In an interview with Danny Antonucci he said that the movie would reveal what was under Double D's hat, it never does.does.
** In a deleted scene from "Take This Ed and Shove It", the Eds are revealed to have married the Kankers in the future. While Lee and May aged decently enough given what they looked like when they were young, Marie ends up [[FormerlyFit having gained an enormous amount of weight]], likely as a joke about how she was an EnsembleDarkHorse whom many fans were attracted to. Just listen to the [[https://youtu.be/Zocxf6CdT_w?t=78 crowd's reaction]] during a convention screening for proof.

* ProtectionFromEditors: Danny Antonucci originally pitched the series to Creator/{{Nickelodean}} who were interested but wanted creative oversight on the project. Antonucci declined and instead took it to Creator/CartoonNetwork who agreed to let him have complete creative control. Antonucci's involvement is in fact so integral to the series that he co-wrote/directed literally every single episode, special, and the movie.

** Of the three Eds, Creator/TonySampson (Eddy) is the only one who retired from voice work following the end of the show, eventually starting a new career in the oil sands industry. He disappeared from the public eye for a while (only having a few private social media accounts), but eventually resurfaced in 2021 for a reunion podcast with fellow Eds Creator/MattHill and Creator/SamuelVincent. He later explained in [[https://youtu.be/ysz2jFe1Tns?si=GGJtolwvndAPR6k9 a subsequent podcast]] that he left the acting industry due to a pay conflict.

[[labelnote:Context]] Sampson asked the production company for a raise, and they responded by threatening to blacklist him. This rather harsh response is what convinced him to retire from the acting business for good.[[/labelnote]]

Has its own page.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: There were originally plans for the series to have a theatrical film following ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirlsMovie''. But due to that film underperforming, Cartoon Network backed away from feature films and have since stuck with made-for-TV movies for their shows, with this series getting ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddysBigPictureShow'' in 2009.
