28/10/09: Removed "Social Services Do Not Exist", as this trope applies to abusive domestic environments where Social Services would normal intervene and remove children. It was being used to cite a lack of child labor laws in LCS. Hence, the trope does not apply.
05/11/09: I would argue against the classification of Cardboard Prison as played straight rather than partially averted. However, this hinges on the interpretation of said trope, and the justification of the partial aversion claim is wholly rooted in a single line therein: "They also have policies against re-arresting escaped Villains Out Shopping unless they commit another crime during the same episode." Is this a fundamental characteristic of C.P., or is it ancillary?
