* Balking summoned spirit:
** Garm, a demonic wolf spirit, was not happy at having been summoned at all by a human medium, but is positively outraged that he was not the spirit meant to be summoned, meaning he was disturbed for no reason at all. He attacks, and it takes the combined effort of Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld to banish him again.
** Inverted by Peorth. Peorth is very surprised to discover that Keiichi did ''not'' intend to summon her from the [[CelestialBureaucracy Earth Relief Helpline]], as Keiichi is a bit [[{{Understatement}} full up on goddesses at the moment]]. However, Peorth refuses to return to Heaven until Keiichi makes a wish from her, and she's fairly certain she ''knows'' what it is he wants. (As a clue she tells him to [[PornStash check a drawer in his desk]]). When Belldandy tells Keiichi she ''wants'' to eventually do those things with him, Keiichi says those words satisfy his wish, and it turns out it was a BatmanGambit by Heaven to accomplish just that.

* RedundantRomanceAttempt: Keiichi's attempts to work up the courage to kiss Belldandy cause him to heat up. Belldandy misinterprets this as a fever and tries to "cure" him with her magic.

** It's not at all surprising from [[MsFanservice Urd and Peorth]], or from [[EvilIsSexy Hild and Mara]] (the latter only occasionally). But, when ''[[InnocentFanserviceGirl Belldandy]]'' [[https://web.archive.org/web/20131114030954/http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/4939/belldandysurprise.jpg displays it]], the [[HeadTiltinglyKinky mind goes "Tilt"]].

* SharedFateUltimatum: The doublet system between the Goddesses and Demons works this way by using a type of {{Synchronization}}. A Goddess and a Demon are paired, and then their memory erased of who their pair is with. Thus, neither side can kill the other, lest they kill an ally they care about, or even themselves, while trying to take out the opposition.

* IntimateLotionApplication: The second [[OriginalVideoAnimation OVA]] has [[BeachEpisode Keichi take Belldandy to the beach]] as part of a [[ShipperOnDeck plan set up by Urd to bring the former two closer together]]. Urd gives Keichi a sunscreen that's infused with a LovePotion to put on Belldandy, and when he's about to, nervously, put some on her, Sayoko interrupts him and spills the bottle's contents.

*** LoveGoddess and ShipperOnDeck Peorth gave Keiichi a serious pep talk so Keiichi could do this in Chapter 194 (TV episode 50). Unfortunately, Urd didn't think it would work, so she secretly gave him a capsule that amplified the the power of the word "love". The result? Belldandy is KO'd by the power of the word, [[ComedicSociopathy and poor, poor Keiichi still hasn't officially confessed his love]].

* PervertAlliance: A very bizarre example involving a group of girls acting in what they believe is the interest of a male. Urd, Peorth, and Skuld are all trying to prove that they are capable of granting wishes in an unofficial contest. Seeing Keiichi respond to the sight of a woman's skirt being blown up by the wind, they all try to accommodate what they believe is his desire by casting spells to make the wind flip up girl's skirts for him. Unfortunately, their spells get intertwined, turning Keiichi into the wind itself. Thankfully, Belldandy is able to restore him.

* FaceOfAThug: Tamiya and Otaki look mean and intimidating, [[NoIndoorVoice and they are incredibly loud]], but they are actually the softest teddy bears at Nekomi. They are [[{{Whipped}} absolutely terrified]] of Chihiro, their senior who is less than half their size, and she occasionally makes them serve as her personal slaves. They boss Keiichi around, especially early in the manga, but it's clearly shown to be a SenpaiKohai thing rather than anything personal. Even when they unceremoniously throw him out of the dorm after Belldandy shows up, they claim it's nothing personal and [[LawfulStupid they're just following the rules]].

* SenpaiKohai: Keiichi has two wild, wild sempais: Toraichi Tamiya and Hikozaemon Otaki. In turn, Keiichi is Sora Hasegawa's sempai (Belldandy is too, but [=K1=] is who Sora has this sort of relationship with).
** Tamiya and Otaki's behavior is heavily implied to be a result of how they were treated by Chihiro – ''their'' sempai in the Motor Club – who eventually returns.
