- Kyle's ring wasn't weak against yellow because Parallax is out of the Central Power Battery. As for the legitimate trauma, Hal Jordan is a hero. They're not supposed to crack under the stress of a city's destruction unless they're being manipulated.

Why Green Lantern Rings can't make Kryptonite effective against Superboy Prime and Power Girl.
It seems counter-intuitive that the radiation given off by kryptonite can be replicated by a Green Lantern Ring, but that it only works for Kryptonians from the same universe as the Ring. One would think you can simply try different kinds of radiation until you hit on one that works, right? Wrong. Why? All green kryptonite in the multiverse gives off the same radiation. What's different is the vibrational frequency. The pseudo-kryptonite made by Green Lantern rings of New Earth doesn't have the right frequency to affect Kryptonians like Superboy Prime and Power Girl.
- Of course, that raises the question of why they can get charged by our yellow sunlight...
- Won't work. The story that involved the death of the bubble universe Superman — the universe where the Matrix Supergirl came from explicitly stated that the reason their kryptonite didn't affect the mainstream Superman was that the radiation was different.
- Actually, this has just about been confirmed. In Leigon of 3 Worlds, Elemental Lad (I think), created Kryptonite that was able to burn and weaken Superboy-Prime, so the Lanterns could conceivably do the same thing with their rings.
I'm confused as to what, exactly, the theory is, and how vibrational frequency is different from "what kind of radition".
