* How about a hand for the Canadian Ambassador? He sheltered six fugitives for months, knowing that if the Iranians found out, they would gut him and not think twice about it.
** In real life, the ambassador Ken Taylor was the one who organized the entire exfiltration, having contacted the Canadian government, including the prime minister, and obtaining the fake passports.
* Sahar, the Taylors' Iranian housekeeper has the courage to openly lie to the Revolutionary Guards, having seen firsthand [[CruelAndUnusualDeath what they do]] to those they consider traitors, to protect the Americans hiding in the Canadian Embassy. She had nothing to gain and everything to lose by doing so, [[WhatYouAreInTheDark but she did it anyway]].
* After being the strongest critic of the plan, Joe Stafford steps up to the plate with an enthusiastic description of the film that wins over some skeptical Revolutionary Guards, because he manages to make the film sound like it's inspired by the Iranian revolution.
* The Swiss Air 747 with the fugitives onboard getting cleared for takeoff and accelerating into the air and away from the pursuing Iranian military police — especially poignant as Switzerland is a famously peaceful country — is a joy to behold.
