*** If anything, based on real precedent, thats only liable to give them another reason to threat him even worse.

* At the end, Reese confesses that he saw how Sam was killed. As such, the police arrests the bullies who killed Sam and Reese for keeping the secret. However, the bullies threatened Reese to kill him if he revealed their identities, so then why Reese didn't use that as an excuse for not informing the police immediately after Sam's death to avoid going to prison? They should understand that he was fearing for his life.

*** Also, the town in general. Despite living in the Deep South with some seclusion from the outside world, they are shockingly tolerant of Khan's faith, especially when contrasted with the reactions of almost everyone else around the nation.
** Why does no one care or notice the obvious signs that he is autistic? At all? Oh right, because they HATE MUSLIMS SO MUCH GRRR.
*** Hate isn't logical. I thought that was one of the points of the movie.
** What is with all of the subplots that go nowhere and mean nothing. "Family around dinner table explains obvious plot developments to audience, then disappear after two scenes" and "Guy learns to yell at mean white people" are just two examples.
*** A lot of Hindi movies have to translate important plot developments that have been introduced in English to the Hindi speaking audience. A lot of times, they character will just say the same things twice. Once in English and then in Hindi. In this case, they couldn't have the character speak in Hindi because he was speaking to an English-only audience. They used the "family around the table" to do the translation.

* I have a huge amount of problems with this movie. It's been a little while, so I'll remember them as best as I can?
** How did they expect the audience to take a kid being killed with a soccer ball seriously? Or the "Evil Dead" first person shot of the guy pulling off the woman's veil?
** Why is Mandira so horrible (She kicks out an autistic man and lets him wander around the country with no money, points and laughs at him at their wedding) and treated so sympathetically?
** If Khan can just walk right through a hurricane to get to the church with absolutely no problems, why didn't everyone just walk out of the hurricane?

** Why is George Bush the devil in this movie? Look, I get it, he wasn't a popular president; a lot of people, including this troper, weren't a huge fan of his administration. But come on; there's a huge difference between bumbling through the Katrina disaster and leaving a town to die! The movie in general seems to propose that America was horrible and racist under W, but Obama made racism go away.
** Also, why are so many of the white characters so terrible? For a movie that's trying to show that racism is bad and we need to be more accepting of each other, many of the white characters veer into Snidely Whiplash levels of discrimination and villainy. Instead of maybe showing these characters as conflicted, nuanced people, they just appear to torment Khan and do little else.

*** There are lot more I am forgetting, but yeah... a lot about this movie just bugs me.

* I know it's a Bollywood movie and made for Hindi/Urdu speakers, and I know it was an emotional moment, but you'd think ''someone'' in the church in Georgia would've asked Khan to tell his life story in English instead of Urdu. (And no, it can't be TranslationConvention; there's one later scene where a character speaking English is audibly overdubbed with an Urdu voiceover.)
