Umptyscope: Could this be a way to cover additional Japanese syllables in an American dub?
Granted, I don't speak Japanese. But, what if the Japanese track was the character saying "I will defeat you" in a way that took, say, 10 syllables, so the American dub would be like... "I will defeat you! Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Earnest: Man, I love having an upload account. ^_^ -Ehem- That seems a dubbing trope actually, where they use NL to cover different sentence lengths. Maybe Filler Laugh, or Dubbing Filler?
Looney Toons: You obviously haven't listened to too many Japanese tracks or watched many FanSubs. Believe me, they laugh like that in Japanese, too. Just for a quick example, check out Ayeka laughing on the infamous Call Me Princess

Master_Prichter: Does Ichihara Yuuko qualify? She does laugh like that, but she does do it intentionally.

I... don't really remember Precia Testarossa pulling this. All I really recall her doing were either some subdued chuckles or, on one or two occasions, a full-blown Evil Laugh that DIDN'T have the "OHHH-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-etc." of a Noblewoman's Laugh. Can anyone correct me, or should she not be mentioned on this trope page?
