* In "King Tuttle's Vote", Pompadour tries to convince Celeste in returning to the anti-pollution project, but she keeps refusing due to his constant criticisms of her nonformal tactics. While Babar explains Pompadour handling the situation with "grace, poise, and dignity", Pompadour actually does the ''exact opposite'' of that.

* A rare moment of levity in "My Dinner With Rataxes" has Rataxes accidenetally let slip that he had the various tunnels they are exploring constructed as part of a plan to launch a surprise invasion on Celestville. He tries to cover by claiming they were aimed at a ''different'' nation instead, but Babar brusquely cuts him off and informs Rataxes that he knew about the tunnels and why they were made all along (to the shock of both Rataxes ''and'' [[HypercompetentSidekick Basil]]). He never did anything about them because he trusted the rhino army would be too incompetent to actually ''do'' anything with them.

* "Rhino War" has several notably funny moments.
** When General Pameer tries to coax Rataxes into signing off on a declaration of war by accusing Babar of smuggling weapons through their territory in order to launch a surprise attack on Rhinoland. Without even looking up, Rataxes shoots him down by declaring the idea of ''Babar'' of all people doing such a thing is ridiculous.
** After learning that General Pameer tricked him into declaring war on Celestville, a dismayed Rataxes vents to one of his guards, who suggests that they just let Babar solve all their problems for them. When Rataxes asks if the guard's sure that plan will work, the guard replies tht it always has before.
** Assuaged by the discussion, Rataxes finally calms down... until he learns that Babar has just been imprisoned in his dungeon, whereupon he goes charging down to set his ostensible enemy free.
** The climax of the episode: Babar and Rataxes working together to fight off General Pameer's army with all the carnival supplies that the GeneralRipper used as an excuse to launch the war in the first place. Yes, this means Rataxes ''voluntarily beats up his own soldiers''... and seems to have the time of his life doing so!
** General Pameer's ultimate punishment for causing a war under false pretenses? Rataxes fires him, then he's forced to join the Celestville Carnival as the target in a ringtoss game!
