** Justified considering that Goliath was the one who took the Grimorum from him, and thus ended his plan to kill Prince Malcolm, along with the fact that Goliath dodging his final attack caused him to fall in the cliff nearly killing him.

Gets a bit of a RecursiveAdaptation in the ''{{BPRD}}'' comics with Zinco's successor Mr. Pope who has a much more active interest in the occult and wears a suit of PowerArmor. Perhaps as a parody of Xanatos's renowned hyper-competence, he too ends up turning out to be an UnwittingPawn of the real villains' cosmic schemes who is all too aware of what a mess he's made of things.
