* When I first watched the movies, I wondered why [[MadeOfIron despite all the punishment Jason received]], he was only ACTUALLY killed in this fourth movie. Then I realized, when you go over it, it actually makes a lot of sense. [[Film/FridayThe13thPart2 In the second movie]], Jason is “killed” when Ginny drives a machete into his shoulder. However, Ginny was previously injured, and probably not all that strong to begin with, so Jason was incapacitated for a bit, but was still able to live. Then in [[Film/FridayThe13thPart3 Part 3]], Jason is hanged from a barn, but survives, only to take an axe to the head. Jason likely survived the noose because his deformities protected his neck, and head as well with the axe, probably helped with Chris not being that strong either. But in [[Film/FridayThe13thTheFinalChapter The Final Chapter]], Jason takes a machete through his [[EyeScream EYE]], and when he falls down, gets it pushed through the rest of his head, something even he can’t live from. Add in Tommy hacking away at his corpse, and it becomes clear how Jason finally died.

* The first film opens with the POV of the killer as she follows two councilors into the attic. Before proceeding with the murder, the camera pauses over some sleeping children, before moving on without harming them. This is foreshadowing the killer's identity as a grieving mother. It's likely looking at those kids [[TearJerker reminded Pamela of what her son was like in life.]]

* I just came up with some FridgeBrilliance for the infamous [[OffWithHisHead Head Punching scene]] in part VIII. Now lets ignore the whole [[TooDumbToLive punching a man with a hockey mask in the FACE]] part and look at Jason's actions. He could have ended that fight [[OneHitKill in one shot]] and yet he just stood there taking this guys punches. Why? Because Julius is a boxer. He has enough sense to avoid a punch if he sees it coming. As a trained fighter, he could theoretically read Jason and see his attacks coming. Especially since the big guy [[UnskilledButStrong probably doesn't have much style beyond "hit thing I want dead as hard as possible".]] Julius might not have been able to hurt him, but he would have danced around the much slower Jason and dragged the fight out for some time. That is, unless he's too tired to avoid it. FridgeBrilliance, bitches.

* In ''Jason X,'' Adrienne, the blonde who runs tests on Jason's body, removes his mask to get a look at his face (presumably at least somewhat out of curiosity). When Jason awakens, he probably realizes that someone has seen his face, and if we've learned anything throughout the series, it's this-- Jason takes two things very seriously: [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas his mother,]] and his looks. At various times during the franchise, he shows something along the lines of self-consciousness towards his disfigurement. So what does Jason do when he's pissed off at someone for looking at his hideous, rotting mug beneath the hockey mask? ''He returns the favor.'' He dips Adrienne's head in liquid nitrogen, freezing it nearly instantaneously, and ''[[LiterallyShatteredLives smashes her face against the counter next to the sink.]]'' Jason, still holding her body by the back of the head, actually turns (what's left of) her face toward him and looks at his handiwork (a concave slab of featureless frozen skin and blood). Jason's no dummy-- he knows when people are dead, and generally, even if they aren't, he doesn't care and just assumes they are. This is the giveaway that Jason was sending a message. "Oh, you think I'm ugly? You're about to look even worse."
* The ship being named ''Grendel'' in ''Jason X'' is exceptionally fitting. Both Jason and [[Literature/{{Beowulf}} Grendel]] were monsters who dwelled in a lake, both came out and went on murderous rampages when people nearby were engaging in festivals and debauchery, and both had a strong devotion to their mothers. In the later films, Jason even shares Grendel's nigh-invulnerability to ordinary attacks. You could even go so far as to say that Jason Voorhees ''is'' the modern equivalent of Grendel.

* In ''[[Film/FridayThe13thTheFinalChapter Part IV]]'', Trish tries to escape from a house, but finds several of her friends' bodies nailed across the doorways. Cue screaming. However, one has to imagine the scene of Jason taking the time to find a hammer and nails and propping them up just for the pure sake of freaking out someone he was just going to kill anyway.
** Well, knowing Jason, he might have just grabbed the nearest sharp object and ''pinned'' them up, rather than bothering with a hammer or nails.

With that said, Jason himself "drowned" in '57, leading to his mother's own rampage the next year and in '80. So either Jason got split into the lake dwelling Kid Jason and his adult version we all know and love, or Rennie's near drowning was so traumatic that she justified it by imagining it was Jason who had nearly drowned her. Also, Kid Jason has hair.

** He was wanted for his regenerative properties by people in the 2011, not by the people in 2455. He was revived in the future because of his potential value as a nearly 450-year-old living relic.
** Replicating his instantaneous healing factor could still be useful, since you wouldn't always have access to the nanotechnology.

Especially since the big guy [[UnskilledButStrong probably doesn't have much style beyond ''hit "hit thing I want dead as hard as possible.possible".]] Julius might not have been able to hurt him, but he would have danced around the much slower Jason and dragged the fight out for some time. That is, unless he's too tired to avoid it. FridgeBrilliance, bitches.

* Why does Jason always wear a mask, even though he lives in near-total isolation, doesn't seem to care about concealing his identity, and kills anyone who gets close enough to get any kind of look at his face? Because, despite his hulking body, monstrous strength, and horrific brutality, at heart, Jason is still that little boy who was picked on because of his deformities; he hides his face, even when alone, because [[HiddenDepths he's still ashamed of his looks]].

* How about the fact that not even a firing squad could kill Jason in Jason X, the very same thing that killed him in Part 9. He was captured by the government, so it's entirely plausible that he would be fired down by the FBI once again, yet it doesn't work. What if, every time he's killed by something, it won't work again? That or, if [[ComicBook/FreddyVsJasonVsAsh]] is canon, being revived with help of the Necronomicon gave him regenerative powers. Makes sense in a way, though that makes it even scarier that he came back from being beheaded like that.

* Remember how messed up Tommy was when he first encountered Jason as a kid? Well, fast forward to part VI and you'll notice Jason spends an awful lot of time spying on the children at camp. In one odd instance he leaves his machete for a little girl to find. Jason already witnessed how traumatizing he is when Tommy snapped and killed him. He never attacks them while he picks off the councillors. If Jason leaving his machete behind wasn't a mistake, it could mean he's subtly trying to influence [[CorruptionOfAMinor children into becoming as twisted as he is.]]

* The first film opens with the POV of the killer as she follows two councillors into the attic. Before proceeding with the murder, the camera pauses over some sleeping children, before moving on without harming them. This is foreshadowing the killer's identity as a grieving mother. It's likely looking at those kids [[TearJerker reminded Pamela of what her son was like in life.]]
Then in [[Film/FridayThe13thPart3 Part 3]], Jason is hanged from a barn, but survives, only to take a axe to the head.

* Jason was originally drowned by cruel fellow kids, yet we only ever see him wreck vengeance on the adults and teens who come to Crystal Lake. Assuming Jason never tracked down his former bullies for payback, those kids will probably live the rest of their lives with the knowledge they created a monster that's killed hundreds, and might very well be coming for them next.

*** The game confirms that she was having hallucinations well before Jason's death, as in the interview on the tapes you find scattered throughout the game, she admits to killing her husband because she said Jason told her to do it because Eli was hurting him, even mimicking his voice (like she does in the first film). But, it's hard to know for sure if anything she's saying is true or trauma induced psychosis (as the interview takes place after Jason's drowning).
