''Kapitan Bomba'' (lit. ''Captain Bomb'') is a Polish VulgarHumor cartoon series about the titular captain and his crew, who are defending the galaxy from aliens. Many creatures, planets or even weapons in the series are shaped after genitals; some species even smell like crap for no known reason. Characters are speaking in a ClusterFBomb way, of course - at one point, Bomba eventually punishes his soldiers for being polite, and forces them to use foul language. He also refers to them as "dumb dicks" (tępe chuje); fallen enemies are also insulted that way.

Unsurprisingly, the series was strongly attacked by MoralGuardians (and not only them) for big amount of vulgarity during its premiere; now, however, it has reached cult status among many Poles.

----
!!The cartoon generally features:
* AerithAndBob: A humorous example: aliens typically have regular, run-of-the-mill Polish names but a single episode features an alien inexplicably named "Gwach'Qar".
%% * TheAlcoholic: Bomba becomes one in TheMovie.
* AllJustADream: The [[spoiler: Kutang Klan three-episode arc, which turns out to be Bomba's dream after overworking out]], and [[spoiler: nearly the entire second [[TheMovie movie]], which is similarly Bomba's dream after being knocked out in a fist fight]].
* AlwaysLawfulGood: Humans. They can have dumb or superstitious examples, but we never see an outright evil one throughout the series.
** Some are pretty racist... like the farmer who borrowed money to a killer alien and was perfecly willing to send his child to die. Still, the Star Fleet humans are somewhat more tolerant - they actually allow aliens some democratic representation in their government, unlikely the other rulers in the universe.
* ArmouredClosetGay: Kapitan Bomba is implied to be one.
--> '''Seba:''' Let's see. You don't have a girlfriend. You're overly interested in the military and war. You get mad when someone calls you a fag. You call everyone and everything a faggot - and it's only ''a small step between homophobia and faggotry''. As I see it - poorly disguised homo.
* AssShove: The Captain's method of dispatching aliens which involves ''inserting the gun barrel into an alien's rectum and pulling the trigger''. [[spoiler:It even becomes a plot point, when the heroes confront an alien, who [[BizarreAlienBiology doesn't have a rectum in the usual place]] and is therefore ''[[SuperToughness virtually unkillable]]''. As it turns out, it's in his [[NauseaFuel mouth]]]]. The method is so effective that's it ''actually taught to the soldiers by the Starfleet''.
%% * ATeamFiring: Combined with MoreDakka in large quantities.
%% * BigBad: Alien Sultan to his son Michał Parchaś.
* BigDamnMovie: Two of them - the first one deals with an invasion from beyond the borders of space, the second one deals with a SealedEvilInACan that takes over the galaxy.
* BizarreAlienBiology: All the alien races apply. The most notable is the kurvinox reproduction method: the male ''eats'' the female after having reproductive sex - to ''produce enough poo'' to cover the fertilized eggs for protection. Men who refuse to eat their wives are ''ostracized''.
* BondVillainStupidity: The Alien Sultan likes holding public executions for his archenemies. They vary from hangings to Roman-styled GladiatorGames and give the victims enough time to prepare and escape. [[spoiler: However, he succeeded in killing the original Starfleet Admiral, but not before losing all of his gladiators to him]].
* CampStraight: Torpedo may fill the stereotype by wearing a ''pink'' combat armour, speaking in high-pitched voice, and generally appearing to be effeminate and naive, but there is no evidence in the series that he is indeed a homosexual. Which doesn't stop Captain Bomb from mockingly calling him Torpedo-fag.
* CardCarryingVillain: The Alien Sultan, being a FatBastard, speaking quasi-italian gibberish with a menacing EvilLaugh. He also holds public executions on his homeworld - the aptly named Planet of War. He prefers to be called ''Sancti Magistri'' or ''Sancti Padre'' by his minions.
%% * CasualInterstellarTravel
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: The main characters start as really dumb soldiers, Bomba included. It took him several dozen episodes to become the savvy SociopathicHero he is known today. It doesn't stop him from reverting to idiocy in some cases. The personalities of his two subordinates are also more fleshed out in the later episodes.
* {{Cloudcuckooland}}: The show's universe, with its wacky alien and human inhabitants, and its weird laws. You can breathe in space, the [[TwoDSpace interstellar highways]] are full of holes and ''bullets are unaffected by wind, unlike laser beams''. Not to mention the [[AssShove official Starfleet method of killing aliens]].
%% * ClusterFBomb, as mentioned above.
* DeathFromAbove: Bomba's team rarely uses weapons other than guns and grenades, but on few occasion they got issued a mortar with several different types of ammunition.
* DeusExMachina: How Bomba and his crew escape the Sultan the first time they're caught. [[spoiler: They are fed to a gigantic alien, who swallows them whole, and find a functioning starship in his stomach]]. Even the Captain is surprised.
* DiabolusExMachina: The duel between Starfleet Admiral and Alien Sultan. [[spoiler: It starts as a ''Film/{{Gladiator}}'' spoof, with the Admiral fighting despite being fatally poisoned. He wins but just before dealing the fatal blow, freezes with pain. He still manages to explain that the poison must have been accelerated by his esperal implant before dropping dead.]]
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The first several dozen episodes are vulgar shorts with hardly any plot at all. Multi-episode story arcs and parody elements start with episodes 51, 54 and 55 (''Święto Dupy'' trilogy). The characters also sounded a bit different earlier on.
* EnergyWeapon: The laser gun is the standard personal weapon of most alien races, in opposition to the Star Fleet troopers who only use ballistic weapons.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: The Alien Sultan, the series' main villain, sincerely loves his mom and keeps her portrait in his private chamber.
* {{Expy}}: The main candidates in the election arc are expies of the real life candidates in the 2010 Polish presidential election.
* FantasticRacism: Drives the main conflict between the Starfleet and the aliens. Different alien races are also often prejudiced against each other.
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: Kurvix Galaxy is this to Poland, while the Kujwdubie Galaxy is this to Germany.
%% * FatBastard: Alien Sultan, his mother and his son Michał Parchaś (to the point he was sent to a sanatorium).
* FlyingCar: The most common type of a spaceship - typically modelled after cars popular in communist-era or late 1990s Poland, like Żuk and Nysa vans or Daewoo Lanos hatchbacks. Bomba's twin brother Modest however owns a large flying RAM 1500.
* FunWithSubtitles: The Alien Sultan and his closest minions are subtitled - their actual speech is pseudo-Italian gibberish (although it is gramatically correct).
* GatlingGood: In a few episodes Bomba has a minigun.
* GoshDangItToHeck: Captain Torpedo sounds like this, especially in comparison to Captain Bomb. This is yet another reason for Bomba to accuse him of being homosexual.
%% * HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: Starfleet Admiral. Possibly Alien Sultan as well.
%% * HollywoodCyborg: Mk'bewe after being changed into one.
* HumongousMecha: The Kilobot from the second movie - the majority of the plot involves finding a resource with enough energy to power it. And unlike most mechas, its pilot cockpit is not in its head, but in its ''dick''.
* IdiotHero: Bomba is sometimes portrayed as this. Not surprisingly, given the [[{{Cloudcuckooland}} universe he lives in]].
--> '''Kapitan Bomba:''' ''[firing an automatic rifle at an alien monster]'' The bullets aren't harming him, only pissing him off! ''KEEP FIRING!''
* ImprobableInfantSurvival: In one episode, an alien blasts a kid with such force, that his only recognizable remains are his calves and feet. The Captain brings the "boy" to a hospital and after half an hour he's as good as new, apart from a hand in a sling. Then, after seeing his medical bill, the boy attempts suicide, putting the Captain's gun in his mouth. He fires a burst of automatic fire offscreen, we see blood splatter and... it's revealed that he somehow missed, and the blood splatter was caused by his allergies.
* KickTheDog: The heroes regularly slaughter VillainsOutShopping.
* KineticWeaponsAreJustBetter: Humans prefer to use regular firearms, as opposed to lasers used by aliens. Justified because in Bomba's universe the bullets are actually unaffected by the wind (as opposed to lasers).
* TheLastDance: A group of aliens barricaded in a disco decide to spend their last moments partying like crazy and then shoot themselves, rather than face Bomb's squad waiting outside. By the time they did, the heroes had long grown bored and left.
%% * LudicrousGibs, for obvious reasons.
* OffscreenAfterlife: Alien characters often mention the ''Celestial Beach of Skurwoala'' as the place of eternal rest. [[spoiler:As shown in one episode, it actually exists and looks exactly as described by the believers. It's a sandy beach with warm, flat beer aplenty.]]
* OnlySaneMan: The Alien Sultan, in a way. He knows perfectly well that he's SurroundedByIdiots so he plans his schemes accordingly.
* PhraseCatcher: Whenever Mkbewe appears, there will always be someone who says "oh fuck, a devil".
* ProtagonistCenteredMorality: On a closer look, Kapitan Bomba is actually a DesignatedHero (of the SociopathicHero variety). He slaughters innocent civilians (''mostly'' aliens), including women and children, and is still treated as TheHero (by the humans, of course).
%% * RayGun: The laser lance.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Torpedo surprisingly becomes one, during his tenure as the Starfleet Admiral.
* RecoilBoost: Mkbewe [[spoiler: after he's turned into a cyborg]] gains the flying ability by shooting his ''laser'' towards ground.
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: One episode plays with this in regards to force fields. An alien is using a force field to protect himself which does fine against bullets, however he's killed once a rocket hits the force field solely due to impact tranferred by it.
* RetroRocket: Many spaceships are shaped after this, with the exception of "Orzeł 1" ("Eagle 1") in later episodes, which looks more like a WWII bomber than a space rocket.
* RippedFromTheHeadlines: The Starfleet Admiral election arc. It's a parody of the events after the 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Polish_Air_Force_Tu-154_crash]], in which the President of Poland was killed. If you think that one of the main candidates being the identical twin brother of the deceased President, or someone throwing a jar of poo at a commemorative plaque are just examples of the show's silly gags - you're wrong. It actually happened.
* ShowWithinAShow: Kapitan Dupa (lit. "Captain Ass") - an alien-made cartoon that plays on main characters, where they are parodied as homosexuals.
* SpaceIsCold: Averted, as the characters seem to be completely immune to outer space.
%%* SpaceIsNoisy
* SpacePolice:
** Bomba and his squad themselves.
** There is also an actual SpacePolice. In one episode, when stranded in enemy territory, the heroes broadcast some insults towards them figuring that pissed-off policemen will get there faster than any actual rescue mission. Unfortunately, due to FunWithAcronyms their insult is misinterpreted and instead they SummonBiggerFish.
* SuperToughness: Kutanoid's power. Can be killed only by ''putting a grenade into his rectum''. [[spoiler: Which is in his [[NauseaFuel mouth]]]].
* VoodooShark: PlayedForLaughs - it is explained that all the crossovers with the other GIT Produkcja show ''Generał Italia'' do not make use of TimeTravel in that both shows actually take place parallel, and that time flows faster in the Kurvix Galaxy so while it's 1941 on Earth, it's 1997 in Kurvix. [[Main/NarniaTime And yet it still doesn't add up.]]
* TheTheocracy: Subverted. The Kujwdubie galaxy is ruled by the Alien Pope and his congregation of cardinals, but despite their titles and clerical clothing they wear, religious matters are never discussed.
* TokenHeroicOrc: Ensign Michał Głuś, the Allied Alien crewmember of the Star Fleet. Bomba hates him and has a special bullet just for him... but saves his life a couple of times. To be fair, 6% of Star Fleet population are aliens, and not all aliens serve the Sultan. Not that Bomba cares.
* TooDumbToLive: Some of the aliens scheming to kill the Captain. They usually end up HoistByHisOwnPetard, even without any outside intervention. The Captain is aware of their stupidity and acts accordingly.
* WouldHurtAChild: Many times, when the Captain kills alien children without remorse (and sometimes even [[FantasticRacism without realizing he's shooting children]]).
