Meanwhile, Rain remains a villain throughout the story, but has a HeelRealization in his Arcade ending, and there are hints that his path towards atonement and forgiveness may or may not stick.

* Ros Myers was in the inner circle of the Collingwood Cabal from the two-part premiere of ''Series/{{Spooks}}'' series five, alongside her [=MI6=] boss Collingwood, her father Sir Jocelyn (the financier of the group's attempted coup d'etat), and newspaper mogul Paul Millington, who's been skewing his headlines to ensure maximum panic (and by extension, support for the "antiterrorism" measures upon which their planned police state will be built). She's quite appalled after Collingwood decides to pull the trigger on an assassination of the Home Minister and a staged airplane collision over London despite a presumed negotiation with Harry Pearce and his supporters, where he promised a short truce. Ros promptly texts Adam Carter to warn him of the assassination attempt and spends the second part of the premiere passing intel of the Cabal's actions to Section D, before quitting Six and joining MI5 at the end of the episode.

* ''Series/OceanGirl'': Ellie Hauser is the only named female member of PRAXIS, and also the only one to treat Neri like the teenage girl she is rather than an alien specimen to be studied and exploited. Neri's condition in captivity worsens because the mostly male staff can't be bothered to give her water and sunlight, and Ellie's compassion for her eventually gets her access to Neri's cell revoked. Ellie ends up breaking her out and hands her back to ORCA, where she eventually makes a full recovery. She ends up quitting PRAXIS when her superior talks about how their experimentation on Neri was "regrettable", but allowed them to make strides in an unknown medical field.

** Subverted in ''Film/YouOnlyLiveTwice''. Bond is captured by SPECTRE agent Number Eleven, who then frees him, apparently having decided to defect. They spend the night together, Bond quipping "The things I do for England..." as he uses the scalpel she was threatening him with to cut the straps of her evening gown. Next morning, they get into a light aircraft together to fly to safety, but it's a trap and she bails out, leaving Bond restrained in the rear seat while the now-pilotless aircraft dives towards the ground. However, Bond survives, and her actions are enough for Blofeld to decide to feed her to his SharkPool.

The Transformers examples are good examples; I'll touch them up a little.

** One episode, "The Conscience of the King" attempts to do this with Lenore, an actress in a company of Shakespearean actors (InSpace). [[spoiler: Her father was once a leader of a colony that ran out of food, and so he ordered that half of the population be killed while the rest would be rationed whatever food was left [[note]] This was written long before ''Infinity War'', Marvel fans, so sit down. [[/note]]. The relief aid arrived a day later, and his actions earned him the nickname "the Executioner" and a life in hiding. Lenore learned about it, and instead of being horrified she trained herself to be a serial killer and spent the next several years killing any witness to the event. At the end of the episode she tries to kill Kirk and a lower-ranking officer, only to kill her father instead, and she suffers a mental breakdown.]].

** Later [[Franchise/StarTrek Star Trek shows]] averted this trope, with several episodes having unrepentant villainesses; "The Drumhead" from TNG, for example.

''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''. Blackarachnia is the only female Decepticon we regularly see (other than Starscream's [[GenderFlip clone]]), and it's hinted a few times in seasons one and two that she has feelings for Optimus and wants to join his team, but believes that the Autobots would never accept her, and she's so disgusted by her organic half that she doesn't believe anyone could accept her as she is. Season 3 however has her cross the MoralEventHorizon [[spoiler: when she kidnaps Wasp and turns him into Waspinator, and reveals to Sentinel that she's the former Autobot Elita-1, which causes him to call her a monster and try to kill her]]. By the series' end, she's as villainous as she ever was.
*
Averted in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'' with Airachnid, breaking Airachnid. She's arguably more deadly than most of the trend ''Decepticons'' (except for Megatron and Soundwave), and takes sadistic pleasure in torturing/killing ''anyone'' [[spoiler: She used to roam the universe killing sentient creatures for trophies, she murdered Tailgate, and she ''dismembered'' Breakdown.]] [[note]] Also, did I mention that she looks like the love child of spiderbots doing this. [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Maleficent]] and a robotic tarantula? [[/note]].
