To cover for it, Paperinik asked Gladstone to substiture for him, feigning he had to do a job out of town and Donald was injured. What follows is an insecure Gladstone (because he knew he could die and he had little experience with Paperinik's weapons) facing the villain and his competent gang and inflicting them [[CurbStompBattle one hell of a one-sided beatdown]]. And at the end of the story, Gladstone ''volunteers to it again'' whenever is necessary. Maybe not so awesome, as he now knows he can do it, but considering his laziness...

*** The first thing she does in "Midas' Touch": [[RefugeInAudacity walk into Scrooge's office, tell him her plan, and offering to buy a random dime he touched for a dollar, acting hammily and expecting to be taken for a loon and prompting Scrooge to sell him some coin just to get rid of her]]. ''It works'', at least until Scrooge realizes he accidentally gave her the Number One Dime... And he still thinks of her as a loon up until she decides the Number One Dime would make a better ingredient than a random coin and throws a stun bomb. [[OhCrap It's only when they wake up from it that Scrooge realizes he's not dealing with a loon]].
