These are recommendations made by tropers for Fan Fics, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be zapped. Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.

Trope is now Sugar Wiki, no non-sugar wicks allowed.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexually explicit or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is SeriousBusiness.

** OperationShoestring: I'm going to have to disrec. The blog clearly contradicts Lewis's work on several points, and lacks anywhere near the depth of analysis the original had.
*** Concerning the contradictions, remember that the blog is being narrated be a devil serving the prince of lies. Screwtape contradicted himself several times in the original book as well. I agree the analysis is not as deep, but the style and theme are intact, and the subjects are still insightful. I would still recommend it.

Negative comments (or "de-recommendations") are not allowed in fanfic recs pages. Add them in the fic's review page if you would like to criticize the work.

** This troper found it lacked the wit of the original. And while Literature/TheScrewtapeLetters were never subtle, the fic is preachy.

** OperationShoestring: The only rec here thus far that is actually in agreement with Lewis's work. HonorH being Christian probably has something to do with that.

It\'s much more reasonable to warn about NSFW material in fanfic. Warnings for same-sex pairings, but not for opposite-sex pairings, only makes sense from a homophobic perspective. (Not that this will probably end up being relevant, considering that this is a recs page for The Screwtape Letters. It\'s the principle of the thing.)

Do warn when a fanfic may head into homosexual or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is SeriousBusiness.

** An exceptional piece - almost like reading the original Screwtape Letters. It helps that a few of the points made (happiness, perseverance) are lifted almost directly from the original material.
