The OVA was a joint production between Ishinomori Productions and Dynamic Productions and saw the return of director Jun Kawagoe, who had previously worked on the 2001 ''Manga/Cyborg009'' anime.

Unlike the other High-Teen Cyborgs, she doesn't show any animosity towards the 00 Cyborgs and doesn't have any real interest in fighting them. She also urges the other High-Teen Cyborgs to stop fighting the 00 Cyborgs, as Dr. Adams death defeats the purpose of continuing the battle and that Atun is now the bigger threat]].

On the other side of the coin, Akira and Ryo are just as surprised to learn about the Cyborgs.
53	* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: Most of the new characters introduced in the OVA are named after Biblical figures. Particularly Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, and Seth.
