I've noticed that while this form of punishment is almost entirely limited to elementary school kids in America, it's been used on older students in British media (Harry Potter, who would be fifteen at the time; and Maxwell Edison who is at university). Is — or was — that Truth in Television? Might be worth mentioning in the opening passage of the page.
