** Harry actually does wear watches in the series before then, at least in book three, as he checks the time on it while he and Hermione are waiting to rescue Sirius from Flitwick's office. That being said, this watch is almost certainly a hand-me-down from Dudley, simply given to him instead of throwing it away. Plus, it's so easy to forget that Harry has a watch in those moments so the birthday present still pays off.

This isn't accurate: The Death Eater was lifted off his feet. He writhed through the air like a drowning man, thrashing and howling in pain, and then, with a crunch and a shattering of glass, he smashed into the front of a bookcase and crumpled, insensible, to the floor.

** Better yet... he does cast the spell. But it only knocks the target backwards and knocks him hard against the wall like a Stunner would... not something the Cruciatus is supposed to do at all. Even under those circumstances, he didn't stoop low enough to actually enjoy cruelty for cruelty's sake (which is how the curse works).

** For that matter, the statues of James, Lily and Baby Harry. This, along with the house, make clear The Wizarding World made sure that nobody forgot Harry's parents.

** The fact that she's accompanied by Ernie and Seamus during this scene is a small but still heartwarming and awesome moment, as it shows three different houses working together to help Harry.
* A [[TearJerker slightly dark]] example, but the fact that Harry is having trouble casting a Patronus after Fred's death shows just how important [[FamilyOfChoice the Weasleys]] have become to him.

** Harry also names one of his children after Dumbledore; showing that, despite his rage at the man throughout the book, Harry has ultimately chosen to forgive him.
** Harry also names her daughter after Luna Lovegood.

* Throughout the series, the Slytherin House was always filled with [[AmbitionIsEvil evil, horrible people who all became dark wizards]], with but a few exceptions to the rule. In the epilogue, young Albus wangsts about the idea of being put into Slytherin, and Harry assures him that there is nothing wrong with that house, that it is just as good as any other. It seemed, finally, after years of [[DoubleStandard hearing only the worst parts of Slytherin]], Harry (and JKR as well) pointed out that one house of people is not solely bad or good. Harry told Albus that if he truly had a problem being sorted into Slytherin, the Sorting Hat would take his choice into account. It was a call-back to the first book. Even though Albus is sorted into Slytherin in ''The Cursed Child'', Harry's words of the house not being all bad was confirmed: Albus and Scorpius (a Malfoy no less) remain good people.

** There's also the way Dumbledore tells him that. One might expect Dumbledore to feel rather smug that Voldemort is getting his just comeuppance, given how many of his students Voldemort and his followers hurt, tortured, killed, etc. But instead he just states it rather flatly, as if to say that he isn't particularly happy about it either.

** Even better? He didn't run away and have a change of heart. He ran away--and ''gathered an army'', trusting that the Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws would be able to hold the line all night long. That, right there, is the best of Slytherin House.

* When he learns that Moody's eye was taken by Umbridge to be turned into her own security system, Harry steals it and later buries it in the forest and marks a cross in a tree over it. Moody's body was evidently pilfered and destroyed by the Death Eaters, but now, at least, Harry can give his old mentor and comrade some peace in the afterlife.

** This speech is also what prompts Harry to reveal his survival to everyone. It's brief, but a quick reaction shot of his closest friends shows that they're ecstatic to see him alive in spite of Voldemort's claims.

* When Ron comes back in ''Deathly Hallows Part 1'' — the look on his face when he sees Hermione. Quickly turns into a [[MoodWhiplash Crowning Moment of Funny]] when Hermione responds with "You show up here after ''weeks'', and you say ''HEY''?!" What follows is a heartwarming speech to Hermione from Ron explaining how he was able to find them. He heard her voice coming out of the Deluminator, like a whisper, clicks it, then a ball of light comes out of it and floats directly to his chest near his heart. A subtle way of telling her that he loves her.
