Incorrect Information: Tristan Huw Jones based Copperhead on the 4Kids version of Hun, before Mirage Studios decided to include the actual Hun in the comics.

* CanonImmigrant: He was originally created for the 2003 series, but got popular enough to be adapted back into the comics, and later introduced in the IDW comics and (though [[InNameOnly considerably different]]) in the 2012 series.

* AdaptationOriginConnection: In the original Mirage comics, the Shredder was responsible for Master Splinter getting mutated as Splinter ended up finding the Turtles specifically because Master Yoshi and Tang Shen were killed and he no longer had a home. The Turtles' mutation was, however, a result of an accident, in which, the Shredder played no role. In both the first two animated adaptations, however, the Shredder is responsible for the Turtles' mutation too.
** In ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987'', the Shredder tracked down Yoshi in the sewers of New York City and dumped the experimental mutagen there, in an attempt to kill him, hoping the mutagen would be poisonous and fatal, but the Turtles, who were adopted by Yoshi, got affected by it and mutated.
** In ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2003'', Ch'rell, the Utrom Shredder was directly responsible for the Utroms getting stranded on Earth. This eventually resulted in them accidentally creating and losing the canister with the Ooze that mutated the Turtles and Splinter.

** In the original comics, she has no connections to any of the main characters outside of being part of the Foot clan. In the 2003 series, she is the Shredder's adoptive daughter. The 2012 series also follows suit and portrays her as the Shredder's adoptive daughter, with the added twist that she is Hamato Yoshi's biological daughter. In ''Rise'', she is the daughter of Oroku Saki/The Shredder and the ancestor of Hamato Yoshi and the Turtles. In ''The Last Ronin'', she is the biological daughter of the Shredder.

* DependingOnTheWriter: A lot of tropes carry over between adaptations, but some are fairly unique. Leonardo is always the skilled, "most leader-like", and responsible turtle. But whether its accomplished by being an overly serious workaholic, a respectable older brother figure, bossy teacher's pet, meditative and spiritual, wanting to emulate fictional archetypical heroes or any combination of the above depends on the series and sometimes the story arc. Overall he is one of the most consistent across all adaptations.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: In the original Mirage comics, the 2003 series and ''Rise'', she has a very familial and sister-like relationship with the Turtles. In the 1990 live action movie, the 2014 live action movie, the 2012 animated series and the 2023 CGI movie, her relationship with the Turtle is slightly less familial and she acts as a LoveInterest to one of the Turtles (Michelangelo in the Live action movies, Donatello in the 2012 series, Leonardo in the 2023 move and its spin-off TV show).

Added DiffLines:

* AgeLift: Prior to Viacom's acquisition of the franchise, she was consistently portrayed as an adult with a job (though a rejected animated pilot in the 2000's pitched her as a teenager).
