Eric DVH: Removed the following, since Civilization is a 4X game:
- Quite possibly the Ur-example for computer gaming, but the Civilization series certainly qualifies, as do its spiritual successors Master of Magic and Master of Orion.
Nohbody: How does being a 4X game disqualify them from being listed here? Building an empire (terrestrial or otherwise) one turn at a time is still turn-based strategy.
Eric DVH: Because 4X was split off from this very article, so listing them here is redundant.
