* CreatorBacklash: Dave Johnson, the original character designer for Seasons 1 and 2 of the original series, later shared several character model sheets in his Website/DeviantArt account in 2010, talking about how he felt about his designs in hindsight. He expressed regret for making some designs that the animators has a lot of difficulty working with, such as XLR8, Wildmutt, and Ripjaws. He especially regrets the latter, even claiming that he would change it if he had the opportunity to, explaining that the character's lack of expression, "dead eyes", and absence of lips made him an unappealing design.

* GodDoesNotOwnThisWorld: Creator/ManOfActionStudios created the original ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'' show. It has been repeatedly stated by them and others that they have nothing to do with [[WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce the]] [[WesternAnimation/Ben10UltimateAlien three]] [[WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse sequels]], as those shows had entirely different creative teams: Creator/DwayneMcDuffie for ''Alien Force'' and ''Ultimate Alien'' and [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Matt Youngberg]] for ''Omniverse''. Even then, they were mostly on writing duties in regards to the original series, due to the inexperience they had with animation production at the time. They only gained full creative control upon the ContinuityReboot.

* IKnewIt:
** In the first episode Max corrects Gwen that Ben had turned into an alien instead of a monster, leading fans to think he was involved with aliens sometime in his past, as it turns out he was part of a an intergalactic law-enforcement organization called the "Plumbers".
** Some guessed that Ghostfreak would turn evil when they found out the MonsterOfTheWeek was an Ectonurite in "Ghostfreaked Out", despite some sources saying that it was a completely separate Ectonurite. When the episode aired, the truth became apparent after a nightmare detailing Ghostfreak telling Ben to ''let him out of the watch'', and then subsequently escaping the watch after dealing with Zombozo's unemployed henchmen.

* AscendedFanon: The franchise has had a history of doing this by accident. For several years [[https://ben10.fandom.com/wiki/Ben_10_Planet Ben 10 Planet]] had an undocumented history of fans vandalizing pages to add minor details about characters and species, such as listing Dr. Animo's middle name as "James" and dubbing Eye Guy's species as "Opticoids". As a result of these vandalizations never being removed, writers would use the fan wiki for research and add these details to episodes and guidebooks, unaware they were made up by fans, though for Eye Guy, he was called a Scleran in FusionFall.
