Igloo Mc Coy: I deleted this entry: "Real life: The National Museum of Australia, on my visit, seemed to be making a real effort to exclude young white males. (One example: the room of ordinary people had about half a dozen chicken-wire statues; only one could be interpreted as male.) Its failure to do so completely only enforced for me how much the European history of Australia depended on young white males. I figured they were trying to say 'minorities have to put up with being excluded all the time, see how it feels'. I thought, okay, and never went there again (for the museum—I did go to a convention there)." There's an abundance of people taking offense to stuff that's totally random and insignificant, just so that they can say they are being discriminated against. Chicken wire statues? WTF does that have to do with anything. I think any examples (especially real life ones) should be watched carefully, because people take it waaay to far.
