The final film in the ''Rebirth of Mothra'' trilogy, this movie is considered the strongest entry. The environmental message has been toned down, the monster battles have improved, probably helped by the return of [[BreakOutVillain King Ghidorah]]. The child protagonist is thoughtful and reserved, which many see as an improvement over his more vocal, childish predecessors. He and some of the Elias sisters go through character development, and actual tension is present.

Mothra is giant moth monster, who later became a common recurring character in Godzilla's films. Created when the Kaiju genre was still in its infancy she returned from the Toho break with Godzilla And Mothra The Battle For Earth. The film made a lot of money and there was a lot of new demands for Mothra. In 1996 a new trilogy started staring Mothra and titled 'Rebirth of Mothra.' The trilogy has no connection to the Heishi Godzilla series.
What with toning down the environmental message, improving the monster battles, giving some character development, making a protagonist a not-so-annoying kid, creating actual tension, and bringing back [[BreakOutVillain King Ghidorah]] or rather Grand Ghidorah probably helped ''Rebirth of Mothra 3'' is often considered a huge improvement over the last two movies.
