* {{Expy}}: Corvax looks like a green version of the Thief from ''WesternAnimation/TheThiefAndTheCobbler''. Note that said movie hadn't come out at the time of ''Muzzy in Gondoland'' (due to being one of the most famous examples of DevelopmentHell), so it's likely one of the animators who worked on it also worked with Creator/RichardWilliams and was, at some point, privvy to the development of ''The Thief and the Cobbler''. Even if this wasn't the case, Corvax is still a near-dead-ringer for the Thief.

* ExpendableClones: Sylvia's "clones" are not biological clones but some sort of holographic projections created by a MagicalComputer. Despite apparently having thoughts and emotions, they are treated by the other characters as anomalies and are deleted in the end.

* BaldOfEvil: Corvax, the villain, has no hair.

* KingOfBeasts: The King looks like an anthropomorphic lion; but as his family members are generic dognoses, he might as well be considered a dognose with mane-like hair.

* LionsAndTigersAndHumansOhMy: Outside of Norman's segments, there seems to be a lack of humans in the actual Muzzy universe. The only exception is the farmer in "Muzzy Comes Back", who gave details to the gang about Corvax and the school children Corvax is seen in Vocabulary Builder.

* CloningBlues: Sylvia's "clones" are not biological clones but some sort of holographic projections created by a MagicalComputer. Despite apparently having thoughts and emotions, they are treated by the other characters as anomalies and are deleted in the end.

* NowWhichOneWasThatVoice:
** The original films prior to being reedited had the credits on who voiced which character, but this only covers the main characters. Norman's wife wasn't credited until "Muzzy Comes Back".

** The non-English versions don't have any of their actors credited.

* {{Dogfaces}}: Most of Gondoland's population are humanoids with dog-like muzzles and noses, except for the green goblinoid Corvax, and possibly the King, who looks like an anthropomorphic lion (although he may be a Dogface with mane-like hair).

* OverprotectiveDad: The King gets furious when he learns his daughter is in love with a commoner and throws Bob in jail in response. He verges on the G-rated version of a KnightTemplarParent.

* BeachEpisode: The PC game "Muzzy at the Seaside" is about the title character, the King and Queen, Bob and Slyvia going to the seaside. Corvax wants to go as well, but wasn't invited. He decides to join regardless by stealing Muzzy's spaceship, but because Corvax doesn't know how to control it, he lands on the ocean and drifts the royal family away on a remote island. After Bob and Muzzy were done playing the pier games, they found out what happened and rescue the family while Corvax is punished serving ic cream.

** Unlike the first film where Corvax wants Bob out of the picture so he can try to make a move on Slyvia, and tries to make clones of her only to be rejected and causing a mess after damaging his computer, he goes a step beyond by kidnapping his former love interest's baby so he can teach her to say that Corvax is the rightful king of Gondoland.

** The American [=DVD=]s on the original films had new voices for Bob, Slyvia, Corvax, Norman and Thimbo. But none of the American voices were credited

* PicnicEpisode: Segment 24 of the Vocabulary Builder has the King, Queen, Slyvia, Bob and Muzzy having a picnic.

* RomanticRideSharing: Bob the gardener takes princess Slyvia out for a ride on his motor bike. Bob rides the motor bike up front, while Slyvia hugs him from the back. They sang a song on how much they love each other.

** Corvax claims that it was his computer's fault for creating the extra Slyvia clones. But what he didn't tell was that the reason it made the extra clones was because Corvax himself caused the problem by hitting the computer out of frustration after the first clone rejected him.

** Sylvia's French name is Slyvie.

* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: While most of the dognose cast have skin colours ranging from white to dark brown, Muzzy and Corvax have green skin. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] in Muzzy's case, him being an alien; in Corvax's case it's probably just an emphasis on his ugliness.

* [[AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Alien]]: Muzzy's formal attire [[spoiler: which he wears during Bob and Sylvia's wedding]] consists of a top hat and a bowtie.
