Describe Suicidal Cosmic Temper Tantrum Discussion here.
Earnest: Not to nag, but... isn't this Omnicidal Maniac?
Andyzero: Not quite, it's a subtrope. Omnicidal Maniacs are destruction, yes, but they don't all have the goal of nothingness. This is a perverse, all-inclusive form of suicide. Only makes sense if someone is insane or so mad they don't care anymore...but often there's not even that.
Haven: Took out this example, from under Doctor Who, since, if I recall correctly, Davros and the Daleks modified the rift in the Medusa Cascade, or something along those lines, so that they wouldn't be destroyed, which makes it a non-suicidal cosmic temper tantrum.
- And if you think his omnicide by default through creating the Daleks was bad, his latest experiment involved stealing planets to use as the core of a device that would literally dissolve everything into free particles by breaking the electrical bonds between electrons, protons and neutrons in atoms.
