* Along his more violent forms of [[MoodKiller Mood Killing]], Sousuke in ''Literature/FullMetalPanic'' has a habit of regularly ruining his friends' enthusiasm for a fun trip, usually by relaying a tragic war story it reminds him of or highlighting all the (highly unlikely) ways it can go horribly wrong. Kaname usually finds these almost as infuriating as the explosions.

However, her flashback sequence reveals that she became TheEeyore after [[spoiler:a traumatic accident left her unable to do the one thing she loved the most]]. After this, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness her only line of dialogue is that she’s a bad person]], and every shot she’s in is washed out and framed in darkness while she’s giving a ThousandYardStare [[GrayRainOfDepression while it rains outside]].
