Working Title: The Unfought: From YKTTW
Genji: I'm wondering if a major villain who is only fought as an optional boss would count? They aren't quite examples of The Unfought, but are still villains whose importance gets shafted. I know only two examples:
- In Fire Emblem 7, Sonia—who had basically been Ephidel's Expy since his demise— is only given a boss fight in a side chapter. If you miss the chapter, Nergal kills her instead.
- Kingdom Hearts has Hades, the only member of the major Disney Villains whose world is completely optional. In fact, Sora never has to meet Hades at all... if I recall correctly.
