones song.
-->'''Gerald Casale:''' We stuck our cassette into this big boom box and pressed Play. Jagger sat in total silence staring straight ahead. We thought, "God, he hates it". But then, he jumped up out of his chair and started dancing wildly in front of the fireplace. Dancing just like Mick Jagger. I thought, "Oh shit, he loves it!" Mark and I went home totally stoked and elated.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoHUu0A7ULk Their concert intro]] is a barrage of awesomeness.
* As if each had created the other in its [[HallOfMirrors own warped image]], never in the history of television were a [[RagtagBunchOfMisfits band]] and a late-night TalkShow more [[RoboticSpouse perfectly matched]] than Music/{{Devo}} and ''Series/TheColbertReport'' (on June 16, 2010).
* The [[ThreeDimensionalEpisode 3-Devo concert]] broadcast on live pay-per-view in October of 1982, just after the release of ''Oh No! It's Devo.'' Throughout the show, the band's backing track was knocked out of sync by a clueless crewman, a mic went dead, and the 3D effects proved ineffective as the show wore on. What's a band to do under such terrible production? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmdgxdI2JU4#t=2m20s Mock the shit]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ty3RuzQ8xo#t=4m29s out of the producers]] on their own pay-per-view.
* The interactive music video for [[http://mashable.com/2011/04/19/devo-what-we-do "What We Do."]] Have fun!
* The song, "Through Being Cool," and the music video that comes with it. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_HH_jher3c&feature=kp It's a bunch of teenagers hitting the streets and devolving people with laser guns.]] Best laser tag game ever.
* How catchy is "Whip It"? WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead had a history of ''not'' liking SynthPop, and yet [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBT1NYdd_UM Beavis went NUTS when that song came on, singing along and everything.]] (Also a [[Funny/BeavisAndButtHead Funny Moment]], obviously.)
* In June of 2014, Devo hit the road again to perform sets almost entirely composed of material from the Hardcore Devo years, to an excited reception from, well, hardcore fans. Doing their most ''devolved'' material in 2014 is a strangely triumphant moment for Devo, but it's also got a little [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments heartwarming]] in there too, with some of the proceeds going to the family of the late Bob Casale.
** In particular, the performance captured on the ''Hardcore Live'' concert film, with Bob Casale's son, Alex, playing bass on the last song of the night.

* You could probably pick anything from 1978-1982 and find some riveting NewWaveMusic. The big two, however, are...
** 1978's ''Music/QAreWeNotMenAWeAreDevo'' (sometimes shortened to ''Q&A'') is a popular fan consensus for best Devo album ''ever,'' and it's probably Devo's most ''rocking'' album.[[note]]Obviously this is a few years before the synthesizers overwhelmed everything.[[/note]]
** 1980's ''Music/FreedomOfChoice'', a remarkable achievement on its own terms. Not only did it spawn "Whip It" and thus their greatest mainstream success, but it's also one of the best combinations of guitar rock and SynthPop ever put on wax.
* 2010's ''Something for Everyone'', their first studio album in twenty years. It sounds very similar to their material from the 80s yet also sounds remarkably fresh. Combining the NewWave stylings of their heyday with modern day techno and absolutely ''nailing'' it. It quickly came to be considered one of the band's best albums and is easily one of the most triumphant returns in recent music history.
