Working Title: I Can\'t Believe You Made Me Hit You: From YKTTW

Fanti Sci: Look, I'm sorry to be petty, and it's nothing personal, but this last "How dare you use UK spelling!" edit just happened to be the straw that broke the camel's back, after coming across it in other pages written by UK residents. I am Scottish. I wrote this trope. Thus, the article did not use "mom," it used "mum." Jacqueline Wilson is English - Lola and Andy do not have "moms", they have "mums". Anyone adding anything else to the page has every right to use whichever spelling they wish, but seeing articles changed to American spelling for no other reason than sheer bloody-mindedness is really getting to be a bugbear of mine - especially when that is the only edit that has been made. I have changed the main body of the article to the more neutral "mother." And now I will get off of my soapbox. *descends*

Vuther A: I'm not sure about the Harry Potter example... I always though that Harry just thought he shouldn't push Umbridge any further...

Battle Hamster: Yeah, I don't think it really fits either, especially not well enough for the page picture. What do other people think?

The Nifty: Agreed. This is mostly about the attempt to manipulate the victim into taking the blame for the abuser's actions, and Umbridge was doing it because she's a sadist.
