Adam850: All this is irrelevant to the page.

  • This troper likes to think it was a promise for one free ride on the Joanmobile, If You Know What I Mean.
    • Joan was actually dogged by plenty of rumors like this ("The Great Whore of France") by her political enemies, which is why they subjected her to the humiliation of checking her corpse to see if she was virginal.
    • Wasn't she burned at the stake? Seems like that wouldn't leave much to check.
    • If we are to believe some of Besson's film, her virginity was checked - by the French nobility, in order to ascertain whether she was really a messenger from God. This Troper has no idea if that bit of the film has any ground on historical fact (esp. considering the liberties taken in that film). On the other hand, This Troper very much doubts she was burnt a virgin after spending so much time in English prisons, If You Know What I Mean.
  • This troper was under the impression that Joan repeated one of the Dauphin's own prayers (something that only he and God would have known, proving that God had sent her to him).
