** This theory seems highly unlikely; When Stein first returns to teach at the DWMA, he and Spirit have a lengthy conversation during which Stein talks about Kami before Spirit mentions divorcing his wife. It would be rather strange, even for these two, to talk about Maka's mom as though she were a separate person, plus, Stein would not have been able to graduate as the most powerful Meister the school had ever produced or be partnered with Marie if he was living as Kami during that time, as well as the fact that Spirit is clearly terrified of Stein when he returns. Plus, it would also reframe some of Stein's actions towards Maka when he first appears in a [[AbusiveParents rather different light]].

The time matches up somewhat well, and considering the innovation and complexity Eibon's creations reached, DaVinci could easily be Eibon.
