** One gag scene involves Kurapika complaining about how hard it is to pronounce words in English, yet if you try too hard to get it right you look pretentious. A panel from a later scene in the chapter the gag is originally from has Kurapika questioning Vincent’s sexist beliefs about it only being women who do the housework.
** Another extra starts with the phone ringing. Kurapika tells Shimano not to answer it, as it’s his editor calling. She answers it anyway, and his editor is asking what his favorite J-pop group is. Kurapika considers it a foolish question, and Shimano can’t decide.
** Another has Kurapika sarcastically commenting that he has just rolled his lucky Angel number. A panel originally from a different scene in the same chapter is used straight after, implying that Kurapika gets assaulted by Bill after rolling his unlucky Angel number.

* The group goes looking for strong players who aren't interested in collecting cards, so they hit upon the idea of asking Hisoka for help. When they find him, he's in the middle of bathing and as he's commenting on how strong Gon and Killua have gotten, they find themselves staring at his...bits and pieces...[[SomethingElseAlsoRises as their eyes slooowly rise upwards]]. Their horrified expressions are hilarious enough, but Biscuit's drooling over how attractive Hisoka is is what caps it.

* Official translations (such as the Viz translation) of chapters 361-367 feature extra skits of panels taken from other chapters, but the dialog is changed to create some hilarious out-of-context moments.

* Gon, Killua, and Biscuit discover a strange name on the roster: Chrollo Lucifer, the head of the Phantom Troupe. They quickly put together that this, of ''all'' things in the game, is especially suspicious because his Nen was sealed by Kurapika, and he couldn't have ''possibly'' gotten it all back this quickly. So, they decide to warp to his location, only to discover a [[MaleFrontalNudity fully naked]] [[MrFanservice Hisoka ]] greeting them]]. Cue OhCrap faces.

* Cheadle hopes the situation of Gon's revival will become her last chance to defeat Parriston, by exploiting the emotion generated by his entrance to boost support for Leorio. She is immediately defeated by Gon's SimpleMindedWisdom. Leorio can't be the chairman because he's studying to a doctor. He can't be both a medical student ''and'' the Hunter Association Chairman, so Gon nonchalantly votes for Parriston.

** The Filler in the 1999 anime extends Menchi's test by making all the contestants replicate ''sushi'' by only vague descriptions from her. The task generates these moments:
