* ''VideoGame/BibleAdventures'' was bad enough by itself. In the ''David and Goliath'' game, though, [[https://youtu.be/LkNvQYiM6bw?t=495 a squirrel can knock itself out with the acorns that YOU are supposed to throw at it]]
* In ''VideoGame/KingsQuestMaskOfEternity'', if you shoot at the [[DemBones skeleton archers]] from far enough away, they will never shoot back (Although they ''will'' shout insults at you!).
** By contrast, dwarves in the Barren Region will occasionally try to shoot you through other dwarves, [[https://youtu.be/g426caeQJGA?t=1334 a fact which speedrunners exploit.]]
* [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] in ''[[VideoGame/SamAndMaxFreelancePolice Sam & Max: Bright Side of the Moon]]''. A quartet of sentient obsolete computers are attempting to devise the most advanced AI ever, and you have to play TabletopGame/TicTacToe against one of them. The AI is just about as sharp as advertised, except for one problem: it actively plays to ''[[SpringtimeForHitler lose]]'' rather than win, so convincing the computers that their AI really is invincible by losing to it takes some doing.
* The combat system in ''VideoGame/QuestForGloryIV'' is changed to include a strategy mode which, rather than the player directly controlling the Hero's actions, instead allows the computer to do so, based on the Hero's current skill levels and settings defined by the player. The AI controlling him, however, is less than useful, and no matter what settings you use generally ends up as AttackAttackAttack.
* Similar to the Sam & Max example, ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfKyrandia 3: Malcolm's Revenge'', sees the titular VillainProtagonist captured by merpeople and forced to play tic-tac-toe against the queen. If you win, she'll demand a rematch, so you have to actually play to lose (and also set your dialog gauge to "lying" in order to convince her you didn't actually throw the match). As you might expect, she's a ''lousy'' player and keeps making counterproductive moves. It's actually more challenging to score a loss than it would be to win against a competent player.
