BT The P: SH, I'm not sure what that line you added means. Is it literally that the captions or subtitles will read "reads caution", or will it be written that way in the script as a stage direction?
Silent Hunter: The closed captions will say "Recites caution".
Is it worth mentioning, as a sub-trope, that prior to the "old" version you have, the caution ended "Anything you say will be taken down (and may be given in evidence)" to which the comedy reply, whenever a WPC was within range, was "Knickers!"

No Buddy: Could someone define "stamp her bum" for us 'merkins? I know what "bum" means, but the only bum-related meaning of "stamp" that I'm familiar with is a "tramp stamp", and it seems unlikely that she'd let him tattoo her.
