[[WMG: The Oracle's prophecies won't happen unless someone tries to prevent them happening.]]
The Oracle's prophecies are only one possible future. It is the people that try to stop the prophecies that cause the prophecies to come ture.

[[WMG: The show wasn't originally going to be a Sonic cartoon]]
Simple, and it makes sense, given how different it is from other Sonic media. Early in development, it was originally going to be a wholly original cartoon, only to be [[ReTool Re-Tooled]] into a sonic show. It is entirely possible that originally the heroes were just a BrotherSisterTeam consisting of the characters who became Manic and Sonia, given Sonic's personality is still relatively intact. Robotnik was likely some generic evil overlord who the two main characters would use the PowerOfRock to fight.

The siblings are two brothers and one sister, and Robotnik is the name of this TV incarnation. He was not called Eggman at any point in this series.

The Oracle is actually innocent. He is indeed an authentic oracle that has helped many people in the past. But there is a mysterious and very influential person (about whom we know nothing) who took advantage of Eggman's revolution (or perhaps even helped Eggman provoke the revolution, directly or indirectly) to blackmail the Oracle (by threatening to kill his family or reveal something rotten from his past), forcing him to invent this prophecy so that Aleena's three children would receive terrible educations and thus make it harder for them to defeat Eggman in the future. Perhaps this mysterious person wanted and even needed the brothers to fight Eggman to make the ground easier for this person to take power one day. So, he/she would have invented the necklaces and forced the Oracle to hand them over to the brothers, as part of an entire fabricated war, so the brothers would be distracted by Eggman and leave this mysterious person with a clear path to carry out his/her own plan of world domination.

This is not to say that Aleena or her husband were bad rulers, but they were only nobility, and even the most noble of royals only has so much of a perspective, especially if they've only grown in a specific environment while having little to do with the rest of their society. This would make it very easy for the cracks in society to appear that the royal family might not have noticed until it was too late, making it easy for unscrupulous individuals like Robotnik to exploit for his own benefit. With all that in mind, everything the Oracle is doing, from having the three siblings separated at birth, to revealing the prophecy to Robotnik, and in many cases basically being a TricksterMentor to the three, is very likely a deliberate decision, not just simply to prepare the three for taking down Robotnik, but to also be able to better deal with ruling and rebuilding Mobius afterwards.

The three siblings all being sent into different backgrounds (Manic with the poor and unfortunate, Sonia with the upper crust, and Sonic with the everyday person) is so each of them can have different and complex perspectives that can help each other's lack of understanding and blindspots, while ensuring that all of them still care for ''all'' of Mobius' citizens as a whole, not just simply one group over the others. Robotnik remembering and chasing them down due to the Oracle's reveal of the prophecy to him forces them to be urgent and face the danger that they may not have all taken as seriously separately, while still ensuring that they'd learn to grow together as a team, while also getting to see and know their country personally, and thus be ready to truly rule wisely. If all of them had grown under Aleena, they might have had her as their mother, but they'd also be woefully under-prepared to actually deal with Robotnik, or ultimately fallen under the same trap as their family did if they took the throne, thus possibly allowing for another Robotnik type villain to do the same to them in the future.

[[WMG: Manic's would-be foster family will appear.]]
Somebody might have written a story with it happening and he'll wonder what it'd be like being raised by someone chosen by his mother.
[[WMG: Dingo was working with Sonia the whole time]]
He's not the slow-witted, clumsy fool everyone takes him for. He's the greatest double agent that ever lived. Purposely just a little too slow, lust a little too clumsy, just dumb enough for the hedgehogs to win every single time. The appearance of ineptitude keeps him safe while he works to keep his true love (Sonia) and her brothers safe.

[[WMG: Alternatively to the "Oracle being the true villain" theory, Oracle IS manipulating much of what's going on...]]
...But it's only because he really DOES want to defeat Robotnik and restore a just and peaceful society. However, he wants to create a far better society than the previous one, because while the previous one might have been peaceful and beautiful, [[CrapsaccharineWorld it might have only been this on the surface level.]]

The world of Underground is noted to be rather stratified, with [[DecadentCourt an aristocracy that is allowed to act as they please]] so long as they don't cross Robotnik, and much of the regular citizenry enslaved, in hiding, or living under the radar of Robotnik's rule. While the enslaving aspect is very much the result of Robotnik, who's to say that this kind of existence, albeit in a much less explicitly awful form, existed under the rule of Aleena and her husband, perhaps even before that point? Robotnik's ability to take over therefore might be less purely due to him being a powerful warlord, but also as much the result of a society that was already deeply rotting on the inside reaching it's breaking point, making it plausible for him to [[TheCoup ingratiate himself with the aristocracy for his own power play.]]

[[folder: Oracle-Related WMG Theories]]

[[WMG: Dingo is Sleet's golem]]
By definition, a golem is an artificial being brought to life by science or magic, but in slang it is used for someone who is stupid, literally coming from the Yiddish word meaning 'slow'. Golems are also known for being hostile, but nevertheless faithful to whom they serve (Chaos Emerald Arc, and Dingo's constant panic throughout the show that can be summed up in the sentence 'What am I gonna tell Sleet?'). Golems are also known for speaking after their master does (here, it's for laughs, but it is true to a basic golem formula.)

Dingo's shape-shifting ability also does not come naturally, it comes with a remote control, something that is also mechanically made. Note that Dingo doesn't have control over what he changes into; he changes into whatever Sleet wants him to. He also has a very basic, limited command code, most of it being used on his ability to shape shift. He probably can't do math, but he can swim, drive their car, and is capable of recognizing faces. His disobedience quickly changes back to his humbler state of being after a rebellious streak, possibly because he was programmed to call his master by his first name and to have some semblance of a personality as to not be conspicuous in public, even resulting in basic emotions. Even in the parallel Ancient Rome world, Dingo still serves under Sleet.

[[WMG: Had there been a second season, Tails would've been introduced.]]
Queen Aleena's message at the end of "Friend or Foe" does say the hedgehogs will meet other allies in the final days of Robotnik's tyranny, the first of which was Knuckles. Had the series continued, Miles "Tails" Prower would've eventually appeared & become another of these allies, perhaps even a SixthRanger to the Sonic Underground. To give my theory as to what his backstory would've been, he would've been born to Amadeus & Rosemary Prower (who unlike their Archie counterparts, would be staunch loyalists to the crown, with Amadeus even being a knight in Queen Aleena's service) & whose uncle was a powerful wizard named Merlin (like in Archie). However when Robotnik took over, they were forced into hiding. During their time on the run, Rosemary became pregnant & gave birth to an unusual, two-tailed cub whom they name Miles. Wanting to keep their son safe & not wanting him to grow up in the life of a fugitive, the Prowers came to the painful decision to give him away to a foster family. Leaving him outside the caravan of a traveling circus, the performers take the young Miles in & raise him as one of their own, the boy never knowing anything about his birth parents and only knowing his forename due to it being on a note that was left with him.

In his youth, The Oracle gained a reputation as one through the use of accurately predicting events, manipulation, and even a bit of help through hiring actors. His reputation has become iron clad in the universe's culture by the time of the series to the point he can be much more overt with his manipulation without people getting suspicious or following through his words without thought.
