* A number of moments in "[=DeadAlive=]", but especially Mulder and Scully being finally reunited at the end.

* In "Small Potatoes", after the villain of the week calls Mulder a loser for not having a social life, Scully reassures him "I don't imagine you need to be told this, Mulder, but you're not a loser."

* Mulder surprises Scully with a celebration of her birthday at a bar in "Tempus Fugit". Scully is moved because he never remembered her birthday. Mulder tries to belittle it by claiming that this is how he likes to celebrate it -- every four years because then it's like dog years. It's all very sweet with a little strawberry cupcake or ice cream with a sparkler, the happy birthday song by the waiters and a little present which is a gold Apollo 11 key chain. It's also a bit of a tear-jerker because [[YourDaysAreNumbered it happened after Scully had been diagnosed with cancer]].

* Mulder and Scully having an impromptu slow-dance at the very end of the "The Post-Modern Prometheus". That the episode itself was something of a Moment of Awesome for the season or series which earned it seven Emmy nominations and a parade of rave reviews enhances the good feeling. Creator/DavidDuchovny would go on to say that whatever came after, for him, that one moment would always remain his favorite.

* Kumail Nanjiani getting cast in the revival. It could almost be seen as a thank you for all the work his ''X-Files Files'' podcast did to raise the profile of the show while it was off the air. Bonus points for his role being in "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster", the Darin Morgan-penned episode. Fans of the podcast will know the Darin Morgan episodes tend to be Kumail's favourites.
* The tribute to Kim Manners in the same episode. During the scene between Mulder and Guy in the cemetery, one of the tombstones bears the X-Files director's name. Mulder even puts some flowers on it.
* When ''Series/TheAdventuresOfBriscoCountyJr'' was cancelled, some of the crew ended up getting jobs on this show. Flash forward a few years to "Terms of Endearment" and its big guest star, Creator/BruceCampbell. In his book, ''If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor'', Campbell described the experience as like "coming home."
