** FridgeBrilliance: Until one realises that they were blackmailed into doing so, so of course they would try not to let the blackmailer know about it, they want the blackmailer to think the Cluefinders are finding the treasures themselves.

*** Furthermore, not only did the aliens [[KarmaHoudini get away scot-free]], the heroes may have inadvertently ''helped'' them by doing said experiments.
*** A possible de-horrifying way of looking at it; the results of the biosphere combined with the fact that it's highly likely that not all of the Earth animals got off the ship could have just made it so the aliens never had to come back to replenish their supplies because they had plenty of "livestock" and the knowledge of how to breed them. So still kinda creepy but not as bad as it could be.
