** He's a wealthy and powerful man who uses his social status as the breadwinner to justify his cheating and other things that Slim didn't approve of, all while showing little empathy by demanding her to get over it and that marriage isn't always fair, while barely acknowledging how much she's done for him and their marriage, partially by stating how his needs and desires aren't being fulfilled in a marriage he's otherwise grateful for. Furthermore, It's also implied that Mitch is paying his men and Robbie in one way or another in exchange to do his bidding, just like the man he bought the house from, not to mention conning and sleeping with multiple women behind their back, as well as showing arrogant overconfidence despite all of his setbacks, even pretending to put on a show of not being confused during the final showdown when he very much is. All of these behaviors have been noted as classic symptoms of the Narcissistic/Egotistical individual, particularly the first example. It goes to show that he always places his own existence above others at all time, no matter what setbacks could occur, including for his emotional state.

** The opening montage seems to focus on this rather than his obsessive side. During the wedding, he asks Slim, "Are you going to give ''me'' babies?". He then completely ignores Slims when she ''commands'' him to give their newly born daughter to her in a very casual tone. Oh, and he lies about a call clearly coming from his mistress being from construction, revealing that he was cheating on her since the beginning of the marriage.

* ExcusePlot: The idea of a married housewife killing off her possessive and controlling husband certainly isn't new or that uncommon. But giving him a taste of his own medicine and what she went through before finishing the deed? With the way the climax is set up, this certainly seems to be the case.

He has a high position, social standing, nice marriage, and he's willing to prioritize chasing women over all of these benefits, to the point of losing control of them, when he refuses to accept that. Whether this has more to do with actual self-serving greed or is mostly based on an obsession with being with women appears to be mostly ambiguous.

* StrawMisogynist: Both Mitch and Robbie are this. They conned women into sleeping with them for personal gratification and discarded them after some time. Robbie seems to be far more open about it though, if the scene where he helps Mitch track down Slim is any indication, while Mitch is more of a narcissist.
