* ''Series/InterviewWithTheVampire2022'':: In "[[Recap/InterviewWithTheVampire2022S1E6LikeAngelsPutInHellByGod Like Angels Put in Hell by God]]", it's lampshaded by Louis de Pointe du Lac with regards to his boyfriend Lestat de Lioncourt's decision to have the latter's ''mistress'' Antoinette Brown sing "Come to Me", a song Lestat composed as a [[GiftOfSong Valentine's Day]] ApologyGift for Louis.
-->'''Louis''': The audacity of it all was matched only by its sincerity. He had made the near-perfect valentine, with one flaw. [...] One perfectly premeditated flaw.

** Subverted in an episode where the Janitor tries to convince Turk and JD that he has an identical twin running around the hospital, pulling pranks and confusing people. Turk and JD don't believe it for a second. The episode ends with the three characters on an elevator, and the Janitor confidently saying that they'll see his identical twin as soon as the elevator doors open. The elevator stops, the doors open...and there's nobody there. JD and Turk immediately crack up. The Janitor's shoulders drop and he admits, "OK, I don't really know what I expected to happen there."

* ''Series/TheExpanse'': How does Holden plan to get a cargo ship full of refugees through a war zone where ''everyone'' has just target locked them? By hailing every ship in both the UN Navy and MCRN fleets, target locking them back, and threatening that if anyone fires on them, the ''Rocinante'' will launch everything it's got: one small gunship against two entire fleets. It works, because as Holden points out "They're saving their bullets for each other."

* This is how the game staff of ''Series/SquidGame'' get away with their crimes. The entire concept of the game-- adults playing rounds of children's games, with death as a losing penalty-- sounds absolutely ridiculous, and it sounds even more unbelievable that the victims can win cash prizes or simply leave if they agree. When Gi-hun (and presumably the other survivors) tries to report the game to the police, they thought he is a crazy drunk.

* ''Series/ObiWanKenobi'': When speaking to his Jawa friend Teeka, Obi-Wan mentions he's been having problems with his vaporator, as some parts were stolen. Teeka eagerly offers to sell him ''the exact stolen parts''.
-->'''Obi-Wan:''' Teeka, if you're going to steal my parts and sell them back to me, could you at least clean them? As a courtesy.\\
'''Teeka:''' Cleaning costs extra.

* ''Series/TheAdamAndJoeShow'': Adam and Joe attempt to [[FollowTheLeader cash in]] on the success of ''Series/{{Jam}}'' by creating disturbing comedy sketches based around death, sexual assault, and so on. Eventually, Joe invokes this trope by playing a TV repairman who finds a dead baby behind the set and says he will have to rape the corpse so he can fix the TV. Adam is disgusted and [[DudeNotFunny walks off the set]], while Joe complains "you don't understand my genius!"

* The title character of ''Series/{{Lucifer}}'' never lies about who he is (or anything at all) and in fact makes frequent mention of it in earshot of people who are not in on it. People simply dismiss him as eccentric.
